Daffodils Spice Court proved to be a convenient choice, thanks to its central location in Jew Town, Kerala. It allowed us easy access to the areas we wanted to explore, making our stay more enjoyable. The rooms, while not extravagant, provided a comfortable and cozy environment that felt like a temporary home for us. The friendly and helpful staff added to the positive experience, offering assistance and guidance to navigate the nearby tourist sites. Their support made our visit smoother and more enjoyable.
Despite the positive aspects of our stay, there was one disappointing aspect at Daffodils Spice Court. We had booked a room with a balcony but were let down to find that there was no furniture available to sit on. This lack of seating made it challenging for us to fully utilize and enjoy the balcony. While it's possible that the furniture was put away due to the monsoon season, it didn't appear as though any had ever been present. This limited the practicality and enjoyment of the balcony space, which was unfortunate.

Wonderful place in excellent location close to the synagogue, extremely clean and quiet, with helping and freindly staff. Rich breakfast, clean rooms. i felt very well as during my first stay in September 2022. i will visit cochin and daffodils again as soon as possible. And i mean this, not joking, i am serious.
i have no reason to complain about anything, i met friendly Canadians, having good talks. Kerala is wonderful. having fallen in love with india, i bought a lot of things, dresses, jewellry, books ...

A wonderful place with nice staff.

Everything was fantastic. From the initial greeting, to the comfort of the room, to the breakfast (choice of American or Indian), to the friendliness of the staff, to the willingness to help arrange and suggest venues in the area to the overall experience that Jew Town and Fort Kochi have to offer. This boutique hotel is exceptional on all levels.
Really nothing other than the weather was extremely hot. But, it was worth the sweat to explore the area.

Nice hotel, good location in Mattancherry. Room and bathroom very clean. Staff was extremely helpful. Late check-in was not a problem and they gave us a wake up call when we had to leave very early on the last day.

The staff here was very accommodating and nice. Alain in the reception always helpful and a source of information. Without his help our onward travels would have been a lot more expensive. He also allowed us to have breakfast at an early hour very morning. Excellent service. Another excellent thing was the location and we found Jew town nicer to come back to for shopping, eating and drinking than the more noisy and hectic Fort Kochi where there were more traffic and more tourists.
The room was very small and cramped with no space really for suitcases. No area to chill out and we were confined to relax sitting on the average size bed. We also found no other communal comfortable place to be. The shower was not enclosed and after using it water was everywhere causing a very slippery floor.

My stay here was delightful. From the moment I got there, I felt taken care of (including immediately bringing me fresh coconut to drink). Everyone was so kind and helpful, especially manager Roy Poulose, with whom I interacted the most. The room was bright and clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom spotless. The breakfast area is small but surrounded by windows so it too feels bright and airy. They offer tea, coffee, hard boiled eggs, cut fruit, toast, and the most wonderful freshly-made juice. The location is great as well—right off the main shopping street in Jew Town and just down from the synagogue there. If you’re looking for a fancy place with a ton of amenities, this isn’t the right hotel for you, but if you want a super comfortable stay in Cochin at a very reasonable price, then Daffodils Spice Court is it.

Location of this hotel is perfect. Walking distance to the synagogue and street markets.

the staff was kind and friendly
-no room cleaning
-breakfast was just bread and boiled eggs. one has to know that one has to request for a local breakfast. an option was not provided when I checked in.
- the room has lots that can be improved noisy exhaust in the bathroom to the noisy fan…stains on the mattress topper
- soundproofing, you will hear the neighborhood rooster, the cars, dogs.
- is quite far from Fort Kochi where generally everything is. Jew town shuts down at night. But that’s my bad decision.

Location is amazing - quiet, local-feeling corner, just steps away from the main shopping area of the Jew Town neighborhood. Staff are helpful and polite. Rooms are clean, with everything you need. It's a particularly nice touch to have the smart TVs so guests can log into Netflix and other apps.
Beds were not particularly comfortable, but probably the best we had while in Varkala!
Breakfast was the Kerala foreigner classic everyday - hard boiled eggs, toast, fruit - would have appreciated a little variety or choice.

Perfect location and exceptional, accommodating staff who welcomed us warmly. The hotel was spotless and had a very calm atmosphere which was welcome after a busy hot day of sightseeing. I was grateful for both the AC and the ceiling fan. Breakfast was fresh fruit, toast and eggs. The owner Roy is a kind and wonderful host. Excellent value for the price.

Found this gem for our unplanned Mattancherry trip. This location is very nearby Jew Street Mattancherry. Well maintained rooms and services. more over the best part is about the hospitality of the staffs. We will visit again 😊

The rooms were very clean. Staff, especially Mr Allan was very helpful in getting us settled and preparing breakfast. Very pleasant. The hotel curator is a historian and shared many tips about Kochi.
A fully functional 24 hours restaurant would add to the ambience

Excellent location for people looking heritage sites and experience the true cuisine and feel of Kochi. A 10-minute ferry ride takes you to the heart of the city as well. Daffodils Spice Court is clean and well-maintained, the staff is polite and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is great--filling as well as nutrition-packed.
A big cheer for the staff. They were most warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home. We travelled with our six-year-old child. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests in relation to food for the kid. They upgraded our room without being asked, and the extra space and facilities added to our comfort and provided the little one more room to move around and play. This was of great relief to us because a substantial part of the day was spent indoors due to the sweltering summer heat. Further, they provided most useful information about the locality, transport, food, and leisure options that helped us streamline our schedule and save time, money and effort.
On the second day of our stay, my wife had a splitting headache and the kid showed signs of running a fever. We had just returned in pouring rain and could not locate a medical store. One member of the staff (Allan) went out on his two-wheeler, drove in the rain, and was back with the medicines in no time.
For tourists domestic or foreign, this is the kind of care that no money can buy. Please stay at Daffodils Spice Court to have a memorable vacation.

Very good, central location, perfect service, clean and quiet room, most generous late check out

Top hotel - clean, proper hot shower, superb continental breakfast, good coffee, great location (3 mins walk from Jewish Synagoge and little shopping streets). The staff is very friendly and helpful, they even packed us a breakfast box on the day we left as we had a very early start. We highly recommend staying here. And to Fort Cochi it's only a 10 min tuk tuk ride (50-70 INR).
Only a recommendation: a hairdryer would be good😀
