There was an abundance of supplies for breakfast. The cottage was very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. The hosts could not have been any more helpful and communication was excellent. The cottage supplied many things to amuse us whilst the rain kept us inside and it was beautifully warm and cosy.
There was nothing NOT to like.

Amazing location. A stones throw from great cafes and the pub. Short drive to many places to see in the hills.
Right on the creek so you can hear the running water from the porch.
Terry went above and beyond as host. Had the best stay!

I've just returned from an amazing stay at Aldgate Creek Cottage B&B and I can't wait to go back! I decided to visit the Adelaide Hills in late April to make the most of the beautiful Autumn colours that the region is known for, and was so lucky to be able to stay here. The hosts are extremely helpful with great communication and they were waiting for me to arrive, even though it was after 5pm on a Sat.
The cottage is in a gorgeous location with a beautiful garden filled with deciduous trees. It's perched above a creek with pedestrian access to the main street via a cute little bridge. Across the road is the pub with drive through bottle shop. There is also a cafe and Japanese restaurant just next door, and a small supermarket is 1 minute walk away around the corner. The location was also great for touring around the numerous gardens in the Hills to see the Autumn colours, and so close to Adelaide!
The cottage itself has everything you need for a self catered relaxing stay. The decor is elegant and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself and the hosts provided amazing provisions which kept me well fed for the 3 days I was there. A dozen fresh eggs, the best bread I've had in years, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado, citrus, bubbles, orange and apple juice, sparkling water, milk and a selection of yummy Beerenberg jams and marmalade.
Despite the chilly evenings it was toasty warm inside, with the combination of the split system air-conditioner and spirit fireplace. Downstairs there is the kitchen/dining area, a spacious lounge with internet connected television and bathroom with big spa bath. Through the French doors there is also a deck off the lounge, which is a really peaceful spot for a meal or just relaxing with a good book. Up the large staircase to the mezzanine you'll find a huge comfy bed with soft bath robes in the cupboard and a balcony overlooking the creek.
All in all I had a wonderful stay.
Absolutely nothing!

The location is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. There are so many outdoor seating options that allowed us to enjoy the sunshine throughout the day, and we loved cosying up by the fire once the temperatures cooled in the evening! We were also thrilled to spot the resident koala, Beanie, in the garden just outside the cottage… and Beanie brought along a new friend, Boo! The property was also close to a beautiful walking trail, shops, and a selection of eateries where we were able to enjoy some delicious food!

Hosts had great communication, and the home was exceptionally clean and tidy. The property’s location was also fantastic, with all the local restaurants only a minute walk away, despite being very central it still maintained an air of of privacy surrounded by a lovely garden, creek and trees.

The thoughtful touches make this picturesque property a completely comfortable and cosy accommodation.
The bed is very plush and the rainfall shower(over the spa bath) is lovely.
Netflix and the fire make an evening in even more appealing or switch off the TV to enjoy the sounds from the gardens and the creek. Two gorgeous small balconysfor garden gazing.
Excellent communication from hosts.
There is nothing not to like. Aldgate Creek cottage is exceptionally comfortable and the ideal place for a couples retreat.

The location was excellent and the cottage and its surroundings were picture perfect. Our hosts were most agreeable and we particularly enjoyed having Netflix on the TV.
The bathroom was downstairs from the bedroom which was a little challenging in the middle of the night.

Location was spot on, breakfast was from all local produce and was delicious. Dining in and out was very easy.
Netflix dropped in and out, but other than that we didn't spend much time at the cottage to worry us.

The cottage itself was stunning but the surrounding gardens really made our trip magical. Hosts Terry and Fiona were extremely welcoming and warm, and left us with ample food supplies for our stay. It was the perfect retreat in the lead up to our wedding in nearby Norton Summit. We’ll certainly be returning for anniversaries and quiet getaways.
Nothing - it was perfect.
