The cleanliness was great. We could easily walk to the bus to go anywhere. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around. Also a Boots and Tesco nearby. It was not located in the touristy/ busy/ expensive part of town.
It was hot (I’m American and I like my air conditioning) so it was hard to sleep. The bed was too soft for my preference.

Close proximity to tube station and other attractions.
Staff did provide an iron and board for my shirt when requested.
Able to leave bags at the hotel after checkout to continue exploring the area before departure.
Generally unmotivated and unhelpful staff. Housekeeping continued to leave the room door half unlocked despite requests to reception and housekeeping staff to lock it/leave it as they find it.
50% of power sockets not functioning and another was hanging out of the wall, as was the ceiling light.
Only one tea/coffee cup provided despite a booking for 2 people. No further mug provided despite requesting one.

Room was basic but fine for a quick theatre stop in London. Beds were comfy and the shower was small but good water pressure. Nice big room with a large window onto the garden and surprisingly quiet overnight given that you are right in the heart of London. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Location was fantastic and rate was so reasonable given location.
The fan wasn't great but we happened to stay on the hottest day of the year so far so that probably wouldn't normally matter! No Aircon - which wasn't advertised but is probably worth bearing in mind if you are staying in the summer months.

It was close to where I needed to be for work
It was filthy, There was a dead bird stuck inside my window. Thick dust and dirt everywhere, Plug sockets hanging off the wall. It felt like I was staying in an old people’s home - aged mismatch furniture.
Honestly the worst place I have ever stayed.

Good price and good location. The staff were pleasant. generally it was ok.
It was one of the hotter days of the year. There was no air conditioning and the window was nailed shut. A fan was provided, but it wasn't very powerful and was no good for 3 sharing a room.

Very helpful and friendly staff and ideal location: close to St Pancras and in a nice area
Hotel urgently needs a face lift. Owner told us that is indeed planned and will start as soon as planning permission is approved.

Nothing. The best thing about the property was leaving it and going to another hotel near by
The property was dated like something from the 1980’s, the room was disgusting, there were flies in the room, black long hairs on the pillow, marks on the pillows, the shower stank of urine, the curtain pole was snapped in two, cracks in the ceiling and a lampshade hanging by a thread. The door looking like it had been kicked in a few times and plastered over continuously. I complained about the first room and gave the reception a chance to rectify the issue. I was shown to a room that could only be compared to a dungeon. For the money I paid for the room for two nights it’s worth paying a bit extra for value for money. I regularly use booking.com and this hotel is the worst I’ve seen by a country mile. The management have told booking.com I won’t be compensated because they offered me another room that still wasn’t liveable

Wonderful location 🤩👍🏼👍🏼
Short walk to Soho, Covent Garden and Oxford Street, etc.
I didn’t like the carpet in the room. It didn’t look clean.

Location was great!
Room and bathroom was quite dirty. There was so much mould on the bathroom ceiling!

Location
Dirty, mold on the walls in the bathroom, dirty sheets

I was not told there was breakfast!
Bed was comfortable.
Bathroom was adequate.
There was no remote with the TV, so I couldn't use it. Reception was way downstairs. This was not a hotel. I'm not sure what to call it.

Needed a room night before early hospital admission in London, budget was really tight for whole trip. Single room booked. Window didn't open. Toilet didn't flush. In desperate need of a make over. Was moved to a room upstairs, slightly more presentable.
Mould, windows that wouldn't open, toilet didn't flush. 2nd room bathroom was less mouldy but shower head didn't have a holder. Wouldn't use shower away

Location
Noise all the time, no soundproofing from the inside or the outside, overall cleanliness, no shade from light

Basic, comfortable accommodation
Pity they don't serve breakfast any longer

The only positive of this hotel is the location.
The room was very dirty with mould and dust growing on the doors, walls, carpet, shower etc. and the room was in a basement behind a fire door which required some skill to open the door at the same time as holding the fire door open! We have stayed in numerous hotels booked through booking.com and trust them, but this hotel was absolutely filthy and cramped with no amenities at all. Booking.com need to remove this hotel from their website!

absolutely great location for kings cross and also soho/ Mayfair.
rooms were fairly small but tbh it isn’t a massive issue.

Outside window of this 4 beds family room you can see green tree (even on February!). It is pretty quiet so you can hear birds early in the morning. I was pleasantly surprised.

location
It is more a hostel than a hotel.
Rooms are like shoe boxes
Furniture is tired and needs replaced
Was cold during the night and in the morning
I saw 2 staff who were just rude
on the positive - good shower and good location but try the Gower Hotel 2 doors up, stayed there previously and it’s much better!!!

The location was good, and the stuff were ok, did their best
The hotel itself- it is old, the walls are very thin- at one night my neighbor returned to his room at 4am, I heard everything- the keys, the noise from the shower - even the TV- like it was in my room.
Other than that- at the begining they put us in the rooms at the top floor- the water there weren't hot enough and almost no water pressure, me and my daughter changed the next night to a room at the 1st floor- there the water were beter, but still- the carpets of the room were old.. and the walls so thin as I mentioned...
the stuff did their best though.

The location was convenient for us. In general, our stay was fine.
Rooms are very very small, specially the bathroom. It's ok for a short stay.
2.8
location ok
was in a basement type room it did have a window but kept curtain closed due to the outside view only room in that part of hotel through a fire door not the best experience

I like location, very close by British Museum- That was all what I liked !
I didn't like staff, they change the room with another smaller in an attic, and I was told that I was given that room because I booked through Booking. It was the second time when I heard that , so Booking should take action. Dirty bathroom, unwashed tub. A very high price compared to what they offered, especially since they changed our room - On what criteria?
2.8
Near to everything like resto, pub, grocery, shop, train and buses
To warm in the room, Toilet size and toilet ventilation was to noisy evertime we will use it.
