Very good location, just in the pedestrian old center area.
Place for bikes in an interior courtyard.

The location is great as in the old part of the town with Antonio and his mother being really friendly and fantastic hosts. Breakfast was simple but tasty with warm croissants each morning

Very friendly and lovely people. It has a great location in the old part of town. I was very lucky to have the room with the terrace . Would recommend.

The view from the top terrace was great. You could sit with your coffee or glass of wine and enjoy the city from the top.
Bed was very big and comfortable, the room and bathroom spacetious.
The breakfast was also OK - warm croissants, bread, cheese, jam and juice.
A lot of narrow stairs to the top
The hosts live there also

Location was ok, at end of the old town. Breakfast was ok but coffee was milky and reheated in a microwave. Price was good so cannot really complain about this.
We found several insects crawling around the bed, very disconcerting. Some kind of mosquito repellant would have been useful and helpful..

Wonderfull room and hosts

One of the best accommodations we've been to. Great location - close to the center, port, bus stop and pubs. The entire facility is clean and large. The room has air conditioning, a table, a chair, a wardrobe and beds. The bathroom is very large and, above all, clean. A great surprise was the roof terrace of the building overlooking the city and the sea, which we could use at any time.
The biggest advantage and at the same time the biggest surprise was the owner of the facility - he is open, patient, understanding, he answered every question and made this trip even better.

The house belongs to a mother and son and they are extremely friendly and welcoming. When we arrived it was very hot and they gave us cold water bottles as a welcome gift, details that matter. The conditions of the bedroom and shared bathroom are also nice and clean and the breakfast was simple but the croissants were very good.

Maria and Antonio were lovely and very helpful during our stay.
The included breakfast, (with perfect cappuccino, juice, croissants and jam/Nutella) was really tasty
The room, with a fridge and a comfy and large bed was perfect, and we had the best view on Salerne (castle, mountains, sea and roofs of the city)
It was also a good place to move (3min by walk to the sea where you can by delicious Spritz for 5€, a bus station near the house to go to Amalfi and the the "Sentiero degli dei"

A large, well-equipped (gas stove, fridge-freezer, washing machine) family suite in a classic 200-year old building in the heart of the picturesque old town. Wifi signal in our room was good, but in the twin room it was weaker. The air conditioning, luckily, was excellent. Shops, restaurants and the beach all within an easy walk. Antonio (our host) spoke good English and was very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend Casa Maria as a base from which to fall in love with Salerno.
Not even a criticism, just advice. Casa Maria is located down a narrow cobbled alley (part of its charm) and you will have to find it on foot. If you put the address into Google maps it will get you to an iron gate, with the number 25 on the wall. There is no B and B sign, but if you ring Antonio, he will let you in. You do need to be able to climb the old stone steps.

Pretty much everything! I booked the family apartment (only one available) so I had a huge amount of space. everything was really clean, big bathroom, comfy beds, air conditioning that worked. Antonio who met me was lovely and breakfast is available every morning too. I would definitely book here again in future
The only downside was some noise - on some nights, you could hear rubbish collection outside and noisy neighbors (couldn’t work out if it was next door or upstairs). I know there’s no control over these and it was minor but that is it - everything else was great.

Perfect location really close to delicious pizza, the duomo, shops and everything! The room was spacious and very clean with a window in the roof to look at the stars! The terrace was just perfect, stunning views of the city and the castle! The breakfast was lovely too, our hosts very friendly and helpful, checking us in late when we got off the ferry and giving us water when we arrived, also letting us leave our luggage the next morning. There is also a fountain in the street in front which has the most refreshing water!

We felt very welcome to Casa Maria and it was sad that we only could stay one night! The location and the room was perfect and Antonio and Maria were super helpful and generous!

We got a different apartment than what we booked, but we didn’t mind at all. There was a beautiful view of the sea and the mountains, it’s very clean and has a good location. Antonio, the host was very kind and helpful.
The kitchen could be a little more equipped. we didn’t cooked much, so it was okay, but a sharper knife would’ve been useful.

We had a great stay here for 4 nights. Clean, spacious, near the city center, safe neighborhood. 10 minutes walking from Duomo via Vernieri railway station or 20 minutes from Salerno station. The hosts, Antonio and Maria, were very friendly. We had a great time talking to Antonio about the places we wanted to visit. He was of great help. If you like Italian breakfast, you will enjoy it here for sure. Location is on the 4th floor so if you are not in a good shape, you will feel it but for us was not an inconvinience.

Good size apartment. It had Netflix which was an unexpected bonus. Pleasant welcome.
Very far from the train station. Lots of steps to climb. Rather dark and with a scaffolding in the courtyard at the moment.
