About this house rental

Very Private, Nice gardens, 24 hour power, Fantastic fishing, Area for kids to play, Fish cleaning area, Fire ring outside, go for walks in the bush. Nice areas to sit out side & relax, Vehicle wash down available, Close to beaches & local shop. Heaven on earth. Gods own country.
Please bring your own fire wood to burn in the fire pit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Bella Vita House. Perfect location awsome undercovered area out back, under cover parking that was a huge benefit with unloading out of the rain. Great communication with the hosts and caretaker. Definitely would like to rebook for our trip to the island next year. Thank you to you Eddie for the use of your accommodation .

So myself and 3 mates were on the island fishing, La Bella Vita was a great place to stay, set back out of the wind and perfect for our needs. The two fridges, freezer and outdoor area were a huge hit and it was great to kick back with an ice cold beer at the end of the day.

This is the third year we’ve stayed at Eddie’s house. Perfect spot for us. Close to Champagne Rocks and the top end. House is a bit tired, but has everything we need for an awesome holiday! We will be back. Thanks Eddie!

Absolutely fantastic, each and everyone one of my family group had the most enjoyable stay TBH - it bought back so many memories for us all, when we walked in to the place. It reminded us all of our grandparents place. Going back in time, was a very pleasant feeling We couldn’t ask for a much nicer place to stay, it had everything that open and shut. Will definitely stay again, that’s a must!!!

We left the house in a cleaner state than when we arrived, it could do with some safety improvements with the light switch for the kitchen and the unstable barby que that we did not use. There was only a few knifes in the cutlery draw, so we use them as needed. The hot water was great, the fans were defiantly needed in summer to help with the heat at night. Beds were comfortable. Great covered area to get a bit of the breeze when the mozzies weren't active. Overall, we were happy with the price for what the house was. My Dad tripped on the long grass, so a mow and tidy up outside would have been appreciated before we arrived. The fridge space was great. The gas stove worked well. The cups and glasses in the cupboards need a full washing, as we had to wash what we wanted to use beforehand. We vacuumed the whole house, mopped the floors, cleaned the fridges and stove and took away the rubbish when we left, so the next visitors should be happy with the state of how we left the house. The house kept us dry from the rain, and was an ok base for the time we were there. We had booked for 5 nights but only made it for the last 2 we had booked due to other commitments. With a few little fixups and cleaning this little house would score well for those wanting a budget type accomodation.

You get what you get with how it looks by the pictures. It is definitely in need for a big tidy up and clean. Grass & gardens were overgrown. House wasn't clean when we arrived and felt I spent most of my time cleaning up from previous guests. This place has big potential just needs some time put into it & the cleaner to actually clean the place once guests leave. Beds were comfy and overall was ok for a short stay.

Property well suited to a boy's trip. Outdoor undercover area great! Rustic interior has everything required. Bathrooms good. Showers great lots of hot water. Would suggest a bit of an upgrade to non stick pots and pans and oven dishes. Two big fridges and a chest freezer is absolutely great. Undercover parking a plus. Overhaul a great place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay and the fire pit is where the tailor grew gigantic. Freezer and fridges spaces to hold the fillets and refreshments. Selection of glasses for the drink of choice. Definitely La Bella Vita is ideal for a group of fishermen.

We loved our stay. Accommodation suited us three guys for a week of fishing. House and bathroom dirty. Ladies would find unacceptable. But we guys were fine.

The good: reliable 24h solar power, continuous flow hot water, big washing machine, big kitchen with multiple fridges and a chest freezer, safe property / neighbourhood, great location to explore, inexpensive ($20 per person per day). The not-so-good: entire place was dusty (we wiped down all hard surfaces), weird layout - one shower opens directly into the hall to the back door, other shower is outside and built into a shed. Two bedrooms have a shared wall that is not complete (noise travelled). Big ants came in at night for water (they didn't sting or bite, but we rarely used the outdoor shower after dark because of it). Outdoor space is so crammed with furniture it is hard to move. Overall: great place to crash, and the price was right.

Property was not clean upon arrival, mould on bedroom walls hidden by mattress. Not young family friendly, couldn't put our 10 month old down anywhere as all surfaces were grubby. Very old furniture was very dirty and dusty, we refused to sit on any of them. After all this we were asked to clean the property prior to departure, using a brush,broom and very worn out Mop with just a normal bucket. There was also no bathmats or toilet paper either. We left 1 day early due the the place being very unkept and couldn't relax as you are on holiday to do so. The fore pit was the only good thing about the place,

We've been staying at La Bella Vita now for 3 years using it as our base for our annual fishing trip. It is the perfect setup for this but would also be the perfect spot for families wanting to explore the Northern end of the Island. House was clean and Greg and Shona do a great job of making you feel welcome. Will be back again next year :)

Place had everything we needed, and was sufficient to our needs for a short stay. Plenty of fridges for families to seperate their food. Hot showers and even a T.V for chilling out. Has potential to be even better and if I was getting picky it could of done with some better curtains or blinds to stop the light coming in, (didnt bother me as I was normally up and about but the wife sleeps longer so it would of saved a little ear bashing for me. Lol Also a tidy up outside around the house of long grass areas would be good but overall didn't effect our stay and would still happily return for another stay

All the bed are comfy, there was two fridge and three freezer! So if you go with big group of people you wont worry there is no enough play for storage frozen food. Nice outdoor area with fire place and bbq ! It was quiet around the area. Close to shop and beach !

If you’re chasing a property that feels really homely and cosy and has almost anything you could need, this is the one. Plenty of kitchenware and beds for all. Nice and private from neighbours and fully fenced from dingoes gives people a chance to relax especially with children, regardless of how dingo aware they are it’s nice to have that added element of relaxation. The neighbour could probably visit a little less or interact a little less when doing yard duties, but was friendly. Overall a great property!
