Wonderful

The best stay I’ve had in a long time

Beautiful interior design. Lovely air conditioned rooms. Loads of different spaces to relax. Fantastic help from Jay Jay who took us to local show, boat excursion and Bora Bora. We will be back! It is paradise.

Just perfect

It was already our second stay here and we loved absolutely everything. And this despite the fact that it rained for most of our time there. Such a beautiful resort and really great value for money. All the dishes of all the meals were so delicious. The beach is just beautiful and all the palm trees and plants make it a wonderful place. And of course a huge shout out to all the incredible staff.

Amazing Staff! Delicious Food! Great Rooms!

Everything was perfect! We previously stayed in another resort in Diani but Pinewood is absolutely wonderful. Staff was professional, friendly, smiling and super helpful. Relations were great and you feel like you are friends or family. Every unit only contains 3 rooms so privacy and silence are respected. Room was fabulously decorated. We spoke to the owner to say that we were impressed by the quality of their staff and that the room was fantastic. Garden and sunbed were super relaxing. Excellent massages in the Amani Spa! Food is delicious! You can enjoy cheese, humous, barbecue, fruits are incredible. In this part of the beach you also have less beach boys so more privacy! You are a bit far than other resorts in Diani but we know that we will come back here if we go back to Diani!

This part of the beach is not the most beautiful but you can walk a bit and enjoy another part.

we only stayed 2 nights, however we had a nice stay.

dinner was great, beach was wonderful, rooms nice and tidy, staff were nice and pleasant.

pool closed at 6, average breakfast but good enough, red wine was just out of a box and they just let it sit in the heat all day, so not enjoyable. very low pressure shower.

excellent hotel can be improved by little changes

the rooms are great, but no amenities. take cotton pads, and face cloth there is none in the bathroom and you can not buy in the hotel. the shops are quite far

the gym is basic. no milk alternatives except Soya

perfect place to relax

This facility keeps what it promises! All rooms are placed in bungalows of 3 units each. The staff tries very hard to fulfill all wishes - our daughter was not only given a cake for her birthday, but also a large serenade. The restaurant alternates between main restaurant - pool - beach, so the ambiance changes daily. The equipment of the area and the rooms is adorned with many gems, which pleasantly stand out from the usual equipment souvenirs. The beach area is also very clean and even the seaweed is removed daily. A perfect hotel to find a few days of relaxation after a safari.

Superb

The location and the access to the beach were amazing and didn’t have annoying people always trying to sell you things, as in other hotels. Everyone was super nice and polite all the time. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There were some daily activities, despite there weren’t many guests at that time. Recommend and would book again.

Breakfast was disappointing for the price of the hotel.

Amazing!

Paradise! Small ,cosy hotel with really domestic atmosphere. Amazing design both interior and outside. Say " very friendly staff" means say nothing! Fantastic food . Empty, beautiful beach . We'll come back definitely!

Exceptional customer service and attention to details, great facilities and very quiet resort!

Pinewoods Resort was a great discovery for us: everything was above our expectations throughout our stay there, from the amazing hospitality of all the staff, to the very neat decorations of the rooms, the delicious and varied meals and all the facilities and extra services available on site. Highly recommended and we will certainly book this place again!

Overall a good stay.

Staff was welcoming and supporting. The Resort is peaceful. Food is excellent.

Maintenance works early in the morning without notice, beach party with music until early hours on Sunday. The Beach Restaurant should manage better the ordering/serving process and reduce waiting time (up to 1 hour!) for the ordered meals.

Superb

The property is small & quiet, the staff are wonderfully attentive staff. The food is excellent. Breakfast & dinners were served buffet-style. Various dinner theme nights were offered throughout the week. Our main floor suite (110) was very spacious and about twice the size of the rooms on the upper level. It included a large (king size) bed with netting, large desk with charging station, coffee table, sofa & stem chair. The back veranda was huge and had a double-sized lounge bed, table & two chairs and a built-in bench. It faced a lush treed & grassy area and was quiet private but no view of beach or ocean.

Lunch service was horrendous. Although the food served at lunch was very good it was ridiculously slow. This was the only meal we paid for daily and was a la carte. The kitchen staff/management need to get things figured out considering the number of cooks they have in full view and that the resort was not even half full. For example, we ordered samosas & a veggie wrap. The drinks arrived within ten minutes. However the food took 65 minutes! Most days our lunch order took 30-45 minutes which is still unacceptable. I feel for the waiters as they tried hard but the food prep was out of their control and they get the negative feedback. Also, the website reference to a swim up pool bar is inaccurate. They only serve ice cream & milkshakes at the pool even though the bar space is there.

Lovely hotel with direct access to the beach

Wonderful hotel, sensational service. Beautifully situated right on the beach. Excellent food. Spacious, well equipped rooms. Lack of TV with Netflix, which actually could be seen as an asset, as we spent evenings on the beach. We were fortunate that there were no organised groups from travel agents at the hotel during our stay, so the property even had a boutique feel. However, advertisements for organised groups were visible in the hotel, arguably then the hotel would have been more crowded.

Window in the bathroom should have a mosquito net. It is apparent that the facility will slowly need to be refreshed.

Size - small. Location - ideal. Staff - wonderful. Landscaping and facilities quaint and charming. Food was lovely. Privacy was respected.
