We loved everything about the place

Es war ein sehr schöner, kurzer Aufenthalt im Cottage. Wir haben sehr gut im Cottage geschlafen. Alles hat ganz wunderbar gepasst. Die Ausstattung - alles da was man braucht.

The close encounter with the kangaroos, emus, hares, deer and your local friendly chooks! Location is perfect! Short drive from Halls Gap and secluded enough for wildlife sightings.
Scent of the fireplace.
The bedroom in the loft is nice.
Kitchen utensils could do with a face-lift (knives were blunt, perhaps have a knife sharpener?)
Shower could be better separated from toilet space to avoid wet floors.

The location is amazing. The staff were friendly and we couldn’t complain about anything.

The cosy log cabin & great fire place with all the kangaroos, emus & deers right outside your front door.

The cottage and surroundings were sublime. I wish we'd booked for longer. The owners have a strong sustainability ethos. The cottage has a lot of character,

Full of rustic charm, clean, comfortable and cosy when cold.
Everything provided and thought of.
Was roomy in mud brick cabin to come back with whole family to stay oneday.
The only thing I could pick.. was lacking a table on verandah for coffee or wine.

The surroundings were beautiful, a nice view from the cabin, a lot of animals.
The barbecue place was very well equipped, and also with a beautiful view.

We were in Mudbrick cabin, it was all great

Everything was wonderful, we enjoyed the cottage and the peace and quiet of the entire area. sharing my morning coffee with the kangaroos was amazing.
we liked everything, would suggest that a ceiling fan is installed in the main room, this would reduce use of aircon!

Loved the outlook at the stone cottage, with all the animals roaming around.
Cleanliness of the house.
Very firm bed in the loft,
Bedrooms get very hot, no aircon.
4.6
peaceful and tucked away from everything
only one bathroom/toilet/laundry for a cottage that sleeps 8 can become a little busy/ uncomfortable for multiple family groups that may share one unit. otherwise quite enjoyable

beautifully set up. beautiful views nice and quiet

Gorgeous spacious cottage with everything you need for a great family holiday. We ate both nights at the shared bbq space with a wonderful view over a field with kangaroos and during our morning walks emu’s were walking around. Its a short drive from halls gap where hikes into the Grampians start. We’d definitely come again.

This is a unique experience. So tranquil. Kangaroos grazing so close - and emus! A step back in time - but the WiFi worked!
There are insects, but oddly enough they didn’t bother us much - that simply can’t be avoided in an old log cottage.

Cottages are in a wonderful wild nature, among kangaroos and cacatoes and rabbits... in front of your windows ! Houses are made with old recycling materials and are very nice. All you need to stay with your family is there. Stay few days, you will be able to enjoy the paths in the Grampians park, Halls Gap, water falls, wineries... !
It's the second time we come, nothing bad to say !

The amazing location, so surreal to see kangaroos, emus and wallabies so close. The cottage was so cosy, everything we needed for a fantastic family getaway.
Nothing to report here!

Cabin was clean, confortable and lovely and cool. The best thing though by some way was the incredible location. Kangaroos hopping past everywhere you looked, emus, deer, parakeets, parrots, all with the grampians as the back drop. Very peaceful, no traffic, we actually cut our walk short so we could sit on the porch with some wine to watch the wildlife and enjoy the scenery.
