Location was stunning from the bedroom.thats it
The main drive loose stone and gravel . Very limited parking had to walk up loose stone and a steep drive to the steps with no hand rail . My wife had lot long had a new hip.it was horrible for her. The main room was rammed with so much furniture you couldn't move .also there is door which is locked in the room which god into next doors house and one up stairs. The bedroom.was lovely but it went over the kitchen next door so when you was in bed and they in kitchen it was horrendous . We had to wear ear plugs to sleep . They was a mouse in the bathroom which my dog was going mental. And under the stairs they was a mouse trap loaded with food ready Will never stay in this house again even if it was free. The access to it and the design of it . Sorry for these remarks. But the host need to start listening. The reviews are not the best . Would I recommend this place no !!!!!!. Not at moment

The location is simply stunning! I could wake up to those views every morning and not get bored. A lovely property with plenty of character, perfect for our family gathering! We had use of the house and the annexe and had plenty of room. The hosts are fantastic and very welcoming, will definitely book again.

Lovely views from the kitchen window. Very nice walk over the hill to Horseshoe falls, the canal and into Llangollen.
Unfortunate location for us as I thought it was in Llangollen, it's 2.5 miles up the hill but there is no pavement so not safe to walk. The slate steps up to the property are precarious. The bathroom and second bedroom are accessed through the double bedroom, so not a good arrangement for us as we were two couples. The kitchen/sitting room has an odd layout, the large sofa is not fit for purpose, it is too uncomfortable to sit on. A few things were broken; there are two shower heads in the shower, one is broken, one is leaking. The food shelf in the fridge is broken. We struggled to operate the kitchen blinds. Shouldn't moan about this but we hurried back to watch the rugby game but the TV did not have ITV.

Amazing little hidden gem stumbled across it a few years back and have stayed every year since the hosts are really helpful and the house itself is beautiful, we really enjoyed the roll top bath the beds are really clean and comfortable the fireplace is to die for and the views are breathtaking. Would highly recommend!

close to Llangollen . plenty of space . warm
The duvets on the beds were a bit thin . The Tin opener was old and didn’t work . We couldn’t park in the allotted space as someone from another cottage was parked in it .

The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. We booked the cottage on the day we wanted to arrive and the host had everything ready for us. The cottage was very clean and cosy.

Beautiful views, hosts friendly, everything worked, great location, clean, pet friendly.
Very steep, uneven and narrow path to drive upto accommodation and then lots of concrete, uneven steps to front door and garden which is communal, not private and has rats. Accommodation was very dated, clean, but not spotless. Patio lovely but not private, right next to other guests, so not very relaxing. Not really suitable for disabled or small children. Local pubs seem to open when they fell like it, so for food and drinks need to drive into Llangollen which is not far. Only walk I could find on site was a overgrown path up hill. Would not go again due to lack of privacy.

Its slightly odd having to go through the bath room to the bedroom

Location was very scenic, peaceful and ideal for walks. Friendly hosts, ideal to get away from the rat race. Bathroom excellent.
Better equipped, no space in kitchen area to put your own food etc. Could add some things like salt and pepper! Ok for 2 over a weekend break but would be impossible for more for longer. Disappointing that the batteries in to remote control weren’t checked before arrival, quite basic but important. Would have been good to have information on local walks and places to visit locally. Quality of towels was very poor. Poor positioning of fridge, couldn’t open the door fully, needed modernisation , couldn’t even stand milk bottle upright. Need to have basic cleaning items, a brush to sweep up would be handy especially when using wood burner. Outside area needed lots of attention.Even a clean up!

The view and the host
Very dirty and dated, had to clean sinks and work tops. Furniture very dated (bed settee in very poor condition) Very few TV stations. Toilet seat and bowl dirty, beds and bedding old. Curtains very bad, fridge horrible and in poor condition. Heating has no controls so very hot rooms. The electric fuse box is in a very dangerous. The place needs a full updating. Not worth the money.

We stayed in the Annexe which was beautiful. Greeted by the hosts on arrival who were very friendly and helpful. Recommended some great things to do in the area and were very knowledgeable. Already recommended this place to a few friends and will continue to do so. So peaceful and beautiful. Will definitely be coming back. Only stayed for 3 nights and felt like there was a lot to do and see. Didn't get enough time to explore but loved what we saw.
Kitchen was very basic and I couldn't find that there was a frying pan, but managed to plan around that and also ate out mostly (don't want to be cooking on holiday anyway). There was nothing that we didn't like about our stay here though, everything was perfect!

Room was as described, the views from the balcony were more stunning than we could have imagined. Absolutely stunning and loved getting away to somewhere so quiet!
The road up to the property was tough- I'm glad my partner drove and not me!

The hosts were fantastic and location was lovely. Just a shame about how the property is portrayed on Booking.com compared to the actual reality when you arrive.
Expectations set far too high from the pictures. It's not as shown on the pictures, no balconies attached to any of the rentals and not really any privacy for any of the bookings because your all lumped together in one house that's been 'split' into several.

The thought I might get a refund.
Tatty furniture, rusty hob rings, food debris on cooker, fridge and plates. Trip hazards in the access walkways. Stained bed and duvet. Dirty carpets and mat. No wifi. Access road damaging to standard family hatchback car.

Views were spectacular
Water was always hot
This property is in a fantastic location, unfortunately it is desperately tired. The pictures on Booking dot com were obviously taken many years ago. Badly stained sofa had a throw on it to hide the fact. Furniture was old and mismatched. Plaster damaged on painted wall over sink and this area also had dirty marks on it. Double bed frame had been repaired where it had broken in the past and the mattress was uncomfortable. Steps down to the garden were very steep and breaking up and were an accident waiting to happen I could go on and I have photos.

The location and views with easy access to walking routes are all great.
The owner was helpful and friendly.
The kitchen needs some TLC and some replacements and the double bed mattress is saggy. The bathroom lights and shower ceiling need attention.
