Toallas rotas con agujeros y sucias
Limpieza no había

It was in a really convenient location for starting my hike on the Camino Inglés.
Nothing.

great price and in a brilliant location for starting the Camino. supermarket, bus station, bars etc all on the door step
couldn’t check in until 16:00 and nowhere to store luggage, couldn’t enter the building and they didn’t answer the number given

Simple, clean accommodations. Nice staff. Good value for a pilgrim. I would happily stay here again.
It’s about a 20 minute walk to the official start of the Camino, which adds about 40 minutes of walking into your first day. Breakfast listed as included, but I couldn’t find it. C’est la vie!

The profile says they have a 24/7 reception. Unfortunately, this is not true. I couldn't check in at 1am when I arrived in Ferrol. The staff wrote me this right after I made the reservation, and still they were not willing to cancel the room for free - I got no refund despite their wrong profile text and despite me asking for a cancellation right after the booking. Not customer-friendly at all. Also, I wrote them in English and they only replied in Spanish, which I consider a bit rude.
I cannot say anything about the quality of the accommodation itself, since I wasn't there.

well positioned near town centre and food and bars
The bar downstairs was very busy with a good vibe but open late. This may have been due to a soccer celebration

one of our party reported a mouldy room, the other three rooms were pleasant and freshly decorated

Price and location were great for what I required. Check in was prompt when contacted. Room small, but clean. Bed small, but clean and comfy.
Shower screen broken & loose, but otherwise bathroom clean.

convenient location
2.0
The location and the price. I also appreciated the toothbrush and toothpaste, and I remember something being compostable.
The walls were mouldy; the shower doors didn't close properly, so there was a lot of water on the floor after my shower. The walls were very, very thin, so anytime anyone walked down the hall it was really loud. There is also a bar/café attached to the hostel, and on a Saturday night in Spain I have no idea when the very loud music finally stopped. I did not get much sleep at all.

Nice people running this accommodation as a side job.
Expect delays in the communication (or not answers at all to your messages). Check in might take an hour until they get all sorted.

As a backpacker, this is everything you want and need. Cheap, well located, simple and basic. Possibly in summer it would be hot, but in fall/winter, jeez, hard to think of a better option. I wish places like this were everywhere.
All good. It's simple and basic, that's it.
