aanrader als je van gezelligheid houdt en niet te veel luxe verwacht.

ligging, dichtbij de Botanic garden voor wandelingen. Veilige buurt, en de locatie was erg huiselijk. Samen aan de ontbijttafel. erg gezellig, je maakt snel contact met de andere bewoners. heerlijk zwembad erbij!

beetje verouderd maar dat vinden wij niet erg.

Vrai maison d’hôte au cœur de Newlands

L’emplacement est vraiment top , un quartier certes moins touristique mais ultra agréable dès le matin , avec de nombreuses personnes se promenant , les écoles aux alentours et de magnifiques maisons

Superb

The host (Sarah) was very lovely: helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and the large bed was perfect.

We needed to 'steal' another blanket from another (not in use) room. I am sure Sarah would have given us one, though!

Tranquil stay in lush surroundings.

Stunning area to stay in. Lovely walks nearby. Sarah and John were wonderful hosts.

The door to our room opened right onto the dining/ breakfast area.

Highly recommended accommodation in Cape Town.

We had three nights at the Newlands Guest House, our experience could not have been better. Sarah & John are excellent hosts, It felt like home. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious. Secure parking. Many excellent restaurants within walking distance. Great location nestled behind the majestic Table Mountain.

Everything was perfect.

The guest house is ideally situated close to the M3, and we would stay there again.

Ideally placed to get into the city centre very quickly. Good restaurents are close by in that area. It is also very quiet and restful at night. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful.

The extra size double bed in the room needs the mattress to be be replaced soon.

It was satisfactory and would have improved with time, I'm sure. It was a brief, overnight stay

Sarah is a lovely host and I actually enjoyed engaging her on her past travels and what have you... I appreciated her waiting up for me - and welcomed me in person - she tried to accommodate my needs. I liked the location - within a walking distance to shops and other amenities

1. I was disappointed with the lack of spread or options for breakfast; above all else I did not anticipate a hospitality outfit not to have a back-up, given the electricity situation in RSA. I had to settle for cold toast left-over from early diners. ......not acceptable. At night, guests have to make do with small lamps during loadshedding. 2. The quality/comfort levels of the bed linen need to improve

A home from home with incredibly friendly hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are roomy and comfortable with en-suite facilities. As a vegan family, we were catered for at breakfast with a lovely spread of fruit, toast, avocado, fried tomatoes and mushrooms - delicious. We were also provided with plant milk and spread. All very much appreciated.

Sarah was great. Pick-up from the airport was arranged. We were welcomed in the middle of the night. Breakfast was great. Were were helped with advice and also booking an uber. Nothing was too much. And it was a very pleasant and joyfull stay with Sarah and the other guests. I recommened this strongly

A nice guesthouse for a relaxing weekend in the green area of Cape Town

The familiar atmosphere is like visiting friends. We enjoyed the breakfast at a table for all guests as a community. A relaxing pool area is really refreshing on hot summer days. The walking distance to "Foresters Arms" , a wonderful old Pub, and the Newlands Brewery is perfect. The accomodation is in a nice and green area, where you can walk safely and restaurants and the Botanical Garden Kirstenbosch are close by.

There was no light for loadshedding in our room. I missed a hairdryer.

The convenience of the location, and the Newlands area are a positive influence to stay there again

Location is good, breakfast was good, owners were very friendly and helpful

There was no aircon, or even a fan, in the room, and Cape Town was suffering extreme heat (37 deg C), so it was a hot night's 'rest'. Also a group of guests continued their noisy 'party' next to the pool until well after 10pm.

A fabulous, friendly, comfortable green oasis, representing wonderful value for money.

Sarah and John are the most delightful hosts. They helped happily and accurately with every query. Sarah was able to help us with extra days accommodation which was much appreciated as the guest house is deservedly popular. This oasis of calm in a busy world represents great value for money. Newlands Guest house is set in the most wonderful green garden, with views of the mountain and a great pool area. It’s so well located for all jumping off points to explore the delights of Cape Town and further afield. We are sad to be leaving but will assuredly be back.

Welcoming accommodation in Newlands

Very comfortable beds, good shower. Excellent location within walking distance to restaurants. Friendly host. Appreciated info on load shedding times, a rechargeable light in room will be appreciated. Our second stay, will stay again.

Sarah was simply lovely, everything was fine, breakfast, room and service. Gentle people and nice place. her husband help us and made a booking for us in a restaurant. the dog is so friendly like all the family🥰

This is a family run cute nice little place. I liked the family atmosphere. Breakfast was done with love and rooms very very well kept. Its in the nature and the place is very quiet.

Sarah & John were really great hosts. They were so welcoming and friendly. They made us feel at home. They were so helpful in terms of where to go and how to get there in CT. The place is also very neat.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. We really enjoyed our stay there. We were taken care of even during loadshedding.

Wholesome and relaxing

Perfect stay if you want to relax, go for a hike and enjoy the sounds of nature, or enjoy a hearty meal at the nearby 'gardeners cottage' restaurant. Sarah was the best host!! Very helpful and friendly. Spacious and comfortable rooms with shared access to garden and pool.

Alcis Road Newlands

Very quiet and near to shops and restaurants. The breakfasts were excellent. The ensuite room was clean.

I stayed in the smallest room and I expect they do not get many single guests. It could do with a new carpet and a new bath towel.
