Great Atmosphere and beautiful place. Super customer service and facilities were better than expected.
4.1
The bathrooms were super clean! As well as the kitchen. Many fridges for guests to organize their own food. Cozy atmosphere and great location. Bus stops not very far, including if you want to take a city bus from the airport. Staff friendly.
8 beds rooms were a bit crowded.

location and facilities
as we did not have AC in the room we had to sleep with the window open which added some noise, for me not an issue as I sleep with ear plugs and sleeping mask (not sure if this is how you call it in English) but it will be difficult otherwise

Staff and cleaning

Nicest hostel I've ever been. Great equipped kitchen, super clean, with water filter, quiet friendly guests. Free coffee that was very well made and from a good Brazilian brand (Melitta). Huge lockers that fit a 23kg luggage and more! The shared rooms were cooler than the private room because of the sun shining on the room. A lot of guests live there long term. Thank you very very much Marcela (volunteer staff) for going out of her way to help me during a medical emergency!
Nothing about the hostel, but the city. The city was EMPTY, two female guests were robbed with a knife by a drug addict and a creppy old guy kept following me and my friend insisting that we get in his car. We felt unsafe in the city and everything was expensive and dead. Anyway i had a medical emergency and the staff was amazing

The kitchen is very complete, and there is many places to sit down, talk, eat, or relax. Location is pretty nice, with a big supermarket and the beaches close-by.
And the staff great and knowledgeable about Montevideo.
Rooms didn't have many plugs for chargers and stuff

nice staff, there’s a kitchen
someone had left all of their stuff in the room, on my bed and lockers.
none of the rooms can be locked !!
The lockers are really deficient and it’s easy to open them despite a lock. And they’re so small it’s hard to fit any kind of bag in it.
the rooms don’t have windows (!) except for the door that is a window, so they blocked the view from the door with plastic and created a hole in the ceiling (!!) to get light.
bathrooms are shared among everyone.
the neighborhood is full of homeless men (looking like drug addicts) wandering around at night, didn’t feel safe at all.

There was a room with a pool where you could also work with your laptop! Kitchen is well equipped, location is great pretty close to city's downtown! Great because of the distance alone to be clear, not to be confused with any other thing, at nighttime neighborhood is definitely not one to walk while staring your phone screen and distracted of your surroundings..
Don't trust the check-in dates shown here (9am - 17pm currently), staff in the reception starts working at around 11 in the morning! So unless you wanna get in an argument, just don't trust on the hours displayed, even if they confirm the check-in time, staff on-site claims check-in time starts at 14!! Also do not expect support through whatsapp, no1 replies, or phone calls, no1 answers usually.. The staff is friendly though, when they are available! As far of a "hostel" experience, compared with other stays in hostels, this one is more of a pension or residency, don't expect get-togethers, meetings with other fellow travelers, actually most of the people in the "hostel" are in reality living there, working, or students, with already established groups.. unlike a more true hostel experience in where people are a bit more open since no1 really knows each other because they are just travelers. So again overall this is a residency / pension house

There are a lot of common spaces, there is a game room with poll and also a terrace on the top. the room are normal rooms of hostel.
the bathroom was not working properly and it was not flushing.

This hostel was nothing but, a fraud and abuse of the position of power and trust throughout the stay by both manager and certain volunteer workers at the specific hostel, throughout the stay and afterwards. A fraud and false information or a big fat lie in regards to customer services provided based on the price such as the 24/7 reception desk that is in fact and reality, left unattended in addition to the customers, most of the time and the 24 hours of the day. Customers checking into the specific hostel are usually left frustrated outside the property during daytime to be ringing the door bell without any member of staff at the reception desk to open the door to them. Printed screen of phone conversation with one of those customers left to be hopelessly ringing the door bell during check in time and nobody opening the door to them is attached. Also, photograph of the board at the reception desk of students hostel with the announcement that, the reception desk is not 24/7 as advertised and mentioned on booking.com and that specific information on booking.com and website of students hostel is nothing but FALSE , an announcement written by member of staff at the reception desk of specific hostel own person. A fraud or part of the fraud also constituted/s the breakfast that is included in the price of about 500 pesos as, this is way too poor and includes nothing but, coffee, tea, bread , marmelade and dulce de leche. Worst of all is that, social rules and the norm or what is normal and socially acceptable human behaviour do not apply for the manager and certain permanent or long term residents or volunteer workers for a bed at the specific hostel.

Good breakfast. Decent amenities and comfy beds. The staff were super helpful with luggage storage and information. Half hour walk from the main bus terminal. Couldnt ask for anything more for budget accommodation
