Het was een heerlijke plek met vriendelijk personeel, mooie omgeving en een heerlijk ontbijt. Wij zijn echt tot rust gekomen.

Basen, dostęp do morza, widoki, jedzenie i położenie domków i ich wygląd.

The room is so comfortable and spacious, we really loved it! The setting is stunning and the pool is amazing. The spa is really nice too – on the expensive side for Thailand, but really good massages. There was a mixup with our booking and they booked us for the wrong service but it was still very nice.
The food is good (not great, but not bad), and the drinks were just okay (very weak). Most of the staff were friendly except a bartender who was very rude multiple times and made us feel uncomfortable. Another thing to note is that when the tide goes out, the beach isn't really one you will want to sit at or swim in.
Walking to and from the restaurant to the bungalow we were in at the back of the property was a long one (and uphill!). Doing that multiple times a day with a toddler got a little old, but it wasn't too big of a deal. I wish they had more staff offering rides in the golf carts!
One last thing to know is this resort is extremely isolated. There is one local restaurant within walking distance, but to get to areas with more going on you have to drive 20-30 minutes in one direction on a motorbike. That means you're kind of stuck at the resort unless you do a tour or rent a motorbike.

3 core benefits: Friendly Staff, amazing breakfast, peaceful apartness. The rooms were nice and clean with open shower (if you like it). The bungalows are seperated and surrounded by plants and forest in order to avoid curious glances from the neighbors. Only birds, cicadas and lizzards keep watching you. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING compared to everything we´ve seen in Thailand so far in this price category. The long infinity pool is really cool and invites for a long swim. Pool lounges are comfty and towels are provided. The restaurant staff, reception, beachbar (bar 2), housekeeping and maintenance was very friendly and endeavored. They solved a technical room problem with a fair room change.
Staff at poolbar (bar 1) was not attentive, ignored us during happy hour and then came 1min after the happy our to tell us: "Happy hour is over now". Thanks for nothing, please look for another hotel, you don´t fit into the team.
Toilets are typical for all muslimic areas i´ve been to. They usually clog up quickly, so watch out.
The gym needs some attention as well but still it was usable.
The beach affected by low tide almost continuously, but this does not fall into my hotel rating. Luckily it was the cleanest beach i´ve seen over there so far.

Nice environment, we felt very relaxed as soon as we arrived! Paddle boards and canoes available for use, great for our teenage kids. Friendly staff. We booked excursions via the hotel, stress free. I accidentally stepped onto sea urchin and driver took me to doctor and back with no fuss
The commute to get to the hotel.

Very private outdoor area with lovely jungle outlook. Enjoyed watching the squirrels and butterflies go about their business.
Friendly helpful staff.
Lots of options for breakfast, excellent.
Long uphill walk to villa (but cart was always an option).

Good breakfast, nice to take a stroll down the beach. Pool is great for swimming.
The whole place needs to be refurbished. It is tired and hasn't changed since I was there ten years ago. Please invest in the hotel to not lose your recurring customers.

Absolutely beautiful rooms, dining area and swimming pools. No the beach isn’t perfect for swimming but it makes for even better viewing from the infinity pool. The staff are also wonderful! Thank you Koh Yao Village!

One of my favourite resorts in Thailand. Beautiful setting and scenery. Staff were very friendly and helpful and even upgraded me as I had stayed before, which I really appreciated. Also enjoyed the choice of music they played. :)
They do have some water dispensers but they weren't in a very obvious place. It would be nice to have more access to free drinking water throughout the day to help to stay hydrated in the heat. You do have two complimentary bottles in your room, but these are finished quite quickly.

this was my second time staying at koh yao yai village and i will definitely be back for a third. the resort is beautiful and green. the pools are clean and have beautiful views. the beach is also very nice. the rooms, bathrooms and beds and amazing - large and clean. the restaurant is great, we went to both. mainly the pool bar (keep an eye out for happy hour)
the seafood restaurant is nice but quite expensive for thailand, but really enjoyed the food for a one-time special meal.
the people that work at koh yao village are all so lovely - friendly, and happy to help with anything. Please note this is not koh phi phi (aka party place) - this is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the serenity and nature
extra tips: there is also a restaurant - Chill Chill Pai - at the top of the hill at the entrance which is also a great place for food, just to mix it up - they also do massages next door for significantly cheaper than the resort - obviously is a lot less fancy.
cannot complain - we did have a little bat friend living in the roof on our outdoor area outside our room, but we did not mind, he just chilled and didnt cause any problems

Oke, where to start.
Breakfast is great, a lot of options and some variations.
I booked two different houses, great rooms, spacious, clean and comfortable beds. We did not have any issues with mosquitos (mosquito net is present).
People are helpful and really kind
They have one amazing big pool, and one outdated one which is not really used by people. The new pool is amazing, which is next to the restaurant with amazing views (also a pool bar).
I recommend to come only if you want to relax, no loud music, no weird people, but a calm environment where you really can relax (also great for children)
You can rent a scooter just at the entry of the resort (walking distance), no need to negotiate for price, the people on the island are honest and kind
Also, for muslim people, the food is halal
The island is peaceful, in the sense that, do not expect it to be Phuket or Krabi! The people on the island are so soft and kind, if you want to relax, really rest, you need to visit this island.
some trail path ways where a little to steep, my wife complained, I did not

the view from the infinity pool was absolutely spectacular and the pool itself was huge and clean with plenty of sun beds available at all times of the day. there were beach towels provided and even a cute beach bag that you could use from each room. plenty of shade under the umbrellas available.
the rooms were stunning with a half living room outdoor theme. it was very clean and comfortable we loved the feel of being in nature and around the resort we saw lots of animals and read about them on the cute information boards that were placed around. we saw water monitors, bats, butterflies, lizards. the Wi-Fi was good around the resort, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the lighting In the room was nice, everything was very clean, the provided toiletries were good quality.
the staff were all so friendly and lovely. the guy who does the cocktail bar was an absolute pro and there was 2 happy hours per day 1-3 and 7-9 which made the cocktails very reasonably priced so we enjoyed that!
check in was smooth and the girls on the desk were welcoming and provided all the info we needed and even ran our bags to the room on the golf buggy.
breakfast was good and had lots of choice.
the food in the restaurant was very bad and very poor quality. the view is the main aspect of dining there as it is amazing however the food is awful. the sandwiches were left over from breakfast, the rice was bland and soggy. the curry was watery and had no flavour and barely any chicken in it. we were going hungry until we discovered the restaurant just outside the hotel.
if you go to the restaurant just outside of the hotel - they do the most amazing food! just don’t waste your money dining in here.

Infinity pool, the beach and complete isolation from any activity
Too isolated

- felt like sleeping in the jungle
- great soft bed with good pillows
- big area also with outside possibilities that we loved
- not many insect inside the house no mosquitos found
- an electric car drives you to an from the entrance
- amazing breakfast with many endless choices and sea view
- we enjoyd even the storm and thunder watching from our deluxe jungle house! we ordered food and sat there chilling and feeling nature.
- warm shower outside is lovelee
- love the beach with hammocks, beds, you can take a kajak and go explore
- pools are amazing and clean
- room service was good
rent a scooter uphill and go explore the island! we found some amazing beauty beaches (go early) and have some food at chill chill Pai
- maybe they could offer the pick up from boat to resort included

It’s hard to review this hotel.
For sure it had better days in the past.
The room
It’s really big and nice it just need a update.
The hot water for a shower was not enough for three people for not even five minutes a person. We call this in, and they tried to fix it.
For them it was fixt (they felt the water if it was warm) we try to explain what the problem was but because of the language barrier it was not resolved.
Restaurant
The food is really nice and has good flavor.
The drinks are really overpriced, for a softdrink you will pay 90-100.
The biggest problem in the restaurant is the staff, yes they are friendly but you can not communicate with English with them when you have a question outside the food order. When u order a fresh mango juice they open a package.
The pool
It fantastic with the view over the sea.
They need to update this as well asp.
One of the light under water was hanging out of the concrete, I think this is a safety issue.
Yes a want to inform the hotel about this, because of the language berries I not even tried anymore. I will not start about the small pool.
Overall
It’s a nice little resort but the price what you pay you will not get.
You can better go to elixir, you will get what you pay.
The biggest problem is the English from the staff.
And everything needs a update
