Stayed here with family, grandparents, aunties and uncles and cousins over winter holidays. The mansion was just like its pictures on Vrbo, very clean. We enjoyed a comfortable stay with lots of convos in comfy living room and enjoyed many meals with many relatives at the long dining table. Kids enjoyed a muddy romp and exploration on the farm fields on the property
Property mgrs were very available and helpful, when I had a few ?s
Recommend if you’re traveling with a crowd!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the gorgeous house and impeccably groomed gardens. It was such a lovely way to relax and unwind. We had a chance to meet the owners: Mike and Virginia and they are lovely hosts.

Nice old home, beds good, was perfect for the family get together.
With an old home like this, it requires a lot of maintenance, the only reason for not giving 5 was related to the upkeep, primarily doors and locks. - bathroom doors would not stay shut/lock and the front door handle/lock was in terrible shape. Woke up to front door open one morning. The back door did not lock.
The shower handle on the shared shower came off on the first turn, but I fixed it with a screwdriver. The sink nobs were loose in one bathroom. But I hand tightens them.
All minor issues with a little elbow grease easily fixed.
Otherwise, great property, and space for what our group of 8 needed.

What a gorgeous property and house! We had such a fun time and had plenty of room for everyone visiting from different states. The kids and teens enjoyed talking walks around the property and hanging out by the lake. Thank you Virginia and Mike for your hospitality and for making our stay so memorable and special!

Sanders mansion near Seattle WA
Three night stay with eight family then another 14 people over for a family dinner/reunion. Accommodation was excellent and as advertised. Everything you need to host a large group for dinner is available so no need to bring anything but the food and drinks. Wonderful convenient location minutes from grocery stores and a variety of restaurants. Plenty of on site parking beautiful grounds for a stroll or miles of hiking trials within a mile of the place. Only 30 to 40 minutes from downtown Seattle or Tacoma. Overall great choice for a gEt together with friends or family.

Held a family reunion here in Oct 2019 and it was magical. We had 9 guests and 3 dogs. It was the perfect venue for us. The rooms were lovely. The dining area was more than ample. We had lots of activities in the house. We carved pumpkins. We cooked meals. We ate together in the lovely dining room. We watched movies. But mostly we just enjoyed each other’s company, chatting-it-up until the wee hours of the morning.
Mike and Virginia were wonderful. They were very attentive from the get-go and more than willing to assist us with whatever we needed. Their cheerful disposition made everyone feel right at home. They are very lovely people, very kind.
My mother (grandma) said that she hadn’t such a good time in many years. I think everyone will cherish the memories made in this lovely home (more like a mansion).
I brought an Intel NUC and hooked it up to the TV and we had a blast playing Jackbox games. The house already had an Xfinity box. My (strong) suggestion to Mike & Virginia: Buy all 6 Jackbox Party Pack games (along with Drawful 2) via the Xfinity cable box and promote it to your guests! I promise it will be a huge hit! (The kids loved it and grandma was laughing so hard that she cried.)
Steve’s favorite Jackbox games for a family reunion (ranked from worst to best):
7) You Don't Know Jack: Full Stream (Party Pack 5) 1-8 players
6) Tee K. O. (Party Pack 3) [3-8 players] Best played with 5 players
5) Push the Button (Party Pack 6) [4-10 players] – Note: This game is very different from the others listed here. It’s a bit like “Mafia-in-Space”: Players need to deceive each other. This game is very different from the others listed here.]
4) Patently Stupid (Party Pack 5) [3-8 players]
3) Fibbage 3 (Party Pack 4) [2-8 players]
2) Quiplash 2 (Party Pack 3) [3-8 players]
1) Drawful 2 (Standalone game) [3-8 players]
Thanks so much to Mike & Virginia for making our trip one that we’ll carry with us for a lifetime!

If I’m paying that amount per night I would like to know that somebody will be staying directly under me. and that I can’t actually use the 37 acres. I feel like It was false advertisement

Family Christmas Stay
Had some concerns about the property based on a previous review, but those concerns evaporated when I opened the door. The owners had decorated for Christmas, the house was warm and inviting, with tons of space. The house easily handled our family of 14. Bedrooms are large and nicely decorated with period pieces. Only drawback to the house is that some of the bathrooms need to be updated and/or repaired (which I understand the owners are addressing), otherwise I would have rated 5 stars. The large supply of firewood was great; fire every night of our stay. The outside grounds are truly awesome and well kept. On site caretaker was unobtrusive, which we appreciated, as we wanted our privacy. All in all a great house, which made for a very special Christmas. Highly recommend.
Also, a shout out to Evolve Vacation Rentals for their prompt response to my concerns/questions.

Great Property for family reunion
Very much enjoyed this property. eight of us stayed and we had 10 others over for dinner. The room were well appointed clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as a TRAGER smoker and barbeque to use if needed. The grounds were wonderful with lots of area to explore as well as a private lake with swans and a small to use if requested. Property is 10 min from many restaurant's in the Kent WA area and about 45 min from downtown Seattle.

Beautiful grounds!
My husband and I rented this estate for a week as a gathering place for all my family members from out of state to attend my brother’s wedding. The location, the grounds and the property are great and beautiful. The owners and staff were very nice and accommodating.
The overall stay was great but here are some of the pros, cons and things to be aware of:
Pros:
Beautiful grounds
Plenty of space to spread out
Row boat and fishing at the lake
Pet allowance (extra fee)
Plenty of outdoor tables and chairs for large gatherings
Plenty of dishware, glassware and silverware
Plenty of guest parking
Cons:
Beware that this property is a commercial/business venue with the owners/property managers living onsite in the basement. This information was not disclosed to us until at check-in time.
If you are planning on having any events and gatherings over 30 people (kids of all ages (babies, infants) are counted), no matter if it is just a causal family dinner/potluck gathering; be prepared to pay additional fees for a required event coordinator and a bartender, if you serve alcohol at your event. This fee is rather steep considering the high price we already paid for the rental.
The interior of the house could use a better cleaning. There were cobwebs, dirt, dust bunnies in various areas, inside the closets and dresser drawers.
The kitchen is small and it was smelly because there was days-old garbage that was not taken out prior to our arrival.
The home is supplied with well water and water has a strong sulfur/rotten eggs smell. The stink from the shower stall in the master bathroom will knock you over every time you open the shower door.
The bathroom count was not accurate because one of the bathrooms has a shared shower/tub. So it is not a true full bath. The faucet in the shower does not work properly, so some of the guests have to shower in the other bathrooms. We were informed not to use the tub in the second bathroom because it doesn’t work. The pedestal sink in this bathroom is stained with rust and a constant dripping from the faucet.
The literature states that we would have four parking spaces close to the house but we only have three because one of the spaces is the owner’s but there is no signage indicating “Reserved” so we constantly having to tell our people to move their car from that space. Again, we did not know that we were going to share the property and space with the owners.

We absolutely fell in love with this place!
My wife and I rented this Sanders Estate for our wedding weekend for the space and the house. It was absolutely perfect! The grounds are gorgeous, as well as the house. I couldn’t count how many times every one from our wedding party wanted to buy this house. Mike, the owner, was on the grounds and checking in on us throughout the stay just to make sure we were comfortable, as well as the property manager Tara. I HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway for family and friends.

My stay was great!
We used this house for our wedding weekend for our people to stay at. House was lovely, owners were great and went out of their way for us. Thanks, Mike & Virginia.
Nice touches, a great room for makeup to be done and plenty of spots for people to make a little sleeping spot.
Notes: There isn't a good coffee pot. I would suggest getting a nice big one so people can bring coffee as opposed to pods. The owners were so sweet and brought us some, but we would have liked to use the coffee we got.
Blue Ribbon has some crazy rules.... but all in all, I was happy with the level of service and stay.

Stunning
The Venue was perfect for my Grandmothers 84th Birthday! She enjoyed her stay and that’s all that matters and count! Above all, the place was stunning, starting from entrance point. The garden was beautiful with a swan that caught the attention on the private lake! Amazing! Virginia was great as well the husband who was always there in case of emergency! I will definitely return same date next year and planning on to this annually!
Thank you!

OUTSTANDING!!
We were so impressed with the house, the grounds and the service. We brought up about 22 high school football players and owner/management bent over backwards to accommodate us. We can't say enough great stuff about this place and we will be back again!

Fabulous!!!
Our family, 3 couples and one single, stayed at this paradise property from July 9, 2016 to July 16, 2016 for our annual family vacation . We experienced the best time of our lives both on the property and out and about Seattle. The house is very clean and spacious with four large bedrooms, a large dinning room and table that seated all 7 of us. We also took full advantage of kicking back and relaxing in the Seattle sun on the incredibly large deck. The outdoors are breath taking with manicured grounds. It is surrounded by breath-taking flower gardens and a pond with a swan name Curtis. The management and owners were just awesome! The property owner (Mike) took the time to surprise us with a home made Blackberry pie of which he personally pick the berries and baked the pie and provided a gallon of vanilla ice cream, my favorite, to go along with it. The property manager gave us a warm welcome with a great smile and tasty snacks upon our arrival. They all went our of their way to make us feel welcome and like family. We are planning to visit there again next year. We just want to say “Thank You!!!” to the management and property owner for making our stay relaxing and fabulous. Again, Thank You for your outstanding customer service.

Fabulous holiday at Sanders Estate
This historic residence was decorated and outfitted for family and friends to enjoy time together. We entertained friends, enjoyed the fireplace and explored all the great things there are to do in the city.
The house was spotless and the grounds are gorgeous and completely private. You feel like you are on a retreat yet only a half hour from downtown Seattle and ten minutes to movie theaters, restaurants and many amenities. There is so much space and the bedrooms all have bathrooms as well as a lovely guest bathroom. The location to the airport is great with skiing only an hour away and Mount Rainier there to see and a quick drive away for a visit. This is a home for a few couples or a great place for family and friends to stay and enjoy. We highly recommend enjoying this place for your next vacation.
