Motorboote vom Pier hört man Nachts

The location was amazing
Breakfast could have been better

Exceptionally nice personnel (special thanks to Poom)
Great sea view

Dream location in the jungle
Very well kept
Extreme noise from boat traffic all day :-(
Small private beach unfortunately littered

Fabulous views, fabulous pool, beautiful villas

Views and pool were fantastic. Staff helped to accommodate taking luggage to the room.
I wasn’t aware of how many steps there were to just to get to the hotel room. We were put the furtherest one away, but I understand this how the island and hotel is built. My main concern is the food. It was unacceptable and unsafe. When we first arrived we ordered lunch and my friend ordered a pizza to then later had to run immediately to the bathroom. I then tried out the chicken satay to nearly be poisoned to Salmonella. The chicken was PINK I had to cough this back up and I was scared of how ill I would be. I was so scared all night of being ill. All staff could do is apologise but I honestly believe they did not understand how dangerous this was to serve uncooked chicken. Please check the meat at all times if eating there.

The hotel was in the most beautifully secluded location about a 10 minute walk from the restaurants and activities of Railay beach. The room was decorated so nice and very clean. The view from the balcony was amazing
It did get a little noisy from the constant long boats (the engines are very loud). The food from the restaurant could have been a bit better.

Really well situated very quiet and only 10 mins walk from the shops and restaurants , ideal location

Amazing holiday, stayed here for just over 2 weeks.
The room was really nice and clean, all the staff are super friendly and helpful, big selection of food each day and all of it was good, amazing views everywhere you look, bit of a walk to go anywhere else but we didn’t mind because of the beautiful sights along the path, theres a free boat from the hotel to the mainland at certain times, still cheap even if you miss the free times.
They even made us up a fruit basket which was left in our room.
Lots of stuff to do and see at railay, such as: beaches, swimming, snorkelling, coral reefs, cliff climbing, view points, caves, kayaking, paddle boarding, lagoon, massages, restaurants, shops, bars, boat trips.
Lots of wildlife to see too, such as: monkeys, many different lizards (including monitor lizards) , birds (including parrots and hornbills), bats, frogs, butterflies, beetles, snails&slugs, many fish, sharks, amazing plants, trees and flowers.
The closest beaches to the hotel looked lovely, however they had a lot of dead leaves on them, i wish i could have spent a day there but due to the leaves there was a lot of ants and i get bitten by ants so we couldn’t stay at them for too long :(

The great view, the monkeys that we can see from our balcony, the pool was big and nice maintain, the room and the beautiful and comfy bathroom, the sound of the joungle and the gentle waves in the morning, the big comfy bed.
It a bit far away, like 20 min walk to the center of railay, but this is also make the ability to feel nature more.
The breakfast was very simple and not that fresh (the fruit for example).

This place is ideal for spending your holidays in a beautiful, isolated paradise surrounded by nature and the sea.
I loved the swimming pool, with sea view but in the middle of the jungle.
The bungalow is quite cosy, plenty of space. It has a nice, new bathroom (super important) and the balcony gives you a sense of stepping into the nature.
Even if the resort is in the middle of nowhere, it has its own path all the way to the key places. Such a beautiful walk close to the sea!
100% recommended to a solo traveler who wants to enjoy a peaceful holidays in the paradise of Railay.

According to Google the Railay Great View is a 3 star Hotel which means it should offer a broad range of amenities and the service & design are of good quality. In this regard the hotel exceeded my expectations.
Knowing Railay is famous for its bars & parties I wanted somewhere far enough from the action to be sheltered from it and near enough for my 21 year old to get there at night himself. Also on the wish list was a pool, some character, Wi-Fi and ideally a nice veranda, again I came up trumps with the Railay Great view.
Accessible from Railay West pier by traditional long tail boat or a 15 minute walk on a paved trail (just about manageable with a stroller).
The resort is located on a steep rocky incline which means it’s definitely unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues or high blood pressure…that said once the effort is made to climb to your room through the jungle foliage the reward is worth it with stunning chalets, decorated in a traditional red woods style but complete with room service, stocked minibars (no alcohol), boiling hot rainwater showers, air con, tea & coffee making and generous verandas. The trees are filled with monkeys and the grounds full of lizards and orchids.
The pool area was lovely with sweeping views of Railay west.
Accessability of the rooms is a major issue, most are up a very steep incline, there are some haphazard concrete steps to reach the highest ones which I really struggled with and I'm fit & healthy, the paths are also mostly unlit making any excursion from your room after dark a fairly hairy experience. This was no longer an issue once I moved rooms to a lower one.
There are two small private beaches at the resort but both could do with some TLC from the litter fairies and perhaps a deck chair or two.

Gorgeous place nestled in a little jungle. Very gorgeous place. Some improvements could be made to make this place a 10 such as a better drinks and food menu etc. But otherwise lovely. Lot's of steep hills and steps so if you find this tricky, ask for a room close to reception and the pool. Transfer arranged via the hotel was efficient but expensive 1500 from airport, but we were arriving late so didn't have too many options. This place is a 15 min walk from main Railay beach and the sea at the Great view is beautiful, but not for swimming. The pool is perfect and the bathroom was amazing. Would recommend if you arrive during the day and you don't have mobility issues or a pushchair.
Steep hills and loads of them. Noise from the boats may annoy you if you're a light sleeper, but ear plugs are provided and it's how people and goods move about so you need them also.

The property is in a really beautiful area; above a secluded (non swimming) beach with incredible views.
Our room had a view from both the balcony and bathroom that was extraordinary.
The swimming pool also had a great view of the sea with long tails passing by in the distance.
Maybe we we’re lucky with the time we booked, but I doubt that (high season) but was very quiet. Feels peaceful and secluded.
The staff: although mostly friendly, speak barely any English. I am familiar with Thailand having travelled here a lot before, but English was below the level expected.
The room: it is a beautiful wood cabin. However, they only give you one key and electricity etc cuts off when you leave and take the key. This is relatively common in Thailand, but a real pain when it’s 38 degrees and you come back to a room that’s even hotter.
The restaurant: Food was average, staff were poor - apathetic mostly and rude on occasion. If you ask them for something that requires some extra effort (eg turning on a coffee machine) don’t expect it to be done.
Location: it’s a pretty long walk from the rest of railay… I wouldn’t say that’s a big problem because the walk is actually it’s own adventure and quite nice however if your caught in a storm as we were one day, it can be a bit more challenging. The property is also situated on a secluded beach which has not been cleaned in a long time which feels like a massively missed opportunity because it looks like it could be a really beautiful beach.
There are monkeys in the resort and they climb over the roofs of the rooms- sounds idyllic, actually not, because they sometimes aggressively bang on the plastic bathroom roof.
Cost: We paid around 90gbp/night. Given the options in Thailand I don’t think this is reasonable. However, weirdly - if a few things were changed by the hotel, I could see this place commanding a significantly higher price (namely the beach, the restaurant and 2 keys to guests).

our cabin was just next to the pool,so close to the restaurant and exit also. we loved the cabin and terrace with beautiful view. collected very nice memories and met nice people. would stay there again
the sound of boat taxis was like someone was mowing lawn constantly 😀 first couple of days you can hear it later you don’t care. pool service hours should be longer.

the place is clean and the rooms are nice.
the staff were unpleasant, we asked for things and they laughed at us.
the place is far from the center and at night it’s really scary to go there on foot.
you can get there with a boat that cost you 200 bhat ro every direction.
the room are nice but the curtains are clear so as soon as the sun comes up you can’t sleep, the room is really alight and it’s getting really hot.

Good private tours offer. Staff was nice but sometimes probably not much experienced.
The hotel is located in the middle of the jungle. This can be really nice as you see around only vegetation and the sea in front. Unfortunately, rooms and bungalow were not really clean nor sealed off. Therefore many insects could enter the room. In three days we face ourselves against 3 coackroaches and even a scorpion and there are also snakes around. Monkeys are all around but they don’t bother much and is actually nice. I would suggest the hotel to take more care of their customer providing better isolation for the rooms.

Nice sea view, and many monkeys that make my son so happy.
The breakfast was to no taste.
If you need a fried egg you need to stay 5 minutes in line.
The worth of this is food ordered for the lunch. We ordered pizza and everything that was not eaten in the morning was in the pizza. It's awful.
Personal is good people, but management needs to be improved.
In the evening Wi-FI - doesn't work.
