Joby was great. Really efficient from start to finish. Really helpful text before we arrived recommending restaurants. Thoughtful treats throughout the stay. Good use of space. Helpful whenever we needed anything. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed.
Nothing, it was great.

Super clean, nicely decorated, really pleasant place to stay. Joby the host is warm, friendly and gives great local recommendations.

Texts from Joby in advance of our stay were really helpful. The room was lovely and had a fabulous shower. We left early in the morning on out last day and had a little bag of croissants and jam waiting for us outside our door.
The property is at the top ofa hill. I like walking and live in a hilly place so it didn't really bother me but it won't be for everyone!

Might have been the most wonderful two days I have ever had! I arrived to cold beers and bottled water in the fridge, packets of coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits. The room was the most clean and comfortable I have ever stayed in - I found it difficult to leave the bed in the morning!
Joby upgraded me to the sea view room and I was lucky enough to watch the sun rise over the sea at 6.40am from my window. On my second night, Joby asked when I would arrive back and provided me with a delicious Cornish gin & tonic with all the trimmings!
He recommended Silco for dinner, where I went on my first night and had the most incredible tamarind fish curry, whitebait and cocktails. He also recommended the Barbara Hepworth Museum, which I adored, and The Island, which had the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. I was sent off today with fresh croissants ad jam, and Joby immediately rang me to let me know I had left my flat keys there, before I got the train home - phew! Everything is within a 15 minute walk, but be prepared for hills!
All in all, I would come back here in a heartbeat (and plan to). 10/10 recommend.
That I was not able to stay for longer!

A fantastic find! We were offered a very early check in which was greatly appreciated, the room was of an extremely high standard, comfy bed, nice powerful shower, a huge choice of refreshments and beers in the fridge, even a (very fancy) G&T on our second night, and fresh croissants on the morning we left. Joby was a brilliant host, generous, kind and knowledgeable. Thank you for having us!
All perfect

The host Joby was very pleasant and helpful! I arrived with my screaming overtired toddler in tow and Joby helped with my bags and got us settled. The room was decorated lovely and had good facilties, close enough to walk into the main town.
The beers in the fridge were a lovely gesture, although I don’t drink and lovely warm croissants we’re waiting outside the door in the morning which was nice! Would definitely stay again.

Joby, was the one I connected with at this property. Weeks before my stay, he listed out a bunch of great food places I could try. I thought it was a nice touch and very thoughtful to reach out. My plane arrived late, so I ended up checking in later than expected. However he made that super easy. I even received a drink to settle in, which was delicious and very well put together. I also received complimentary croissants for breakfast, with a selection of beverages in and above the mini fridge. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it to friends and family.
Nothing. It was great!

The room was perfect for us, with a nice double bedroom and good size bunk beds! Joby was very nice and gave us awesome recommendations of the best places to visit in the area, with the addition of a delicious croissants to go on our last day and a local G&T in the evening!

Storm in a Teacup is in a convenient location being easy walking distance from St Ives town centre and beaches. Guest house owner Joby could not have been more hospitable and helpful, offering great advice on walks and places to eat. He really did go out of his way to make us feel welcome. We appreciated (and gratefully consumed) the complimentary beers we found in the fridge on our arrival as well as the delicious fresh croissants on our last morning. Our room - the family en suite - was clean, bright, warm and cosy and served our needs well.
