Good location for affordable price. Shower and bathroom very modern.
Beds are very tiny, nobody at reception ever due to virtual online check in system and no milk for the tea or coffee provided.

Close to center. Easy walk. Everything in room was well set.
Need more information how to find this hotel, more visible signs.

self service, atmosphere, friendly staff, safe feeling.
was okay and worth the price. arrived at midnight and was bit searching to find the building because of look alike buildings, but although flight tyrenis i managed and found it. depends from where you reach 'upstairs' to be able to see which one is the highest.

Staff arranged very early check for us after a red eye flight - much appreciated!

Good ratio of bathroom to bedrooms. Clean. Great location. Basement parking available.
Arriving via the basement doesn't impress but ok once at podium/courtyard level where the building entrance is located.

It was very clean and comfortable, the location was good, the employee was very good.
Our room was a bit small.

Bed felt good, showers were great and we didn't have any problems with the fridge.
Option to wash clothes, which to my knowledge was free
We had a fair amount of issues. First, the hostel is REALLY difficult to find. When we finally found the right building, it was super hard to figure out where to get in. We were lost for ~30 minutes trying to get in. Finally I had a phone call with the hostel but the only instruction I received: "look at your reservation on booking.com".... We weren't impressed, but luckily my friend found the right door without the staff's help.
Also, we were disappointed that booking.com mentioned having a shower in your room and having cooking options, which weren't true. The showers are shared between all the guests. There's no other option to cook food than with a microwave.
The rooms dont have air conditioning and we only had 1 key for 2 persons' room which might be disappointing to some people.
Once we got in after a day at a music festival, we noticed a handout on the hostel door informing that the hostel would have an electricity outage on the next morning from 9am to 1pm and that there might be no water during that time. We would have appreciated this information before or during the check in.
When we were about to go to shower, we noticed our towels had brown stains.... But we were able to change the towels the next morning. The hostel staff is only present during the morning (until 2pm).

very functional place, you find there everything you need, but not more, the hostel is very clean, the communication was quick, self check in was very easy, I would say: it is good place to come late and to leave soon :-)
the building is ugly, the hostel is in the 9th floor, currently there is a big road construction, when you come with the bike (what I did) you arrive in a parking aera that is dirty and a bit dark , a homeless person also sleeps there. It is not dangerous as nowhere in Finland, it just not a good environment. So definitely, I would not stay there very long. But for a ultra-short stay, the hostel is functional. No atmosphere, noisy and really ugly sourrounding, but otherwise well equipped.

Location in the city center.
A bit hard to find, only a tiny sign on the entrance to "Meritorni".

Location was fine albeit a bit away from centre - but manageable. Rooms were newly refurbished, comfortable and clean. Would recommend for a cost effective stay in Helsinki if you are in the area

good location, a bit hard to find the entrance though because of all of the construction.
not a single employee was to be seen ever so questions couldn’t easily be asked.

Nice location, 9th floor so you can check what is around. Easy self-check inn.
separate beds, was hot in a room, the window stuck a bit.

Clean, good location, great communication with the staff
A little noisy, you could hear everything from other rooms

Hostel was nice and quiet. Mostly spotlessly clean even though occasionally a guest would leave a mess behind in the bathroom. But that got cleaned quickly by the personnel.
One person room was tiny but comfy. Fridge and water cooker was a great extra. Rooms seemed also to be sound proof since construction sounds from street below were barely audible.
Location was in the middle of huge construction site and therefore difficult to find. Google Maps sent me first to wrong location and finding right address took a while. Also the TV in the room wasn’t working properly, only 2 channels functioned.

Clean and comfortable hostel. I appreciate the possibility to have hot tea. The wi-fi is working very good.
The mattress wasn't good.
