Sehr enttäuschend...

Mitten im Zentrum

Wir hatten über booking.com ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen. Als wir ankamen, sagte man uns entschuldigend, dass nur noch ein sehr kleines Zimmer frei wäre. Hatte zwar dieselbe Ausstattung, jedoch nur ca. 15 Quadratmeter (inkl. Bad). Für das Frühstück haben wir 12 Euro extra bezahlt pro Person. Es gab kaum Auswahl an Aufschnitt, keine echte Nutella, usw. Durch die schlechten Kritiken bei Google für das Restaurant haben wir uns abends nicht getraut dort zu essen und sind woanders hingegangen. Zum Bad gab es keine richtige Tür und im Bad keinerlei Ablüftungsanlage. Das Wasser im Waschbecken floss nur sehr langsam ab und unter dem Waschbecken sah es gruselig aus (siehe Fotos). Da das Zimmer "im Angebot" war, war es für eine Nacht gerade noch okay. War aber weit weg von dem was wir uns erhofft hatten.

Het eten was zeer slecht, zowel het restaurant als het ontbijt. Je betaald 26 euro voor een teleurstellend kip pasteitje. De bediening hoest over je eten heen en ik vraag me af of ik überhaupt schoon bestek had, zo vies zag het eruit. De hotel kamer is niet schoon gemaakt, maar ze zijn wel de kamer binnengekomen om extra toiletrollen te leveren(ze dachten blijkbaar dat we aan 2 niet genoeg zouden hebben dus kregen we er 4).

Disappointed as one expects a bit more customer focus for the price one has to pay.

Clean and nice location. Breakfast was very good.

Staff of restaurant was not friendly. Could not have dinner anymore at 8.15 and next day at 7.30 our choice was limited to salad, burger or pizza. Everything else was not possible. Even though the menu states one can order grill till 9.30. A pity for a nice business in a nice location.

A very average hotel lacking in many aspects, which could easily be improved on to make the place better.

We enjoyed the free beverages in the mini fridge, the bed was very comfortable and the night table lights were handy and nice. The restaurant’s view was pretty. The staff was kind.

The room we stayed in wasn’t properly cleaned: loads of dust under the bed, stains on bedsheets, random splatters on walls in the bathroom (toilet and shower). The TV had handprints on it as well, very visible when lights are on. The French TV channels which were said to be available weren’t. For the restaurant, the quality was lacking (especially the waffle which was barely eatable), and the breakfast really wasn’t worth 12€ for how little choices were displayed.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel

Schöne Lage am Fluss , sehr nettes Personal, kaltes Orangen Wasser für Gäste umsonst , zwei kalte Willkommens Bier im Kühlschrank ♥️ und ein sehr leckeres Frühstück mit selbst gebackenem Brot

Ich weis nicht ob das River Restaurant zum Hotel selbst gehört aber dort hat es mir nicht ganz so gut gefallen

Der Aufenthalt sehr schön.

Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und alles in Ordnung mit frischem Obst, und sehr gutem Kaffee. Das Familienzimmer war sehr groß und das Bad auch.

Es hätte etwas sauberer sein können. Nichts schlimmes nur staubig im Zimmer und der Spiegel war schmutzig und der Fernseher ging nicht. Weil die Familie aber nur 1 Nacht da war war es nicht schlimm.

Lovely stay, friendly people and above all a magical location, couldn't ask for more!

On arrival at the hotel we we were greeted by the lovely mdm Fernande, who showed us around the hotel and explained all the little things, our room was very nice with everything as expected. The location of the hotel is truely magical, especially in the evening when the castle is lit up, the surrounding forests are ideal for a long walk (or run). All in all a very lovely stay and i would be happy to go back!

A short and sweet stay!

Our host was very friendly and helpful, everything you can wish for. Also the food - both dinner and breakfast- were great. There's a boucherie in the hotel as well, with schnapps and lots of good sausages :-) See you soon! Nicole et Lucas

Would be a nice place to stay at in winter.

The staff were friendly and helpful especially Sandra at reception. The location is excellent for visiting the castle.

No parking on site and only 3 hrs limit pay parking during the day (if you can find any) in the immediate vicinity. There is free street parking about 1km away. I did visit during an annual festival which did not help. Unfortunately my room was directly over the bakery and so was very warm. The portable air conditioner supplied needed an open window in order for the a/c vent to discharge. This then allowed flies to enter the room.

Disappointing

the location was perfect with stunning views! There was a fridge in the room with complementary water. The room was clean and comfortable.

The room was very basic and unfortunately there is no air conditioning, with the hot night we had, it was unpleasant. We left the windows open for fresh air and breeze but unfortunately the noise from the road right below the window, and the guests at the hotel opposite who were seated right across the street were loud, which made it impossible to get to sleep, especially after a full day of driving. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was disappointing.

The room was nicely equipped with good beds. Food at the restaurant was excellent. And the views from the terrace at the castle in the evening.

No free parking, there was no trash bin in a room, the shower sucks-water is all over the bathroom. Really poor equipment of the room.

The location was great and the lady at the reception really nice and helpful

The rooms definitelly need a good scrub. The advert didn't mention the restaurant was closed and the hotel didn't offer any breakfast.. There wasn't even any kettle in the room to make some coffee in the morning

Great location and comfortable but some communication issues

Big room with a great view towards the castle snd a comfortable bed. Excellent location. Reasonable price.

There was no-one present at the hotel when we arrived and the instructions given prior to arrival on how to access the hotel and what to do when leaving were lacking. Information about whether the restaurant was open for breakfast was conflicting (app vs. on the door of the room vs. notification outside the hotel).

Great location by the Victor Hugo Museum

Great location by the river and the Victor Hugo Museum. Good-value room (decent size for the price).

The TV was not working and we were informed the day before that the restaurant was closed and no breakfast would be served. No hand soap was provided in the bathroom. A small empty bottle of liqueur had been left in the room, which was otherwise very clean.

Great location and comfy bed!

The bed was so comfortable! Had such a good night sleep. The room was very spacious, warm and the bathroom was nice.

There was a small issue at check in but this was resolved quickly.

Superb

Good location with a beautiful view of the castle. It was a pretty and romantic room

The beds and pillows were a bit hard for my taste. And apparently we did not come in the right season (week after new year), which led to the restaurants being closed in the village. Due to occupied free parking, we needed to pay a bit for parking (about 2 euros)

They gave us a better family room (upgrade). The room was spacious and with nice views.

When we arrived the trash was still in our room. We called for it to be removed, but it took a day because there was no staff at that moment (it was a self-check-in hotel for those months)
