The location is gorgeous.
The staff was so rude, they denied to park the car there before the check in time at 16:00, charged a lot for bed linen (76€) for just a night, said they would charge more if the cabin wasn’t delivered as clean as we found it, and it didn’t have nor hot water neither a shower.

Location was beautiful
Pictures shown on booking.com did not reflect the cottage we were given (I've attached pictures to show you the cottage that we were given). I complained but they wouldn't move us into a better looking cottage (which was empty). No running hot water. Bathroom smelled like sewer gas (not the hydrogen sulphide or rotten egg smell from the hot water). The field next to the cottage was a nesting ground for birds - which were quite aggressive about protecting their area. I was dive bombed (pooped on and one even jabbed its beak onto the top of my head).
Note about extra charge (which are listed on the advertisement): There is 2,800 ISK charge per person for bedding. There is also a 25,000 or 30,000 ISK charge for cleaning the cottage (or you an clean yourself).

The property was right on a beautiful beach. The sheep on the property were cute. We also got to see the Northern Lights.
Check in was very difficult because no one spoke English. There was no option when we made reservations to order sheets. The property charged us more than we first agreed upon and a lot for the sheets. The cottage was extremely small and had no hot water. There was only a sleeper sofa in the downstairs bedroom. We had to climb a ladder to get to the upstairs bedroom. Once upstairs we had to nearly crawl to get through a doorway to the bedroom.

We slept a little house near the beach with seals and sheeps outside, it was so beautiful

whole cabin to your family with adequate kitchen
rude host and surcharge ($25 per person) linens

This was our favorite stay in Iceland because it felt as though we became a part of the culture and the land. We loved the quaint cottage on the sea! The silence and the beauty were amazing… we sat out and listened to the birds and the surf. The sheep were so friendly we were able to pet them. The hostess shared her stories of what they do on the farm and showed her knitting to us. She was very welcoming and kind. This was truly a wonderful place to experience! An amazing working Icelandic farm where they even make their own electricity! Would love to have stayed there so much longer!!!
The linen should be included in the price.

The location
The cottage's where old and in poor condition
3.4
very remote
The road to the hostel is a cliff road with no barriers and would be problematic for those who have a bad head for heights

Right on the Atlantic Ocean with a mile or more of private beach on a family's sheep farm. Absolutely an amazing place to stay.
The shower area was kind of small and did water did not stay hot very long. ALL else was FANtastic!
3.4
Amazing view, quite and peaceful land. Cozy houses.
The rent of the bedsheets and towel is overpriced(2800kr). We brought our towels and bed cover but still had to rent and pay for the whole pack.
No internet connection inside the apartment at all :/

The place is in a beautiful location.
The host was quite rude. There was no wifi in the house. There was not a bed just a futon and very short bunk beds.

Location was amazing, the cottage itself is old style but very charming! It brings you in a place distant in the space and in the time, the house was amazingly furnished as an old cottage of 1940, we loved it!
Bed linen (pillows/duvets and towels) have to be bought on top of the accommodation rate, and they are not the cheapest. I'd suggest to put the linen cost in the rate of the cottage and give them included in the accommodation.
Lack of hot running water, but it was a minor issue.

We loved this little cottage! loved the solitude and being at the beach even it was rainy and windy, but made it even cozier!
i was worried about this place after reading the google reviews, but i guess they were from people used to different standards.
This is a rustic cottage, not a luxury city apartment.
but to us the views and the coziness were more luxurious than and place in any city.
it is clean, comfortable and with amazing views. we couldnt ask for a better quiet place to stay.
i wish we had more days to enjoy it.
The staff was nice too. dont expect the fake californian smiles and fake compliments. They are correct and there if you need them.
They also make awesome crafts and sell them at their gift shop.
Yes, the price is high, but like elsewhere in Iceland.
If I had to complain about one thing it would just be the having to pay extra per person for bedding, and having to clean the cottage unless you want to pay extra as well.
Everything else was great.

beautiful surroundings, nice people, cozy cottage and conveniently located for our day trips along the peninsula - all we could ask for

Beautiful location, comfortable

Nature was stunningly beautiful and the setting incredible. Access rather difficult and especially as summer sun was lower on horizon, making visibility nearly nil; location is amazing, both for extended stays(recommended) or for a few days as a base to explore the region. The futon was very comfortable, bedding the right weight for the temperature, kitchen supplies were all there, and the noise from migratory birds outside was not very noticeable.
A few things could have been added: a small seat for removing boots at door, a picnic table. We had the smallest of the cabins, really a half cabin for 2-4 people:bunkbed takes up a lot of the space, if for 2. We were unaware beforehand that there’s a cleaning fee; we were charged for bedding, which we did know about in advance and agreed to. I don’t mind having to pay for such things but it is good to know about it ahead of time. However! had I known, I might have not chosen to come here, and despite some setbacks, the sunset was very much worth the extra costs, and treacherous access (think midnight sun, plus reflection of same, in a clear sky and fjord directly in eyes along a narrow, softer gravel track hugging the side of a very steep mountain of loose boulders with an equally steep drop to the sea on your other side and you get the picture), at the end of a long day of driving very difficult roads in the entire Vestfjords region, at that. But so worth it!! I’d do it again, and bring my kids next time, I told the manager(a real Icelandic woman, so, respect that!!!! ) Don’t come late!! For all we know, she could refuse you the key to the cabin and make you turn around and head back along that road, that very narrow, treacherous, boulder-strewn track, hugging “Mt Mordor” and hanging over the cliff edge to the sea below it- with midnight sun blinding you no matter how you attempt to block it- all the way to Patreksfjordur— deceptively close by, yet key word is “deceptively”- and you don’t want that!!!! Come early, stay a second or third, or fifth, day. Come see the terns fighting, hear the teens singing- at the strand nearby, over the fields of long grass, behind a large rock formation, where they gather to sing, to summer. And breathe the amazing sea air. Mixed with the sheep dung - excellent for fending off ghosts(just do not bring your boots- or socks!- with it inside!)

it can be a bit tight for 10 people

The position is very nice.
the apartments (especially the cottage) are below standard of cleaniness and facilities. Shower is missing in the apartment. Security conditions were not met.

Magical beach side location, friendly, helpful and welcoming host, and wonderful little cabin. Would love to return soon.

The location
Services do not include sheets, blankets and cleaning

The cottage had no shower and no hot water, the beds for the kids were actually dusty sofas, one of my children had breathing issues due to the dust. Considering that you have to pay extra for bed linen and cleaning, unless you do it yourself, the place can only be a described as a rip off. I will not even comment on the so called staff. Stay away from this place if you find any alternative, any, in the area.

We loved how cozy the stay was, we slept our best here. The people were so nice and made handmade crafts for the guests to purchase. The views were incredible, both from the cottage and from the private beach that you can walk down to. It was so quiet and peaceful and a great spot for driving to see the Latraberg cliffs. We cooked our own food in the kitchen in the cabin one night and went over to the town across the fjord (about an hour away) the next. It was one of the best stays we’ve ever had!
The birds dive bombed us some in surprisingly close and nerve wracking ways. Also, the roads were a bit nerve wracking with the oncoming cliff traffic, but we kind of appreciated the adventure of that.

Absolutely great locatiom. Remote and beautiful. You can hear ocean from the sleeping loft.
A BBQ would be a good addition. There was a coal BBQ but we did not have coals.
3.4
Great location
Overpriced accomodation
Bedlinen pillow & blankets not included and overpriced as well
Very low water pressure
Heating not working
Slept on a sofabed soooo uncomfortable
WiFi is so low that we can't use it
Don't stop here - it's not worth your money.

Very romantic nature and privacy
Not very welcoming staff. No attention to guests needs
3.4
This is one of the best places for people who loves nature!
3.4
Comfortable, isolated, and quiet. Very beautiful surroundings.
Lack of hot water on tap was annoying.

Cosy house. Great for a family. Stunning location. Had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The windows in a few of the rooms didn’t seal completely, which cooled down the rooms a little.
3.4
Nothing
The owner was very unkind to my girlfriend and shouted whenever we wanted to clarify one point. There was a fungus in the bathroom.
