Beautiful pub ina great location

Helpfulness of staff was great, our room hadn’t been cleaned properly and this was immediately dealt with.
Food was excellent.
Relaxed atmosphere.
Initial bathroom wasn’t great.
4.3
DINNER was great, very well presented.
BREAKFAST - This was a bed and breakfast booking but only included a continental breakfast. When you wanted a cooked "English" breakfast you had to pay more, which I felt was a bit deceptive. You are either bed and breakfast or you not.
PRICING - slightly over priced for what it was.

It’s a good location with lots of nice walks, well decorated communal areas. It would be good in the winter, as it had a nice cosy vibe.
On booking.com’s website it says that no pets are allowed, I love dogs but not when they are in the restaurant barking through every meal and for 2 hours at night! It sadly ruined our stay, the hotel is split into two (dogs & no dogs) but this is not clear on booking.com which is disappointing. The bedrooms are OK but you can hear everything from other rooms and the bathrooms are old.

Beautifully appointed, the Large Pub room was superb, even had a radio playing Music quieting background , bar was excellent, food was superb .
Special mention to Harry who checked us in and was very friendly and helpful.
Price of beer at £7.45 a pint , a bit pricey

Absolutely loved our stay! The staff go above and beyond to make you comfortable and the rooms are so beautifully decorated, well apportioned and so comfortable.
Wish we could’ve stayed longer

Dan the manager was unbelievable! So helpful, so welcoming, we wanted for nothing. He really is a massive asset to the pub. All the staff were also fantastic. We had an absolutely delicious supper and breakfast. The pub was beautifully decorated, both our rooms were gorgeous and really very comfortable.
We have stayed in a number of different places in Dorset, due to where are children are at school and I can honestly say we haven't found anywhere better.
The village is also very very pretty. And an added bonus is Teals Somerset, a fantastic farm.shop 10 minutes from.the pub.
I can't recommend The Queens Arms more highly.
Nothing.

Everything was exceptional staff very friendly food was excellent room clean and such a comfy bed had the best nights sleep ever used to work there it has changed somewhat since the 70s but a vibrant energy I felt was present

location,improvements, good kitchen, terrific staff
didn’t honor room reservation and while the room given was comfortable it had a stained carpet - from dogs I presume. And no place to seat.

A pretty location although as the address was Sherborne I had thought it was in the town. Bed and bathroom were fine, nice outside space.
IThere was a large stain on the bedroom carpet, not very welcoming, also on the corridor carpet outside. We could not believe there was no hanging space for clothes - I have never stayed somewhere where I had to hang clothes on the back of the door. I asked the manager about it and he said none of the rooms had wardrobes. However, I saw the room opposite had plenty of hooks and hanging space. Perhaps we were given the worst room, no. 4 - although I had booked many weeks ago. Also one of the emails I had said it I had a King room, which it was not. Also extra was charged for more tea and coffee with breakfast, and for a cooked breakfast. At £180 a night, this should be included. The continental breakfast had very limited cereals and fruit, no muesli, plums and pears rock hard. I do not know what the five stars are for. As we were unable to find anywhere nearby to buy a newspaper on the Saturday before going to a wedding, I asked on the Sunday morning first thing if I could have the Saturday Times from the hotel (was happy to pay for it) but was told it had gone to recycling. Surely it could have been taken out of recycling? Staff not very helpful. A partial refund would be appropriate.

Average- no bananas, no muesli but ok
Limited staff numbers in the morning.

Room was lovely and clean and the staff were lovely.
No desk or anywhere to use as a desk for working. No where to keep milk and I left each day before it was delivered to the room. One evening had to wait almost an hour for dessert. Had to leave without breakfast too as it didn't start until 8am.

Lovely dining room. Excellent staff. Great menu and beautifully cooked food.
Would be nice to have more comfortable seating areas.

The pub was warm and welcoming. I was looked after well. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. I had a very comfortable night with excellent food for dinner and breakfast. I will go again.

The pub has a great ambience, warm welcoming staff, excellent food and a comfortable room. It is good value for money.
Nothing!
4.3
It’s a very pretty pub, beautifully decorated and with an excellent team running it. The bedroom was perfect, a very comfortable bed and lovely touches - like fresh milk was delivered to our door before we woke up so we could have real milk in our coffee before breakfast.
Rather squeaky door along the corridor. WD40 oil needed!
4.3
Fantastic place to stay. This is a newly refurbished hotel and has been decorated with flair and style. The soft furnishings are superb!
This hotel is also strongly into sustainability, so furnishings, food (fantastic quality) and toiletries (wonderful smell and all natural) are all locally sourced.
Would stay again without a second thought.

All things were excellant

Space in room ok. Good views from window. Quiet location.
Lacked storage in bedroom and ensuite. Shower was only hand held and difficult to use. Water went everywhere. Only ate in restaurant the first night as menu was very limited and expensive. Breakfast buffet very limited and lacked tongs to pick up items ie. croissants. Cooked breakfast came with items missing on two occasions. Had to ask for bed linen to be changed when it was marked. We booked 8 months in advance and they took all the money upfront even though we could cancel for no charge up to two weeks before we went.

Incredibly beautiful building and location. Lovely outside courtyard.
Staff were exceptional.
Very comfortable bed.
I appreciate that this is a pub with rooms and very good value for money.
please put a mirror and/ or a dressing table.
It happens all the time. There is nowhere to sit and do your hair and makeup.
The food was a little on the average side. For example, the burger was extremely dry.
4.3
Very good breakfast
Dinner not enough variety on the menue
4.3
Beautiful location. Quality hotel.
Dining experience slightly disappointing. Staff could have been more attentive.
