Great location, modern, clean, full kitchen. Quiet (on my side of the building, not sure about the front rooms) except when other guests slam doors. The property was SUPER responsive to requests for maintenance or more kitchen items.
I thought it was expensive for what it is - a small room with a shared bathroom. The TV was basic (no Netflix) and most of the satellite channels were in Portuguese. But fine if only there for a day or two (I was there longer). Note that there is no elevator.

This hotel is beautiful. It feels more like staying in a home, but with total privacy. I was on the 2nd floor facing the street, my windows opened onto the street and I could see the beautiful church at the end of the road. There were wonderful black out blinds and curtains. The bed was firm and comfy. The room was well decorated, with night stands on either side of the bed, and two chairs creating a seating area by the windows.
There was a huge closet. The bathroom I shared with one other room (there were two rooms on my floor). The bathroom was spacious and spotless throught my stay.
The kitchen was fully equipt for cooking, with a full size refridgerator and even a washing machine.
The livingroom (on the 1st floor, was really nice, bright, with a big TV comfy couch and chairs.
The access codes were easy to use, and you didn't have to worry about loosing any keys.
The only thing that I would make me hesitate to stay here again is the two restaruants on either side of the entrance at street level are open until 2am on the weekends, so for light sleepers, request a room facing the back. Thankfully I had my headphones and noise machine app to help me drawn out the chatter.

We really enjoyed the total house situation. Not only did we have a comfy bedroom but also a rrlaxing living room with the balcony and a good kitchen, complete with washer and dryer. The location is fantastic, right next to the Se Cathedral. Even though a festival was happening on the streets, the bedroom was quite soundproof, and we slept well. The owner was very kind and texted to see that we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Braga.
All good 😊

I have to start with the owner, Jacqueline; she’s a wonderful human being and a very welcoming and generous hostess.
I loved how well situated the property is to all the historic centre has to offer. It is however right in the heart of the cafe / bar scene, so be mindful if you’re wanting a super quiet city break.
The communal lounge was tastefully decorated and relaxing to spend time in. The bedroom I stayed in was cosy and spacious enough for me to feel well and even do some Pilates!
The communal kitchen has the basics for cooking light meals, and would be excellent with some pots / pans upgraded and a few more utensils added to the mix.
There’s a communal washer and dryer for those wanting the convenience of doing their laundry.
The communal bathrooms and all shared areas were cleaned daily by the efficient cleaning team, and they were always clean no matter what time of day I used them.
Lack of soundproofing (a real challenge for most Portuguese properties) meant that noise (especially at night) was amplified whether from within the rooms, the shared bathrooms or other communal areas.

It feels like home. Comforting, quiet & immaculately clean. Thank you.

Great location, beautiful rooms, quiet. You will be on the street with the oldest cathedral in Portugal.
We had difficulty getting into the property because of our late arrival and also late booking. But eventually the staff responded and was very helpful. I would stay here again.

Awful experience, very dirty place. Don't waste your money.
The bed wasn't changed from previous guests, full of hair and dirty cloths. The energy failed all night, how this is possible for the price you are paying? Leaving room very cold, no heating system. Do not recommended.

nothing
Terrible service and highly unprofessional.
We booked a twin bedroom with balcony and we got a very dark room in the attic with a small window, feeling very claustrophobic .
The property blamed booking and booking blamed the property. Nobody took any responsibility for the situation. The second night we got the initial room that we booked but was facing a street with clubs and bars so it was very noisy, in the end we went back to the sad room in the attic for being more quiet. The duvet in the room had blood stains, very superficial cleaning, dust on the furniture and we even asked for a warm duvet because one of the beds didn’t have any which we didn’t get, the host asked to use the AC on reverse for heating. Lol.
Now I want to point out several things:
- very poor quality service provided by both booking and the host in handling the situation.
- Booking asked me to wait 24h to solve this when my reservation basically was ending. So in all my honesty I used different platforms like airbnb who handled situations like this in a perfect manner, if you get something else than advertised, they help you find a more suitable place . Here booking and the property handled this very very poorly.
- There was no information that this property is located in one of the busiest street with plenty of bars and pubs making it very difficult to rest. There are rooms on the other side but this was never mentioned when booking the rooms.
- When we chose to remain in the worst room, the host used it as an excuse to not proceed with the refund for their mistake. Here I need to make it clear : I chose to rest, I didn’t choose the room for any other reason, still that room is more than depressing.
- Felt so uncomfortable that I took the first train at 4 am back home.
I DO NOT recommend this property. At all.

Everything was incredible, the room was beyond amazing.
The check out ladies for the cleaning were super insistent, 10 min before they’re on the door asking how much time we gonna be in.. and repeatedly.

Fantastic location in the centre of Braga, staff were extremely communicative and helpful, especially when my flight was delayed and I arrived a whole day late. Bathroom was cleaned everyday and room was clean and comfortable.

Very well located, clean and comfy.
The room had AC and there was a nicely equipe de kitchen with a washing machine.
From my bedroom wall I could hear the water pipes when someone was using the shower.

the property is very clean and pretty, it feels like home, you can use the kitchen, living room, washing machine and clothes dryer. the air conditioning is working perfectly. the owner of the share house allows you to drop off your luggage early. it’s self check in progress, owner of this property contacted me multiple times beforehand to ensure I know how to access the property. the prices is in high value, location is perfect, right next to se cathedral. A lot of restaurants underneath the property but they don’t make any noise. the sound proof windows are working fine. highly recommended!
nothing. everything is perfect!

Terrific location, fantastic and kind communication, loved the complementary towels and the sofa in the room, nice closet with plenty of hangers, absolutely loved the fast-acting and refreshing AC unit, very nice shared areas, quiet and clean, decently sized bed, nice sink and shower and always had abundant hot water, never felt like the bathroom being shared was a big deal at all, in fact, I almost felt like I had the entire guesthouse to myself during most of my stay!
Only things I didn't like, but are by no means big deals, was a lack of hand soap after my fourth day that was not replenished, a lack of body wash for showering (although the free shampoo was very nice), and perhaps my biggest "gripe", being given nice body towels and smaller face towels, but no washcloths with which to shower with (I had to use my hands directly). These are minor quibbles though for what was ultimately a lovely stay, and I would stay here again if I'm ever back in Braga!

great location, kind host
my room was just above a bar, directed on the noisy street until very early morning hours, so I don’t recommend it for a weak sleeper like me. Ask for a quieter room. the rest was superb.

Central location, friendly staff and clean communal area. There were only four rooms to share the three toilets (2 have showers). Very good value for money. The host was very helpful and accommodating.
I felt that someone prior to my stay smoked in the room so the room smelt like tabaco.

The location was more than perfect - one minute to Se (Cathedral).
It was my first contactless checking in and out, it was quite ok to communicate via WhatsApp - response in a timely manner :)
Prior to checking in, there were a number of messages through Booking.com, email and WhatsApp (duplications).
Regarding cleaning, …mould around the window and … a drain in a shower room etc. etc…
And there was no hairdryer- the WhatsApp help desk apologetically explained to me that it was not replaced since broken a few days ago…
The kitchen and the shower room themselves were ok, but I was not sure what belongs to someone… Or I could use e.g. shampoo etc.
All ok for my one night stay, though :)

Right in the old city centre, good isolation from the noise, huge beds, very clean and the colours of the room are eye-soothing. The cleanliness of the shared bathroom depend much on the guest you share it with. Thankfully, the landlady was kind enough to ask the other guests to keep it clean from their stuff. It is equipped with sanitizer and shower gel and shampoo.
No hairdryer in the shared bathroom.

Great design, I liked having a kitchen, washing machine and dryer.
Shared bathrooms... Some guests are better than others

Location is unbeatable. I've never rented a room in a shared house as decorated and clean as this guest house. Before heading out, I had a work meeting in the shared living room and was left without being interrupted at any point, despite people starting to wake up and move about the house - just because the living room is so spacious.
The front door needed a good push and many attempts to open, it looked like I was breaking into the house. The bathroom door's latch got stuck in the closed position a couple of times, I had to take breath before attempting to leave. It was also a bit noisy for a minute at night, as the room doors have no isolation other than the wood.
