This is the third year we have rented this house for our annual trip. It is wonderful home with a beautiful front porch. It is walking distance from Stuart Auditorium but feels very secluded and quiet. The host are easy to communicate with and we have already booked our top for next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ruth & Ted’s lovely home. It is comfortable, well-appointed and in the perfect location for Conference activities. We particularly enjoyed the deck - am and pm. The hosts were amazingly friendly, kind, and helpful. It was just a super stay!

All was great! Beautiful property, inside and out. Gas logs were amazing bonus! Conveniently located for exactly what we wanted to do

The property is very beautiful and I liked it a lot. Only this small problem is the one I found.
The bath towels looked old and there was no soap or shampoo in other properties that rented there is always shampoo and soap

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at this cabin. The owners were very quick to solve a problem we had with the gas logs. The bed is very comfortable, new master bath with tiled shower was great. We loved sitting on the big porch in the rocking chairs. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was a mix of old and new. Nice upgraded master bathroom and amazing rain shower. The WiFi worked great! The property was located close to grocery stores, restaurants, and it was very close to Maggie Valley where our kids loved snow tubing! We took a walk around the lake and were pleasantly surprised to see portions of it frozen! (That never happens in Florida) My daughter and I are history buffs and we loved the cabin’s historical references and the two walls from the original cabin. The fireplace worked great and we spent hours playing board games in the family room since there was an unusual artic blast that happened while we were there. My husband has even purchased dominoes for our family to play at home! We had a great stay and hope to visit again in the summer so we can enjoy the beautiful lake.

Great assess to SEJ meetings.

Not exactly the cabin feel that we were looking for and too many close neighbors, felt more like a subdivision but overall enjoyable.

The cabin was roomy and was very near the picturesque lake. The beds were comfy and the master suite bathroom was fabulous. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

This house is a great property right on the Lake Junaluska property. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and look forward to staying again in the future. The new bathroom, when finished is going to be a great addition.

Good VRBO with many beds, located close to Cataloochee
The house (and the one next door which we also rented) was an older home, but warm and comfortable. We were a Boy Scout Troop with 15 people on a ski trip to Cataloochee, and had plenty of space between the two houses. The property is conveniently located near Cataloochee, and is on paved roads easy to access.

Perfect mountain home
We had an amazing week at this beautiful spacious cabin! It was well stocked, had plenty of towels for the week, a fun game closet the kids loved, and great green space in the front and back to play in. The walk to the lake was very short and the trail around it is beautiful! The people of the community were the nicest I have ever met. It was convenient to everything Waynesville has to offer but felt secluded and private in the trees. It was very clean and working with the owners was a breeze. TV offered an abundance of channels and was easy to work.

Motorcycle Trip
We had a great stay at Junaluska Cabin. The cabin was super clean and cute. It was easy to get to on the motorcycles with a nice little driveway to park in. Ruth was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The listing at the time didn’t mention that they had gotten WiFi, but there was WiFi when we got there. I have Verizon and still had signal as well. I would, as I saw other reviewers recommend, put a door between the kitchen and bedroom; and also put some grip stickers on the shower floor as it is quite slick. But I was prepared for that from other reviews. Overall, this is a great cabin and we enjoyed our down time resting here between long days of riding!

Only thing I don’t like is having to make beds ourselves. Sheets should have already been on beds

Great location!!
We had a wonderful stay at this home!!
The location is excellent - a very short walk to the beautiful lake. My family enjoyed the community pool and kayaked on the lake. The walk around the lake is beautiful and the people are so friendly. We will definitely stay at this location again.
I do have a couple of suggestions for the house. It would be helpful if there were some clocks in the bedrooms - I was always looking for my phone so I knew the time. The only clock was in the kitchen. I would also have some cooking spray and measuring cups on hand for cooking. I did bring food to feed my family but these were 2 important things that I forgot to pack because I thought it would be at the house. It also gets VERY dark at night. I would have a nightlight or two for the hallways to find a way to the bathroom. The tub is VERY slippery so I had to put a towel on the bottom of the tub so I wouldn't slip - maybe put some kind of tub mat on the bottom. I would also close up the gap in the 2nd small bathroom - there is no privacy and the door kept sliding open when I was using the washroom.
Just a couple of things I noticed but it wouldn't discourage me from renting this home again.

Cozy and well equipped home with responsive owners
The location of the home is almost perfect! It is on a circle road where our 10 year-olds could walk safety for some independence. It is within walking distance of the activities at the lake if you like walking. If not, it is a very short drive. The area is very quiet, yet you can feel the amazing energy of Lake Junaluska.
The home is very cozy with comfortable furniture in the living room. The carpet is soft so playing games with kids on the floor is great fun! The owners provide many fun games to choose from. The kitchen is well stocked for all kind of cooking and there are more than plenty of dishes! There is also cabinet space for your own groceries. We cooked in all meals over our 6 nights except for one! It is great to have the choice of a k-cup coffee maker or one that uses the grounds.
The 1.5 bathrooms were fine and it is nice for the sheets and towels to be provided. The back brick patio is very delightful with trees, a small table, several chairs and a grill with propane provided (it even lights its self!!!)
The mattresses are very comfortable in all the beds except for the single bed and trundle. These are very hard :-( We did not use the beds in the fold out couches.
It would be nice to have a washer/dryer on the property since it is a home large enough for a family. Please note that there is not a door in-between the master bedroom and the kitchen area. This made it tough to sleep in.
Overall, 5 stars! The owners are very kind and are very responsive to all questions and needs. We are excited to return soon and highly recommend this property for your visit to Lake Junaluska! It is obvious that the owners want you to enjoy your stay.

Overall great stay! Was a bit harder to manage one bathroom with a party of 10 than we anticipated. Everything is as listed on the property. We had a good time.
