Really nice, comfortable and just a perfect location
Nothing grated at all it was peaceful so not for those wanting a hectic night life

The location and the views from the verandah
Furniture and decor very dated, uncomfortable and mismatched. Upstairs room are quite smelly and musty. Kitchen is not what I would call a self contained kitchen, not stocked (for eg no egg flip, toaster). The owner is right underneath you and you can see their roof, so didn't feel all that private for us. No adequate seating on the verandah for a family, there is not even an outdoor table and chairs to eat at so you have to eat inside. My kids did not want to shower by themselves due to privacy as the windows were open (outdoor shower). I feel there are safety features lacking as well, no smoke alarms and none of the external doors are lockable. My kids left and have been calling it 'the creepy house'

It was fantastic. We loved everything, especially the gardens and the comfort of the beds. And more sun-birds than you could possibly imagine.
Nothing.

In the middle of the forest so was an amazing place to experience the bird calls and rain forest experience
There was only one bathroom downstairs but no hardship for our group at all, was clean and got to experience the outside in experience, was nice

The bush location was exceptional. The house had unique features. The kitchen was well equipped. The food scraps were saved for the chooks.
Having some little bush visitors

What a great spot to relax. The secluded location was beautiful giving you the space you need to just chill.
The house is lovely, but the outdoor space was extra special. It gives you the chance to immerse yourself in the rainforest environment both daytime and evening.
Exploring the Daintree is a must from the Alexandra Lookout all the way to the Kulki beach, drop off into each beach and boardwalk to explore.
We did a crocodile cruise on the way to the Daintree, definitely a must do thing.
Nothing to dislike, just recommend stocking up with groceries as you come through Mossman Gorge. The local store though will stocked is very expensive.

Beautiful wrap around porch. Very beautiful gardens. The location was nice, close by to a few boardwalk paths and activities. Lots of hot water for showers. The place has great potential. Very fun and quirky features such as glow in dark shower and lots of unique woodworking
Not enough seating for a family of four. Beds were not very comfortable. The bathroom was not very clean or updated. You have to pack away all your food otherwise it will be covered in small ants and will attract cockroaches which were not fun to see. The doors don’t lock which worked out fine but seemed a little unsafe.

Stunning garden. Comfortable beds. Spacious living area. Fun bathroom. Geckos, moths and golden orb weaver were fantastic!
Nothing. My elderly mother found the stairs a bit daunting at night time, getting from the second storey bedroom to the bathroom/toilet in the dark.

Beautiful location. Fantastic views from house/deck.
Owner Sylvia was very welcoming.
Loved the quirky architecture and deck area.
The only negative was having to go downstairs for the toilet at night!!

Be aware that this is not your standard holiday stay. The house is very much a part of nature, so don't expect resort-style living. Once we adjusted to the environment, we loved the peace and quiet, the sounds of the rainforest, even the orb spider living on the verandah became a familiar and friendly presence.
Surprisingly, one of the best things about this house is the lack of wifi or phone reception. Our phone-addicted teens read entire books on the beautiful verandah, played cards, and connected with us and each other more than they have in years. They are still looking back fondly on the stay as a stand-out of the trip.
We had some issues with mosquito nets in a couple of the rooms. The kitchen is fine, but slightly basic. We were still able to cook full meals for the family with a little adjustment, so it's not a big issue.

serenity - balcony view - edge of national park- Clean & well presented furniture complementing timber construction & Garden setting
there is nothing to dislike unless you must need an air cond, iron , microwave - All these items we never rely on or need when travelling to such a beautiful destination in the forest- it’s an off the grid stay which we loved, if you need air cond , suggest try and adapt to the natural warmth of the forest first & use the internal ceiling fans which were fine for our stay & quiet .

The location is excellent, very central to the local attractions of the area. Sylvia, the owner, is very friendly and full of smiles.
Our family found the lack of technology to be a strong positive: don't expect TV or the internet.
The kitchen facilities were great, with a gas stove top and oven in excellent condition, even a coffee grinder with beans provided in the freezer.
There is some mold present in the furniture and house, particularly in the outdoor furniture and pillows on the deck. So much that we didn't feel comfortable sitting on the couches provided. The games provided had mold present (e.g the chess pieces), there is also a strong musty smell in the crockery cupboard.
We also didn't expect to be sharing the land with the owner, and probably wouldn't have booked this accommodation if we knew. Sylvia is a lovely person, but we were expecting privacy.

We had the best time. So much to explore. The house was beautiful. The location was beautiful. It was everything we wanted and more. Sylvia is a lovely person too and always helpful. We wish we stayed here longer and less time in Cairns. It was absolutely beautiful.
We didn’t not like anything but a handy hint is to shop at Mossman at the woolies as you pass it as the shops are minimal once you catch the car ferry.

Beautiful, tranquil. Stunning garden views. Bespoke tree house with only the sounds of nature to awaken you. We enjoyed exploring the garden, and the surrounding rainforest. Torches at night to find critters. We took a full day fishing charter and caught Coral Trout, Fingermarks and many others. Saw crocs, Snapper Island and stunning mangroves. Local fisher Jamie Beitzel top bloke, knows every inch of this river system. We had an awesome day! (Book via fishingportdouglas.com.au) Even saw a Dingo cross the road. Our lovely host Sylvia is such a beautiful soul, and we loved being able to give Sylvia a fresh feed of fish we caught which was enthusiastically received. Lync haven 4 minutes down the road, good food, friendly lovely family owners. So do it! Book your off grid technology detox and reconnect with nature! Be kind and be mindful to the Daintree owner operators, this is a challenging place to run a business. Thank you Sylvia for allowing us the privilege of staying in your patch of paradise. Xxxx
We loved it all. We came for the nature. We got the nature!

Amazing property in a stunning location. The host was great, very welcoming and the house had everything we needed and more. We arrived late in the dark but woke up to an incredible view and a stunning array of wildlife.
That we only booked a few day..!!! Could have stayed here forever.

Sylvia left a selection of thoughtful items for us to enjoy during our stay such as tea, coffee, milk, fresh eggs and fruit from her garden. The house was beautiful and Sylvia made us very extremely welcome

Nothing we didn’t like. This place is a hidden gem!

This is the second time we have stayed at A Daintree Garden. It is an absolutely fabulous location for peace and quiet, nature and bird watching. Sylvia, our host, is very friendly and helpful. The house is charming with lots of inbuilt art work like the lovely iron work on the balcony. The stream at the bottom of the property is beautiful with several secluded swimming holes (which require a bit of scrambling through the rainforest).
Wifi and our Telstra mobile data wasn't accessible. Optus is apparently better.

An amazing experience. I recommend visitors stay a minimum of three nights so you can see the sights but also have time to relax and enjoy this amazing property in an idyllic setting. Sitting out on the balcony reading a book and listening to the birds and watching the butterflies was one of the highlights of my holiday. Its the sort of place it's hard to leave.
Nothing not too like. We had hoped to see a cassowary as they do visit the property but we were not that lucky.

Photos don't do the property justice. It is spacious, clean, well equipped with everything we needed and perfectly located in a private and idyllic garden. Host is pleasure to deal with. An absolute dream!
wifi was very patchy, could benefit from a signal booster. However, it's a great space to disconnect and enjoy the surrounds so it wasn't a big issue.

the most beautiful house in an idyllic setting. we loved sitting on the terrrace and looking over the garden. Sylvia was extremely friendly.
nothing - it was perfect.

A wonderful sanctuary with the most gorgeous gardens. The home itself was fabulous with everything one needed to refresh and chill out. The owner Sylvia is lovely and very helpful. We found a secret beach with no one on it. The dogs had a great time. My dogs are well-behaved but if you had an escape artist then you'd need to secure the dog. Mine just lazed around the verandah.

Amazing butterfly-filled garden location in the heart of the Daintree, The house is spectacular and made us feel like queens~! We cannot wait to return!

Location could not be better, completely surrounded by nature & plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas with a short drive.
1%’s such as lack of lighting, some globes removed?, some not working, looks like a light casing had been removed from ceiling in living area?
A couple of faulty switches.
Simple essentials like coffee, sugar & milk not available and given location you wouldn’t expect you should bring this yourself.
There were Moccona sachets but rock solid and could not dissolve.
Sugar jar but just a few scraps In the bottom.
Shower was a struggle to sort.
Sliding Entrance doors great but cannot secure and no fly screen to keep mosquitoes out so plenty of coils are needed and a bit of spray if walking outside.
Stronger WIFI signal couldn’t connect night one and off and on the next day.
Again just the little things on their own but a lot of little things downgrade the experience.
Sort that out and do a welcome basket Breakfast basket or something and that would really make the ultimate experience.

Beautiful location and gardens. Charming house and friendly owner. Great birdwatching from the balcony. Good location for all of the attractions of the area.
The house is off grid so there are limited electrical appliances and patchy wifi. But the remoteness and closeness to nature is part of the appeal.

Everything was fantastic!
So much better than we expected and the photos don’t do it justice!
Wonderful host…super lovely and helpful 😊
