Déplorable de bout en bout …

Famille avec enfants, nous sommes arrivés sur les lieux alors que les précédents locataires occupaient encore l’appartement avec musique à fond et odeur de cigarette ++…. Il était 14:30. Check in réel pour déposer les bagages aux alentours de 15h (correspondant au Check in donné en MP) État peu soigné global de cet appartement (pas seulement dû aux locataires tardifs, c’est évident) : - sol et table qui collent, - miettes sur les canapés , - cendres de mégots dans la chambre et dans l’évier de la cuisine, - Poignées des portes cassés ou défectueuses, - Poignée chasse d’eau absente, - Aliments périssables dans le frigo, - Éponges nettoyantes noires, - Et cette odeur de cigarette… - Oreiller troué sur 5 cm qui perd sa mousse dans le lit, - Télécommande cassée (cf annonce) - Plaque à induction et haut des toilettes cassés, etc… Série de photos envoyées à la personne contact : pas de réponse. Ménage du matin passé uniquement pour faire les lits, nous supposons. Nous avons alors naturellement demandé le remboursement de la nuit d’étape. La personne contact a préféré annuler la transaction sur Booking.com afin que ce commentaire négatif ne voit pas le jour… Me retrouver contrainte de rappeler le service client Booking.com pour maintenir le droit d’évaluer ! Des pratiques qui ne devraient pas être et une mauvaise foi hors pair. Que vaut vraiment votre note globale ? … Jamais je n’ai mis de commentaires négatifs sur des sites d’hébergement. Mais là… À fuir !

Mignon mais literie pas assez confortable

L'emplacement en plein centre ville, la décoration avec les poutres apparentes. la surface de l'habitation, agréable. La machine à café avec les capsules.

La literie est peu confortable, le matelas est peu épais et ne tient pas le dos. Le lit n'était pas vraiment fait : il a fallu remonter les draps au pieds du lit vers les coussins, et mettre la couverture qui était entreposée sur l'étagère. La douche est peu aisée à utiliser, la température de l'eau est soit trop froide, soit trop chaude.

Reality doesn't meet expectation.

It was a large space. It had a decent kitchen. The location was pretty central and gave good access to the local shops and amenities.

It was really hard to get the car to the parking, even with the host/owners instructions, due to the many vehicle free roads. The access road is very, very tight. We have a medium-sized car, and it was a challenge. The parking space was fine once through, though. The entrance to the flat is dingy and a little off-putting. Once in the flat, it's clear a very good photographer was used. It's a good size but everything seems a bit basic, old or tired, for example, there were three different chairs at the dining table. I appreciate it's an old building, but I felt a little bit uncomfortable with it given some of the wiring and electrics then found the front door to the road had been locked so only a key would open it. The beds and furniture were pretty cheap, albeit not uncomfortable. The advertised WiFi didn't exist. We've toured Europe for eight nights and unfortunately this apartment didn't meet the standards of the other places we stayed.

Location, location, location

Amazing spot in a special historical building. We stopped by in Bourges on our way back from our vacation. Thanks to the location of this property we were able to experience the city in such a short time. The communication with the host was also impeccable. With a website containing all the info about the property and and fast responses from the host we were never left in the dark. The flat was clean and comfortable too for our group. Definitely recommend!

the stairs, difficulty getting into car park/ clicker not working properly Wi-Fi not working took an age to get correct username and password shower worked for 1 person out of party of four arrived to find wet towels x 12 drying in the wardrobe - not good if you were sleeping in there

Code was was wrong website. There were 3 lock boxes, so I tried them all several times before calling to find out the the code was wrong. The clicker to open the car park was broken. We had to wait for someone else to enter the car park to get in. Result, we got in late and all restaurants were closed. 😔

Everything went smooth with the dialog with the host - we did not see the host but got in by a door code, everything very well explained, also with the parking, and fast respond by mail/sms by the host.

Conveniently located apartment but cleanliness is an issue

The apartment is conveniently located, well-equipped (washing machine, microwave, oven, coffee machine, toaster) and nicely-decorated. The host provides books, comics and dvds. The host reacted promptly when contacted.

We found the apartment pretty dirty: a thick layer of dust on the shelves in the kitchen and living room, spider webs on the ceiling, drawers with the cutlery and cupboards in the kitchen were dirty from inside, shower cabin is covered with the old traces of soap, carpets and floors were not well-cleaned. If cleanliness is important for you, I wouldn’t recommend this apartment. We found it really funny that the owners are asking to remove the bed linen and to empty the trash bins before departure, considering that they do not even bother to clean the apartment properly. We were renting many other apartments when traveling, but we were never asked to do so, as putting the trash away and removing the bed linen is part of the cleaning supposed to be done by the owners. The radiator of the room on the side of the rue Mirebeau did not work, that made the room very cold at night.

Lovely apartment, great location, shame about the noisy neighbours who spoilt our stay

Lovely apartment in the middle of Bourges, great location. The interior is great and really comfortable for a family of 5.

We were woken by knocks on the door at 1am as the neighbours upstairs came home. They then decided to have a really loud party upstairs with extremely loud house music until beyond 3am. What a shame.
