La ubicación sin duda es excelente.

Todo bien. Quizás esperaba un poquitín más por lo que pagué. Personal de limpieza y desayunos muy, muy amable y atento. Mi checkin podría haber sido algo más rápido y cómodo si no me hubieran pospuesto por una llamada interna.

Stayed there twice

Great location, close to nearby pedestrian walkways and shops. Staff at the hotel went very attentive and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean

a complete disappointment due, in our opinion, to the lack of principles and professionalism of the hotel in relation to a problem that I will now explain: the hotel has an agreement with a car park guaranteeing a value of 15 euros, giving us a discount coupon upon check-out from the hotel. when we arrived at the park and placing the car receipt and then the discount amount it was 20.50 euros , as we already had the ATM card inserted the payment was made, and then we went to the park cashier who gave us clearly said that it had to be the hotel to resolve. we went back to the hotel where we were told that the park would have to sort it out. the issue is that we are guests of the hotel and not the park. the park is a supplier to the hotel, so the hotel would have to resolve the matter. we were on vacation and we certainly weren't going to spend the day between the park and the hotel. An email was sent to the hotel which unbelievably told us that we would have to go to the park to resolve the matter (we are hotel customers and we were already in Portugal when we received the email almost 24 hours after the email we sent). In our opinion this is a notorious lack of professionalism discarding any responsibility, not solving the problem and sending us back to the park where we had already spoken. Undoubtedly, all the positive points of the staff were annulled by this event. We will never go back for sure. We will already resort to hotel regulatory and supervisory offices. at this point it is no longer a question of money at all, but of principle.

Central Gijon is good for shopping and leisurely walks along the promenade.

good central location. car park 5 minutes walk with a concession ticket from the hotel to cap the charges at €15 per day. the rooms are spacious and older Spanish style mahogany furniture. bathroom is very good. modern and spacious. bed is comfortable.

Breakfast is still expensive at €12 per person per day. Easier to eat outside at the many cafes.

Fantastic Hotel and location!

The location was perfect. Seemed like a 10 minute walk to everywhere. Great restaurants, walk to the ocean and the port! The staff was fantastic and very helpful. The room was amazing! It was huge! Great, comfortable bed, fabulous, large bathroom area, lots of storage, even a small room when you walk into the room with a closet for coats. Felt like we could move in! The breakfast was one of the best! Beautiful dining room! We highly recommend the Hotel Hernan Cortes to all!

Superb

I really loved the old classic style with it's up to date touch. The reception was just gorgeous. The room was spacious and very silent, the bed comfortable, cupboards enough. Bathroom super with ample space and good mirrors, suitable for shaving etc.

If anything, the breakfast. To me a hotel breskfast is not complete without good cereals such ad müesli. Otherwise ok.

Great location, very close to everything you need. Restaurants are a few meters away, 10 minutes walk, and you are at the beach ⛱️. Shops also a few meters away. Staff were very helpful and cooperative. There is nothing to complain tbh.

Perfect

We had booked a room for 3 and it had a small annex room with a 1/2 bathroom attached. Huge spacious room with excellent beds and pillows. Fridge and room safe. Our room was on the 6 th floor. ( poor view but that didn’t matter to us)

A small thing . But complimentary water would have been nice on the first night
