Diverse range of delicious food from European to Asian choices. The fresh crusty loaves of bread were yum as were the Asian Thai soup bar choices
Couldn’t fault anything

An incredible resort. The staff were wonderful and super helpful (especially with dietary requirements). Highly recommend downloading the resort's app, where you can see a range of interesting daily activities the resort puts on, as well as the history of the area, ordering room service etc etc. We went slightly on off-season so it was quiet but the beach feels very private. We had a great stay here.
The prices for extras were Western and quite steep. The food and cocktails were delicious, and the spa was lovely, but they came at a price! It is expected at a resort like this, but it does add up!

We’ve been to Santiburi in Koh Samui a number of times, the location, beach and layout are great, but it’s the staff that make this place exceptional.

Perfect honeymoon stay. Clean and crystal clear water at the beach! Stunning property with gardens and facilities well maintained. Excellent breakfast every morning. We will be back for sure!
Rooms are slightly older and could do with a refresh but are large and comfortable. We stayed in a garden villa with plunge pool.

The beach was amazing with possibility for long walks.
Not all hotels in Koh Samui have such a nice beach - great sand and great for swimming and kids friendly.
As one of the first luxury hotels on the island, the hotel is situated in one of the best parts of Koh Samui - incredible garden and beach.
The beachfront villa was amazing and just next to the beach. It is the more expensive option, but I highly recommend it.
The food at the beachfront restaurant was also excellent and there is a nice selection of fresh fish for lunch, but you can also reserve a fish for dinner. It is amazingly delicious, prepared whole, steamed using Thai herbs like ginger & lemongrass.
The free ice-cream every day was much appreciated by our daughter.
The hotel is also not far away from the Fisherman's village (nice restaurants and bars, marketplace every Friday evening) and not that far away from the Buddhist temples Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai) & Wat Plai Laem.
You can order a taxi by Grab mobile app (similar to Uber) or a hotel car (a little bit more expensive).
I highly recommend this hotel to both couples and families.

Beautiful landscaping and grounds. Friendly bellman. Kids club was large and well equipped and there’s a playground with a trampoline. On a great strip of beach. Very nice spa that is reasonably priced. Nice ambience of the beach bar with dining on the beach. Had all the amenities you would expect. Happy hours at good times.
Doesn’t feel like a 5 star resort, because service was hit or miss. Staff at the beach and breakfast/beach bar were a little rude.

Rooms are spacious, hotel is not far from the airport. The beach is ok.
Rooms are in desperate need for renovation. Very old & dark. The pool is super old and not nice, same for most of the restaurants and there is not much else around the hotel. Some of the staff were quite rude or hadn’t a clue about what’s going on. Some were ok though. Breakfast buffet is mediocre at best. Way too expensive for what it is. Lots of nicer beaches are further away from the hotel.

Amazing Hotel! Wonderful kind & very helpful staff, just the most relaxing fun hotel you could wish for. The restaurants were all excellent. The golf course is stunning & the caddies improve uour game!
The transport from the hotel was expensive.

The first 5 star resort on the island, and it shows in that the property is a better piece of land than any of the others we checked out. The privacy, isolation, space, and quiet all eclipse that of resort properties closer to the airport. We stayed 3 nights in the beach-side villas, very nice. Staff and breakfast were high end as one would expect.
The concierge desk was not informed about basics like where to rent a scooter (they sent me to a repair shop, then a scooter sales shop, very disappointing) and where to get laundry done. The folks didn’t really seem to understand the unique role of a concierge.

the staff were great. always ready to assist with anything. the chef at breakfast went out of his way to make us comfortable considering our dietary requirements.
lack of Halaal food options. the amenities at the resort especially the food is very pricey for a family.

slightly outdated. requires a proper concierge for a 5 star. very friendly staff. good breakfast. great facilities for kids. excellent two bedroom suite with daily fruit. the property requires freshening up. mae nam beach was great - quiet and very clean private beach. only one beach house restaurant on the resort.

Too high prices in the restaurant and too small meals for children in the kids menu

Nice & relax resort to calm down…
Our Villa room with pool was excellent!
Really open & spacous place, hence the name “Santiburi” translated as a “Village of Happiness”
There was only one restaurant for dinner… with “limited “choice and also the dishes should be brouhght & presented better. As a result we went often for dinner in the Fisherman’s Village, a 10min drive from the hotel.

Looks like The hotel and staff are on top of everything.
Don't think twice about booking it
All was excellent, one thing I'd recommend is to make the outside guiding boards more visible,
It's easy to get lost at night time.

everything was first class - especially the beach and the staff!

A beautiful, relaxing resort with spacious rooms. The resort facilities including gym, pool, spa, tennis courts, beach and water sports were all top notch. The resort offered a huge number of activities each day and we enjoyed a local tour of the food market, a jungle trek and a Thai massage class, just to name a few.
The staff were extremely accomodating, and were very helpful in booking in activities, sorting out reservations and organising transfers.
The breakfast buffet was great, as were evening cocktails and meals.
- The resort had quite a few mosquitos
- The resort is quite established, and while this meant it had great gardens, it also meant the rooms were not as modern as other hotels we stayed in at Koh Samui

Superb location, picture postcard private beach, very family friendly, beautiful room with thoughtful extras (e.g. beach bag, indoor and outdoor slippers) -- and we got a room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise
The only downside was the food - it was tasty but there was not enough variety for longer stays
