Grazie signora Lucia.

Colazioni e cene abbondanti, camere pulite, struttura meravigliosa.

Mamma Lucia’s dinner was outstanding. The olive oil that they produce is excellent.

Beautiful building; comfortable room; friendly and charming hosts; Lucia’s excellent cooking; delicious wine and olive oil; stunning location.
There is nothing to add. I cannot think of any negatives about Torre Bruno.

All bad
1. We arrived shortly before 3.00pm. the notified checking in time. Despite entering the building and also sounding the car horn it was not until 3.30 when a lady appeared which was after we’d phoned through and spoken to her son who let her know we’d arrived. There was no contact bell on the reception desk.
2. We parked in a gravel area behind the building, full of weeds, totally unkempt with just one battered car. There was no attraction in the garden with any attempt at plants or flowers.
3. The only sign of life, two cats with very evident advanced stages of mange and two dogs who were in serious need of grooming.
4. Finally into the property to find one of the steepest stone staircases (the height of the risers being about 50% greater than normal), no prior notice on the Booking.com website
5. Outside at the front of the property a small lawn with four tables, no umbrellas or sun shields. We had prebooked dinner, could we eat outside? No, the cats jump on the tables
6. My wife has been suffering from a chest infection and not eating. Today, we were charged €20 for the 4 squares of ravioli that she was served (at the lady’s insistence she suggested she tried to eat but I ended up having them myself).
7. In the room there were no glasses of any sort, glass, cardboard or plastic. The bathroom as basic as could be with minimum-sized plastic shower cubicle; there was no plug in the basin (just a gaping hole – don’t drop anything down into it!).
8. Shutters that have seen better days seemingly impossible to close so we had to call the owner who closed them for us
9. And then finally from this so called ‘wonder chef’ Breakfast consisted of a croissant, small piece of cake, two pre-wrapped butter pats and two tiny jars of jam, plastic portioned spreads. Any meat, cheese or eggs totally missing. Commercial fruit juice in a small bottle. A selection of fruit.

The hospitality and the food were great. We called to say that we are arriving late and the host was very accommodating.
We liked the peace and quiet of the area.
Nothing comes to mind.

Very beautiful location in the middle of an olive tree plantation.
Authentic restored tower and very nice hosts. The owners mum cooked us a (vegetarian) 4-course menu which was super authentic and delicious and the best was the amazong breakfast with warm Croissants and fresh cake and lots of fruit.
The rooms havenonly small windows, but as it is a tower and we were on the top floor thats also part of the authentic charme.

Breakfast was great... it included eggs from Lucia's own chickens on the property. The dinners were Nonna Lucia's versions of popular dishes like melanzane parmigiana (melt in your mouth), pasta fagiole, and her hand-made orecchiette. The location is simply amazing. The room was huge, bathroom excellent with lots of hot water. The driveway is 1.3 kilometers long so just keep going. It is graded so it is OK for an ordinary car. The rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors so be aware of that - this is an ancient building so no lift. WiFi was fine plus there is a cell signal from Carpino that we got in our room. The television featured all the Italian channels - we enjoyed the cooking shows (4 Restaurants, Master Chef Italia). And don't forget to pick up some of their amazing olive oil on your way out. It's apparently available all over Europe but not in the US or Canada.

amazing hospitality of host, she cooked us everything she grow in her garden and she treated us like we are part of her family, great location for walk and hiking activity.
nothing really but steps can be too much for some people.

One of the best places, where we ever stayed. Very well reconstructed old house with all comfort, in big olive park, wonderful views, peace and silence...The hostess made fantastic dinner, I highly recommend! She and her sons were very nice and helpful.

Quirky places to stay with welcoming hosts. We enjoyed the evening meals - try their olive oil, it's delicious.

It is in a beautiful location and the building itself is particularly nice, very clean and with spacious rooms that are very well looked after. I also loved that you can get the experience of an authentic Italian dinner with amazing food and lovely hosts.
The signs to get you there are very difficult to see if you get there at night and the instructions on how to get there tricky to understand if you are not an Italian speaker

We loved our stay at this ancient tower house. Lucia the woman who runs the inn is delightful- very accommodating and made us feel right at home. She is an excellent cook and we had a lovely dinner at the inn- and highly recommend eating there.
The building is beautiful historical and so peaceful-the views are gorgeous
the dinner delicious

What an incredibly helpful family. They went above and beyond when we broke down 15 kilometres from the agriturismo - rescuing us and taking us to the garage for repairs. Thank you Emilio! The tower has been restored beautifully and you can feel the passion they have about the building. We had a lovely room with high arched roof but what made this special was how attentive the family are for the guests needs. Do consider having an evening meal - it was excellent. Recommended.

Very friendly hosts, who do their utmost best to accommodate all guests. Location is fantastic (very quiet, so don't go there if you want to spend your holidays close to where the "action" is - you need a car to go any place, though can stay for dinner at Torre Bruno). Dinner is authentic italian dinner made by "la mama" with fresh ingredients. We particularly loved the fresh orange juice in the morning. Close to the National Park and Umbra Forest for the active vacationers - hiking, mountain bike, ....
This place will be great if there is a swimming pool (we understand that this is in the works for next year), as it will allow (better) to spend a day on site relaxing, reading a book, doing nothing, etc.
Very tall people (> 1.95m) may have some difficulty with the ironwork at the back of the bed (see pictures on the website). Shower drain got obstructed last morning, no opportunity to have it fixed anymore (we had to leave), but something to keep an eye on.

We arrived at Torre Bruno with our rented car. This "agriturismo" is located right inside the Gargano National Park... so just imagine riding a country road filled with incredible nature, herbs, olive tree smells that finally led us to the marvelous panoramic hill were the tower is located. The air was breezy and sweet, illuminated by the sunlight. We were greeted happily by Benny and Macchia, two wonderful dogs and the land kitties that live in the garden. Lucia, the host, immediately felt like an old friend. She is so loving, respectful and cares about the well being of her guests as if they were her family members. The Bruno family did a phenomenal job restoring this old medieval watchtower down to the tiniest detail. Lucia and her sons take care of the estate and everything that comes with it.
Our room was very specious, spotless clean, shampoo/soap & towels were provide and with A/C. Every morning, Lucia would give us an amazing breakfast with local croissants, marmelade made with fruit from her garden, freshly-squeezed juice, any type of coffee and pies and sweets freshly made by Lucia herself!
In the evening, if you wish- you can pay to enjoy dinner with her homemade cooking serving different entrees, wine and tasting of Torre Bruno's own olive oil produced out of the olive trees that surround the estate - a most delicious culinary experience for those who seek to taste true local & traditional italian food. The location is also very convenient, by car you can reach the main sea towns, Rodi, Vieste and Peschici if you seek night-life or a good swim, but also the well known Umbrian Forest for those who love to hike. Our experience was exceptional and we left the place with heavy hearts. This family created a place filled with wonder and beauty, and we felt their hard work and love for their land through the way they took care of us and shared. Thank you for an incredible memory - we will definitely be back! :)

Such a lovely family! They made us feel very welcome and the food was awesome :)
We had our dog with us and she also liked it a lot. However keep in mind that the rooms get really warm during hot summer days.
4.6
The location was lovely, if difficult to locate(!) on arrival. Nice big room with extensive views. Breakfast and 2 dinners taken in the restaurant featured the owner's excellent home cooking.
No ventilation in bathroom. Would have liked more hooks/rails for drying wet towels.
