Beautiful rooftop view. Amazing staff from the minute our water taxi pulled up to the island. If I come back to Belize this is the only place I would ever stay. We came here and met strangers and are leaving with family. Perfect location as well. Couple minute walk to the beach front. Fruit market across the street as well as bakery and grocery all in walking distance. The golf carts they offer which you will need are perfect and was very easy to set up with them. I can’t say enough good things about the property and staff.
Lots of stairs. With arthritis makes it a tad much but every step is worth the view.

Such a friendly place. Everyone was so nice. We loved the pick up and drop off from/at the ferry and arranging a taxi in Belize City. The location is great. Lots of grocery stores and fruit stands. We rented a golf cart- so much fun! We loved the pool as well.
Since it’s located on the main road it gets a bit loud at night but it wasn’t too bad.

Bryon and Ms. Latti are absolutely amazing! Rooftop pool is also amazing!
Doesn't have toiletries items like shampoo, conditioner. However it is very much like a home vibe. Think of visiting a friend and what you may need to bring or get while visiting their home.

The staff was amazing. it’s secure and safe. They also have golf carts onsite so need to go find one. They pick you up and drop you off to the airport or water taxi.
Nothing they truly kind and nice place.

Nice to be picked up from the water taxi and delivered to Casa del Rai. We stayed in the coral suite which was roomy for 3 adults. The kitchen was well-equipped and the drinking water provided was appreciated. For 10$ we had a very muddy load of laundry washed and dried for us. There was a front balcony that overlooked the street which was good for watching the bustle below but the back patio was a lovely place for a quiet morning coffee. The rooftop pool had great views and was perfect for a refreshing dip. There are stairs so it might be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. We rented a golf cart to explore the area and to go to a beach and it was very convenient to do so directly from Casa del Rai.
We could not figure out how to use the safe. That being said, the building felt very secure and we were never concerned about it.

The condos have been upgraded and are spacious with a lovely deck upstairs to watch sunsets and just relax.
We had a difficult stay here that really impacted our vacation. It was definitely timing, but also lack of communication. We expect that if one of their main amenities is not going to be available, in this case the rooftop pool, we would have been informed of that ahead of time. Instead, we showed up and the pool wasn't working for most of our stay there. We had been looking forward to some relaxing time, and instead, there was a construction zone going on over our heads. Our second night staying there, workers were on the roof until past 2am redoing the concrete in the pool, pounding with music going, etc. I communicated with Booking to ask for a discount, since we had a full night with almost no sleep. In my opinion, the owners should have been proactive about addressing this. They seemed to play the victim, telling us "we are doing our best and other guests have been understanding." The reality is that you are advertising an amenity you didn't have without telling us about it and then having workers up there all night long to work. It took us about 4 days to recover from a lost night's sleep. On top of this, the attitude of the owners was to ignore us and be angry as if it was our fault that we complained! We didn't appreciate that and would not stay again.

Friendly staff, transfers to and from the ferry, access to restaurants.
Noisy, located in a busy area. Dogs barking at night.

We liked the in town location where we could walk to town on the beach and enjoy the restaurants. The off street secure parking for our golf cart was great. The roof top small pool, sitting areas, and wonderful sunset/sunrise views were fabulous. Randy and Aileen are awesome hosts and very accommodating. Being on the upper floors gets you a bird's eye view of the daily activities in San Pedro.
The only negative is the night time noise mostly dogs barking in the town neighborhood. This was easily overcome with earplugs and was offset by the cultural value of being in town close to fruit stands, the bakery etc.

Aileen, Byron, Ms. Letty and Karen at Casa del Rai made our trip so comfortable, relaxing and easy. Aileen was especially helpful with arranging transportation from the airport to the water taxi and to the hotel before we arrived on the Booking.com app. Since we were first timers in Belize, this gave me peace of mind and saved us from loosing our luggage when we got off the water taxi too early (at Caye Caulker). Reminder: it's a 2 hour boat ride to San Pedro, not one!
Byron and Ms. Letty treated us like family. Karen made sure we got to do the excursions we wanted to do as well as ensured our safety. We took all their suggestions to explore the town and had the best time. They offered golf carts to rent, provided first jug of water free, WiFi, pool and the hotel was especially clean with beautiful flora around the premise. I would recommend staying at Casa Del Rai, doing the deep sea water adventure with La Gaviota Sailing (Karen will set up for you), renting a golf cart, and checking out secret beach and Bamboo Fence Swing Bar. We had a party of 4, traveled on the off season (September) and everyone had the most amazing time.
Although both Belizian cash and US Dollars were accepted, it was difficult trying to get to the trusted bank ATMs to get the cash we needed. Credit cards are generally not accepted at most places in Belize because of scams, difficulty with refunding and the extra charges that businesses have to pay to use credit card transactions.
Sargassum builds up at the shores which smells of sulfur and ammonia, so the water front in the local town is not swimmable for the most part. Secret beach has waters for swimming, but it took us 45 minutes on golf cart to drive there the first time because the roads have many pot holes. Once we got used to driving the golf cart, the drive was a lot quicker. I would recommend printing a map of the local ATMs, gas stations, a couple of recommended restaurants and secret beach for guests to take a picture just as a little guidance. It was not hard for us to find our way around, but this may help others during their travel.

The property was beautiful with a great location. You definitely get your exercise walking up the stairs (4th floor for me!). The rooftop pool was amazing! The property is very secure. Traveling as a single female, I felt very safe with no issues. The room was large, comfortable and exceptional.
Nothing. The only thing I would add is a mirror in the living room area.

This place is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! We toured all over Belize and this place is the nicest condo we stayed at. It is by far the cleanest and the only place we didn't see roaches. The staff and owner went above and beyond to make this place amazing. They are so kind and made travel easy for my family. The location is great--there is a small grocery mart right across the street which made food shopping so easy and affordable for my family. We had great views from the roof and our apartment deck. Honestly, my favorite place in all of San Pedro was in the lounge chair on our porch. I did yoga in the mornings on the deck and loved the ocean breezes sweeping over me. The entire condo was so comfortable, clean, and up to date. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!!
No complaints!!

This was a perfect place for me, my husband and two kids. It was very convenient place for us because the people who work at this place went above and beyond to meet our needs by providing transportation to and from the water taxi at no additional cost and provided extra towels, sheets and pillows if they were needed for the futon bed. They even washed the bbq grill prior to using it and I felt that the cost of golf cart rental was exceptional. Not expensive. Also, can set up a tour if wanted. I just loved that all the services that I needed was all at this one place and I didn’t have to be walking around looking for these services and the grocery store, bakery and vegetable/fruit shop were very close by. This is a very clean place and the pool. My kids enjoyed the pool. It’s beautiful and comfortable. My room had an AC and the living room. The furniture and futon bed was very nice and clean. Everything was working properly. No foul smell and quiet. You can’t hear your neighbors. Has a nice patio to hang out at night and there’s a table outside your room
and up at the Pool. The Pool área has chair beds and games. The kitchen had salt and pepper, sugar and little zip lock bags. Must I not forget the complementary water and two beers. The staff had excellent customer service and were very nice. I felt really good about this place.

The size of the room, the patio (my favorite) and the view from my room and the roof!
it would be nice to have shampoo, conditioner and body wash on hand. otherwise, can’t complain!

This was the best stay during our time in Belize. The host met us at the water taxi and drove us to the place. It's basically a full apartment/1bd room. The rooftop pool is nice and we basically had our own bar area on the rooftop. The host also connected us with a local tour guide which allowed us to go sailing/snorkeling all day. Golf carts are also available on site.
Not much. I think the golf carts should be a lower price for guest, especially if you're not using them all day. The only option is to pay for 24hrs.

Very clean and the staff were terrific would help anyway. Property is walking distance from town. But I recommend renting a Golf cart from Byron he is on property.
Walls seemed alittle thin. We on the top floor under the swiming pool. You could hear the dogs barking all night long and the night time golf cart traffic seemed like it was right outside your window. Not any fault of the property.
