Our stay in Fontenoy Cottage was perfect. The fire place is amazing and keeps the whole cottage snug and warm. The new bathroom and kitchen both have everything you need for your stay. My teens loved the property (and Rippa, Daisy and Grouser - the farm dogs) so much they made me promise to return. We could have easily stayed longer and loved coming back each day after skiing.

We found the cottage and hosts to be lovely. The quiet, scenery and stars were spectacular. Only disappointment was the forecasted snow was barely a flurry. Great cottage for a snuggle by the fire 👍

This property ticked all the boxes for our trip away.
Located in the heart of the Snowies, it provided the perfect base for our winter holiday.
The accommodation was clean and modern, with a full size kitchen and an amazing modern bathroom. The beds were super comfy and the fireplace kept us toasty at all times.
The hosts were very accommodating and allowed us to walk/drive their property to view the spectacular Murrumbidgee River and the abundant wildlife.
Our son loved running around with the farm dogs Tuke and Ripper, and also enjoyed feeding the chickens.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommended staying.

A beautifully presented cottage. Ineke has thought about all the needs a family might have. It was a pleasure to stay here and just chill with the kids. The farm has a genuinely welcoming feel which started when we arrived to a lit fire. The dogs are friendly and very well behaved. Would love to go back in the summer.

Stayed with friends and had a lovely relax. Loved the fishing spot by the river. Host was quick to respond to any communications. Only comment for improvement to have doors on all bedrooms- the one closest to the front door had no door which limited privacy.

Amazing mini-break from the city!
From the moment we got there, the atmosphere was peaceful and the landscape beautiful. The cottage was so well appointed, clean and freshly renovated kitchen and bathroom and the pot belly fire kept us all so warm. We just loved chopping our own wood and collecting the fresh eggs! We will definitely be coming back!

Back Again
This was our second time staying at Fontenoy and it was as wonderful as the first time.
Plenty of space to explore and relax away from the hustle and bustle. It was a perfect week to spend time as a family and recharge.
This is now a repeat holiday that our family will look forward to, we can't wait to be back.

Very relaxing Easter weekend
Lovely property, clean and tastefully decorated accommodation with thoughtful details. Everything you could need in a full kitchen. My boys (6 & 9) had an absolute ball being shown the horses, and how to feed the cows and load firewood by your children. The Adaminaby Easter fair was an unexpected highlight and the property was an easy day trip to the Snowy Mountains for walks and views.

Perfect Farm Cottage
I honestly cannot recommend this beautiful place enough. My family had the most wonderful time staying here over Christmas & New Year. We were made to feel so welcome & at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage is just so fabulous and cosy, and had absolutely everything we needed. The location is just stunning! We enjoyed being there so much that we often just spent our days down by the river fishing and having picnics. My boys loved catching rainbow trout, we had them a few nights for dinner. We also took our Border Collie who absolutely loved meeting the farm dogs and the horses….. I can’t wait to go back there again one day, this really is a very special place.

Our new favourite place.
This getaway was everything we hoped of, and more. The property was Heaven for 3 busy kids, a beloved family dog, and 2 parents who were in need of some downtime with their family and wanted a little adventure.
The wonderful host, the wide open spaces to run in, the paddocks to explore freely, the cosy fireplace, the uninterrupted view of the night sky, the peace and quiet, and the amazing firsts like seeing wild platypuses playing in the river... all these things and more are the reason we can't wait to go back.
