Villa Tokara is a lovely small hotel that can be warmly recommended. The room is spacious and clean and the host is very friendly. Good restaurants next door or a short walk away. For an additional price you can get a wonderful breakfast.

the owners do everything in their power to make you feel relaxed and comfortable, yet they leave you your privacy. their commitment to perfection in the decoration of the rooms and the maintenance of the garden and grounds is evident everywhere. Arjen cooks up a delicious breakfast!!!
being from Texas I would have loved air conditioning in the main rooms too, but the bedroom was well air conditioned and “open door” living in a climate like Curacao is probably more representative of the house’s rich history and culture.

good location, walking distance from city center and also Mambo beach. pretty easy to get around via car to further away areas.
bed was two single beds pushed together, so that wasn’t the most comfortable sleep I’ve had.

there is absolutely nothing not to like about Villa Tokara! We staying in the two bedroom unit with our 3 and 5 year old. it’s on the main level which was perfect for us. The room, the decor, the style, the cleanliness and the staff is all first class. we used the pool a few times a day and the absolute best part of it was that it’s pretty warm. a lot of outdoor pools are too cold to enjoy once the sun goes down but not here. it’s the perfect temperature at all times. the breakfast (especially the croissants) is unbelievable. the staff was so welcoming and friendly. we felt like we were staying at a friends place. we could walk to all of the best restaurants (which all still seemed to have kid menus!). it’s very safe and very clean. i am so glad we stayed here. oh and the king mattress was heavenly! our kids also slept really well on the two single beds. we were able to move them together (I loved how relaxed the staff was about us moving all the furniture around for our kids) they were super helpful.

Villa Tokara was such an amazing overall experience. From the warm welcome from Ariën and his family, to the incredible decor and comfort of our suite with more than enough space for two. Ceilings at least 15ft high with separate living and sleeping space. King size bed that sleeps very comfortably with chaise and couches for leisure. It has the feel and offerings of a 5 star luxury stay, except without the noise and crowd of others. I would advise to take the option of breakfast in the morning. You will not find another breakfast around to match the quality and love for the value. Overall 10/10 experience and would encourage anyone to choose here over Avila. More value for your money, more space, and a more personal experience. It is less than a 5 minute walk, so the offerings of Avila are still in reach (Beach, dining). Also, Villa Tokara does offer car rentals upon availability so make sure to inquire when making your reservation if needed. Ariën is very responsive if you just send him a message.

Beautiful villa. Clean spacious and quiet
Nothing, all good

Excellent stay, beautiful property, quiet and clean, the owner Arrien is going above and beyond to make sure his guest have all they need to have the best stay possible.
He also offer day trips to Klein Curaçao on his spedd boat, this was a great adventure! It's a much quicker trip than with other sailing boat that let you discover more about the island.
Location is great with access to Avila Beach for 10usd and downtown is a 10 min walk away. There's also great restaurants close to the hotel.
Nothing much to dislike, maybe the beds could be a little comfier but this is a minor point.
Everything is clean and well maintained.
