Beautiful pub and family room, staff were wonderful and breakfast was excellent. Great location to explore barmouth.room was exceptionally clean and everything we needed and for our dog.
We were informed beforehand they had a band on Saturday night, so there could be some noise however the floors were soundproofed, unfortunately our family room was right above the band. We expected some noise but not to feel like the band were actually in our room, the beds shook the pictures nearly fell off the walls and the lamps were vibrating off the bedside tables. You couldn't even have a conversation as we couldn't hear each other. The band went on past midnight too so it was a bit much for us. I would suggest the family room needs moving so it is not above the bar where the band plays, if we had small children travelling with us there would have been no way they would have been able to sleep. Anyway we had a good laugh about it the next morning as we were only there for one night but wouldn't book the family room again, we would book separate rooms on the other end of the hotel, as we walked down the landing to the other end you couldn't hear a thing.

Great location, lovely staff, great breakfast, such good value for money.
Would have been nice to have a proper place to store bags prior to check in.

The breakfast was lovely and the staff were great you could have what you wanted and it was well cooked the rooms were really nice and the staff lovely
I would have liked another cup of tea at breakfast but I didn’t ask so that was my fault

The staff were lovely. So friendly. I'd especially like to mention Fiona who was wonderful. The room was really cute, I love how quirky and stylish everything is. Great food too!
They could do with some sound-proofing. The music from downstairs was loud until past midnight.. bit unusual on a Wednesday, I would say. But it's not enough to stop me coming back.

When you first see the build you do wonder as it is mainly a pub, however once you go in and meet the friendly staff and are shown the nice clean rooms with plenty of tea and coffee, nice clean showers and all you need this makes up for it. Also it helps having a side door so you do not have to come and go through the bar. They have a reasonable menu and a separate dining area, breakfast you order either in your room or in the dining area and give a time the night before as well as place you order which arrives very promptly once you are seated. You have a choice of fully cooked or cereal, pancakes or even all of your hungry and the food is very nice well done to all the staff.
The only comments would be parking is a short walk away if you have a case to carry but it’s only £5 a night so not bad.
The room was nice as we said but the bed was against the wall so would have been better if you moved it over say 12inch I know it is difficult but that’s the only things we would say.

It was quirky and eclectic but very clean and everyone was so friendly.
I would definitely come again but would just stay up and join in till 12.30 like everyone else.
The noise that went on till 12.30 on a Thursday night. We needed to sleep but the bass beat was horrendous.

The room was beautiful. Full of lovely furniture. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was brought up to us the next morning. Just perfect.
The only criticism is the music playing till midnight but it is a pub after all.

The Breakfast was lovely, you have the option of having it delivered to your room or to go downstairs, We had it in our room due to the dogs but it was faultless. Wonderful room service - The room was made up with spare dog blankets, bowls and complimentary treats. The staff also set up a bottle of wine and balloon for my birthday which was so thoughtful and unexpected. The hotel is a 5 min walk to the beach which is ideal and the dogs absolutely loved it. The bed was massive and very comfy and the heating and shower in the room are 5*. The staff made such a fuss of us and made us feel so welcome. Will definitely be staying again and recommend anyone fancying a beach weekend to go there. Incredible value for money and really nice atmosphere.
We purposely went when the town is out of season for the winter so we loved the quietness of the beach and area but if you want to go for the weather and crowds Summer is best. I have not a single fault for the hotel it was wonderful regardless of the weather!

Great central location. Room clean , a little warm when in feb. but we turned wall heater an heater off an opened window
Breakfast excellent
There was a band on being a Saturday night which could hear from room but it finished before midnight and we were down watching for most of it so all good.
Maybe could serve bar food in the lower bar during the day but this wasn’t a problem.

comfortable and relaxing room, perfect location, great breakfast and Sunday dinner
music probably went on a little late for a Sunday but wouldn’t stop me staying again
3.5
Great location, friendly staff good service Warm welcome.
The room that we was in the bed was pushed against the wall, which made it very impractical, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable mattress, too soft, and gave wine in the middle

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The check in was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was served quickly and without fuss. The hotel was in a central location and would be ideal for people travelling by train, but parking was available nearby, too. We would definitely book again. We didn't have the opportunity to try an evening meal as there was a function on the night we stayed, but Barmouth has a few other places where you can eat, so it was not a problem.
Like many hotels, the bathroom would have benefitted from a shelf of some kind. However, that was a minor niggle as it was otherwise well-appointed.

Everything, The Pub/Hotel was a fab quirky, old fashioned style themed place. The bar staff were friendly. The morning breakfast was served up looking good & tasted very nice & plenty of it.
Our room, The Superior room was fantastic, the period feature furniture, looked fab against the cream walls & our four poster bed was very comfy. The bathroom was beautifully designed, couldn't fault a thing with anything, one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in ....& a sea view.
Will definitely stay again.
Whats not to like.

Lovely room, very comfortable, and attractively furnished.
Very good breakfast, with lots of choice and included in the price.
Great location, an easy walk from the station and shops, seafront etc.
Although there was live music in the pub, and it is on a main road, the room (on 2nd floor) was very quiet. You "check in" in the pub, but there is a separate entrance to get to the rooms.
The only minus was that there is no lift, but a member of staff helped carry the luggage up to the room.

Exceptionally clean room, friendly staff and a great breakfast.
Very loud in the evening with loud live music and customers leaving at closing time.
