We loved the location... It was in the center and has a very good postion. We liked the fact that the room also has a beautiful view of the city. The room was clean with the things we needed for our trip. We also had coffee and tea in our room which was nice.
The stairs but I guess it is okay considering that we had a quiet room and a view of the center from the window.

Location, friendly and helpful staff.
We had a charming room with exposed beams under the rooftop with magnificent view on the Hof, church and musical clock. There is no elevator (which was not a problem for us) but the staff helped carrying our suitcases.
The noise from the restaurants and bar outside. We anticipated the noise since we new the location and the hotel also provided earplugs 😆.
The height of the bathroom ceiling might be a problem for tall people (which was not our case less than 175cm).

Very good value for money if you are looking for a short stay. Right in the centre of the city with nice views to the main square.
Staff was super kind as well.

Great welcome when we arrived and the guy was so helpful with directions to food festival and bike parking

Excellent location in the heart of the old town surrounded by bars and restaurants. Simple accommodation which proved to be excellent value for money compared with typical hotels in The Netherlands. Would definitely stay again.
What didn’t bother my wife and I but might others is the background noise from the nearby bars etc which lasted fairly late. Earplugs provided by the hotel solved the problem for us .

I had whole a terrace outside my room. Make sure you book the triple room. It's spacious. I loved the location.
Parking is a little walk away. Not miles, but would be a challenge with a lot of luggage.
The air con unit was right above the bed, and the condensation dripped on the ledge above my head, so I had like a small spray of water to the face every 30 seconds. I actually quite liked it, but I have put it in the "didn't like" section as that's where people mostly pay attention. So in case you don't like a spray of water to the face while you sleep, you can get the heads up.
Breakfast had very little choice, but maybe I'm spoilt.

Great location in the heart of the city with nice little Cafe right by the marked. We had room 10 right on top under the roof. You need to climb quite some steps up. Definitely to keep in mind when you travel with big luggage.
The hotel age a bit but it got its charme.

Never had a problem with the noise from the square, (and I was there during King's birthday!). The windows were surprisingly sound proof and I never needed to use the ear plugs.
No separate shower cubicle = wet bathroom floor. No more bathroom mat after 1st night. Fridge did not work and spoiled my fruit.

Very good location in the very heart of the city, not so far from central station. The staff were very polite and helpful.
The room was clean and had everything needed.
The noise (church bells, people having parties in the restaurants nearby). But the earplugs provided could help with that.

A medieval building with modernized bathrooms right on central square of historic district. We chose it for that reason and it was great decision for our purposes. near good restaurants and bars. breakfast in the hotel’s lovely cafe was fresh and ample. Coffee was very good. we were there for two week nights in winter so we enjoyed quiet at night. I think the summer activity in the square could be both fun / and maybe too lively! FYI no lift in hotel. staff is excellent.

Has all basic things you need in a hotel. Staff was very friendly.
Was a bit outdated and there is a lot of noise from the street (even on weekdays). Luckily they gave earplugs for free, which helped with canceling out the noise

What a tasteful renovation of an old historic space. Well equipped, tastefully decorated, historic building on a historic plain, and a pleasure to stay at! Bravo - well-done team De Gaaper!
Nothing - a perfect stay, with perfect hosts, in a perfect room. We stayed there on a Monday when most restaurants are closed, I can imagine that for the rest of the week when all the restaurants are cooking, it may be a bit noisy for some :)
