The house is clean, well-equipped, spacious, and in a quiet neighborhood. It is close to the beach and attractions, with a great dining area. The view is nice with plenty of room for family meals.

The house is very spacious, clean, light and well appointed.
It is in a quiet cul-de-sac with a view of the bay from the balcony, where we loved watching sunsets.
It is just 5 minutes from our favorite beach, Salty Brine in Galilee, with soft sand, quiet and crystal clear water, and yummy lobster rolls! We also took the ferry to Block Island, as well as a fishing trip, from there.
We loved walking the scenic coastline by Black Point, also 5 minutes from the house, as well as the Narragansett Sea Wall.
Further afield, we enjoyed Ninigret Park, Newport mansions and New Bedford.

We had family coming from Texas, my two brothers, and wanted an opportunity to meet in RI where we grew up. A wonderful house, owners and area! Our nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and great nieces were able to come at different times and enjoy a peaceful, loving time together! Definitely would rent from Alan and his wife again!

Plus side -The house was clean (I did wash all the mattress pads as they didn't look clean) and kitchen was well equiped. House was in a quiet neighborhood and within 5 -10 minutes driving to Scarborough Beach and Stop & Shop.
My only complaint was that decor was quite lacking! The 4 bedrooms down stairs and nothing besides a bed and dresser - no bedside tables or lamps, only an overhead ceiling light. One lamp in the living room! I bought a new tablecloth for the dining table down the street at Homegoods as the one on it was sticky and had holes. Another plus was the big dining room table that sat ten - great for dinners and playing cards.

Our family absolutely loved staying here. Everything was clean and just as advertised on the VRBO site. Beautiful view of the pond and lots of room for our family of 5. The property owners were wonderful hosts! Our family felt like this was our home away from home. It was short distance to the beach and convenient location to anywhere we wanted to go. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony too :) Thank you for allowing us to stay at this property.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! Alan was a terrific host and very easy to contact when needed. The place was spotless and in great location to the beaches, Newport, and Cape Cod. The rooms were spacious and clean and Ed had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

The checkin went very smoothly. Property was ready upon our arrival. Great neighborhood; quiet and very nicely kept. Short distance to beaches and right off main drive. Plenty of room for parking multiple cars. Bedrooms are located on first level with open concept of kitchen/living room on 2nd level. Appliances are updated. Bedrooms all have good closet space; my suggestion would be to add night stand in all bedrooms and hangers available. For guests traveling from out of area would not be traveling with hangers. Overall, we had a very enjoyable vacation with family.

Perfectly located. Very spacious. Peaceful neighborhood - but near everything. Alan was wonderful and very accommodating. Will certainly come again when we need our next Rhode Island beach therapy. Thanks!

We were optimistic about this house given the few other positive reviews and central location. On arrival we were disappointed to find that the property had not been cleaned sufficiently, with dirty floors, hair in the bathtub etc. The interior desperately needs a coat of paint - the walls are badly discolored, dinged / scuffed, and decorated only with the nails of pictures that once hung there. Our overall impression was the same as arriving at a cheap motel: well-suited to college kids but not a family enjoying their precious few vacation days.
In the end we spent about 2 hours sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the house. After politely informing the owner of this, we were dismayed to receive a non-apology that suggested we were either incorrect about the house's condition or complaining too much. This was an additional disappointment, given that we provided photographic evidence of the piles of dirt and are experienced VRBO-ers who have never provided anything but 5-star reviews in the past. In the end the owners opted not to charge us for linens (which are $12.50/bed for sheets, and $5/towel), which seemed like a minor concession given that the vast majority of properties don't charge for these items in the first place.
Positives: Plenty of room for a large family, safe for small children, nice quiet lane, great balcony with a partial view of the water. Just a 5-10 minute drive from all the great beaches, restaurants, shopping etc.

We really had a great week, plenty of room for everyone. Closer to the beach than we expected and close to very popular restaurants. It was a hot week and the only criticism would be to have central air in throughout the whole house,. We’ll be back!
