The lake has both Brown and Rainbow Trout and offers the angler many types of fishing from bait, fly, spinning and trolling in the many bays and arms, as well as fly fishing in the rivers of the Snowy Mountains.

Mount Selwyn ticket prices are very reasonable when compared to the other ski fields, which makes it ideal for the family's first trip to the snow. The hire of skis and snowboards can be done in Adaminaby or at Mount Selwyn.

Great property, we had an issue with the septic for the master bathroom, but apart from that our stay was enjoyable. Property is exactly as described, good wood supply, great location.

From the moment we arrived at the lodge, we loved it. We went as a group of three families and our kids were in absolute heaven playing for hours in the loft, went we weren't skiing on the slopes at Selwyn or bushwalking to the thermal pool!
It was an outstanding holiday in every way. Cosy, fun, beautifully designed and laid out. Even the stack of firewood was beautiful.
Thank you Dan for having us and making us feel so welcome, we loved everything about the Fishing Lodge! From the cosy fireplaces to the bunnies jumping around on the grass outside... so much for our families to love.
All the best, Clare and families

What a beautiful property the easy checkin was outstanding as we travelled quite a distance. Great selection of movies to watch as we had a couple of days bad weather that can’t be helped will definitely be staying here again in future trips thanks so much for a great stay

We stayed here for a ski trip to selwyn snowfields with another family. The house is in an amazing spot overlooking lake up on the hill. Plenty of animals strolling through the yard too which the kids loved. Facilities perfect, nicely done. A great wood cabin feel with 2 fireplaces. Cooking facilities great too with extremely large dining table. We loved this place and will definitely be back. Thanks all for your help. Amazing.

The location of the property was handy for us to have an ice bath in lake Eucumbene. The wood fire pizza oven brought lotsa love and laughter out the back. Really appreciated comfortable warm bedding after our big drive. We enjoyed the large space in the kitchen taking turns to cook every night. Didn’t catch a trout but had a go. Great drive to snow. Can’t wait to book with Dan again

From the moment that the host Dan made contact it was seamless and easy.
The house was comfortable and warm and an excellent location for skiing at Selwyn Snow Resort.
The house was spotlessly clean and tidy and my little grandkids loved the loft bedroom.
Would highly recommend this host and property.

Amazing home, we were a group of 10 and accommodated all of us. Fireplaces were awesome, pizza oven was amazing. 45 to 60 mins to Selwyn Snow Resort. The house only has two bathrooms so a little hectic with 10 people, 1 king bed and 8 single beds, large kitchen with enough crockery for everyone. 12 seater table for meals. BBQ, Webber and also a smoker are available to use. Short walk to the lake with spectacular views.

This place is simply exceptional and easily the best accommodation that we have stayed in at Lake Euconbene which is an annual pilgrimage for our family. The house had everything that we needed, it was warm and cozy and the host was outstanding. Friendly, courteous and very accommodating.
The best fishing and family trip that we have had for many years.
