Had the most amazing stay at Alba. Staff were exceptional and always happy to assist with booking our spa treatments and dinner etc.
The resort was very empty when we went which probably helped with this.
Yoga class was awesome and food was reasonably priced so wasn’t a problems either eating at the resort.
Finished our stay and felt very relaxed

My partner and I chose to stay at Alba to get away and celebrate our third anniversary.
Tuyet Anh and the team were absolutely remarkable, they went well above and beyond to make sure our stay was absolutely unforgettable. I was in close communication with the team days before arrival on WhatsApp to make sure everything was arranged - which was such a personal experience, one that I've not had with a hotel or resort before. As an unexpected special treat - we were surprised with a room upgrade to bungalow & gifted an anniversary cake!
Beyond the above - we were impressed by all of the amenities, activities and facilities, along with blended Vietnamese & Japanese architecture and interior design that made the entire environment feel unique and different. An absolute highlight for us was the onsen and spa, with several different types of baths and steam rooms, the entire experience was so well considered and relaxing. Alba is a must if you are looking for a short get-away in Hue
Wouldn't change anything - it was exceptional.

We love the onsen spa and the massage. Beautiful scenery especially the lotus lake. One of the receptionist we met on the first day is very polite and professional unfortunately we can't remember her name.
The rooms we stayed (deluxe) were really run down, paint falling off the wall and one of the room was a bit smelly. The room made us feel like it was a 3 star hotel not a 5 star resort.
We left a small towel at the private pool and when checking out the receptionist asked us to go and find it even I told them exactly where it was. We paid a lot of money to stay there definitely wouldn't steal a small towel, maybe instead of making us go look for it they could just call the staff to check if it was where we said it was, very unprofessional of them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the resort. That was like a dive into countryside life without giving up on city-kind comfort. The staff was extremely hospitable, and the bungalow was great, clean, and had everything we needed (even a coffee maker, which was super helpful for bringing morning cycling into our life😆). We had many entertainment options such as a zipline, highwire, pottery class, meditation class, fantastic swimming pool, massage, hiking, and more. Thank you to all staff who helped us during all those activities!
Moreover, the place is full of breathtaking landscapes we reveled in! For sure, we will stay there again, and I do recommend doing the same for everyone looking for a place of physical and mental relaxation.
nothing really

Location is very relaxing and the outdoor hot springs are unique. SPA manger did everything to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Cycling through the property was a pleasure.
To start with one would expect much better trained staff for a 5 star property charging 5 star prices. The restaurants after 8pm are deserted and you are served while staff is preparing the facility for the breakfast or cleaning it. At one occasion one of the cooks came to have his dinner as well and and entertained us with long and very load telephone conversation on speaker phone. Certainly no one among his colleagues. felt this is unappropriated. One has the feeling to be in the nearby village joint except for the prices.
The Fusion formula includes one massage every day. Even though we booked 1 week in advance and had many emails from reservation no one bothered to tell us that it is good to book those session in advance. When we came to book a session everything for our two days turned out to be booked except the 8pm and 9pm hours. Not sure how this was possible given that there were only two bungalows with guests but I also never understood how they mange a 3 star and 5 star hotel in the same location while making sure guests at the 5 star feel it was worth spending the extra dollar. Timing your time in the onsen is very far from the experience in Japan. It is certainly better value and comfort to go to any dissent resort and book you preferred SPA treatment there.

The hot springs were lovely, and I loved the Onsen at the spa. The room was clean. The breakfast buffet had good options and the food was fresh and tasty.
The food at the restaurant was overpriced, especially for the size and quality. The beds were quite hard. We specifically requested a room with a king/double bed, and they gave us a room with two twins pushed together, even though I said I didn’t want that option.

I like the atmosphere here. Onsen, spa and outdoor hot stream are very great. I regret that I didn't spend more time to stay here.
The staff is not professional enough. They misunderstood my spa booking. Upon checkout, I had to wait for a long time for housekeeper to check my room.

Decent Onsen model copied from the Japanese style but the outdoor onsen water temp was cold.
Overall i booked a bungalow room with natural surroundings
Very frienly staffs
Hotel provides bikes for cycling around the resort in every bungalow but somehow it was taken away in the next morning. I guess other guests snatched away so hotel should have provided enough bikes to avoid this kind of situation.
Breakfast was very crowded with a big group of team building guests merged from the 3 star hotel. They were noisy with poor public etiquette. The hotel should have arranged a private breakfast area for them instead of letting the 3 star guests joining with the 5 star one.
Breakfast menu was limited and a few dishes were finished and not refilled eventhough it was just 8:30am - 9:00am
Spa package is included in the room rate, each guest is entitled for 2 spa sessions of 50 min each. however if you merge 2 sessions at once, they only give you 80mins with ridiculous explaination that they need to to prepare for the session.??!!! They can prepare anything they want before the session begin isnt it?!
The massage technique is nothing special so dont expect a total relaxing treament there. Also I had to lay my face on a very stink cushion that i could not breathe at all and they could not change that cushion. so i asked the staff to spread eucalyptus oil in it to kill the smell. Jeezzz!! Hygiene of the treatment mattress is an important issue!

The resort is far away from the city centre so we really have a chance to disconnect from city life and reconnect with the nature. The hotspring, onsen and spa are amazing. My friend said he changed his opinion about massage after this trip. He loves it now. When there was a problem with the transportation to the airport, Alba went the extra miles to arrange us a private car. We are very thankful for their flexibility!
There was misinformation from the staff, twice! We had to cancel our sightseeing plan because they insisted us in arriving early to enjoy the zipline. But when we arrived, the zipline was under maintenance. And then there was misinformation about the shuttle bus schedule to go to the airport as well. However, they supported us to get a private car in the end.

This is an outstanding resort with impeccable service in beautiful surroundings!
We were pampered throughout our stay and especially by Ngoc & Duyên who were ready to help us with everything! The spa is excellent and some of the activities such as zip lining & use of bikes were free! The accommodation is amazing with a bamboo swing in the room!
The gardens are stunning and a hotel that we would definitely come back to!
Everything was excellent
