Great place to stay on the water in Chania’s Olld Town.

This is a lovely hotel housed in a historic building from 1645! My room was a perfect size for a solo traveler. There is a very nice cafe on the first floor and outside. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stunning room and great location.

The old building was beautifully maintained, loved the common inner terrace and the room was stunning. The view was also a highlight, even though the balcony was not overlooking the lighthouse. Eva

The check in is very late and the check out too early. This has to stop because it is extremely inconvenient or I would suggest lowering the price significantly.

The staff is excellent, and the breakfast is very good

Our room is way too small for a couple. There is nowhere to walk or place suitcases. The bathroom is updated. Also, we would hear people walking above us, very disturbing when late at night. Walls very thin, smells musty.

Perfect place to stay in Chania

The location was perfect- prime position right on the edge of the old harbour, next to the Maritime Museum. View from our room VII was wonderful - loved relaxing and watching the world go by from our balcony. There were a few flights of stairs to climb to get to our room so wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues but was worth the climb ( building is old so doesn't have a lift) The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. Bathroom products were excellent quality. Staff were welcoming and breakfast delicious. Loved being right in the old town - so lovely to wonder in the twisting little streets Very happy I chose this hotel

Romantic and authentic hotel

The location and the view of the hotel were wonderful - next to the water but also close to cafes, restaurants and shops. It felt very tranquil and romantic to stay there. The room is clean and the decorated elegantly. Loved that the room and bathroom were also very spacious. The breakfast meals and drinks selection was diverse and delicious. Eva and the staff made us feel very welcomed and I can only recommend staying over at this beautiful and authentic hotel.

One can hear noise from outside but it did not actually bother us.

Fabulous!!

Everything about Alcanea Boutique Resort. We had a lovely one night stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Check in by reception was easy and we were given a lot of helpful information to make our stay in Chania enjoyable. We recommend this hotel and will stay there again if we return to Crete.

Nothing to not like about this resort. It was fabulous.

Historic property with modern amenities in great location.

Beautiful historic property on the edge of the Venetian port. Quiet location near the busy streets close to shops and good restaurants. Room clean, bed comfy washroom very modern. Hosts welcoming and took the time to orient us to the property and surrounding area. Would love to stay again. Tasty breakfast included in room rate. Short 20 minute taxi ride from airport approximately 30 Euros.

A wonderful memorable experience.

Excellent location and stunning views of the harbour and lighthouse wrapped up in old world charm. However, what made this place so special and memorable were the personable, kind and helpful staff. Breakfast was a delightful delicious adventure, Greek coffee, local specialties and fresh squeezed orange juice. Just a wonderful boutique gem. I hope one day to return and will certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Chania.

Great staff, the added value to an amazing hotel

Not only the place has great rooms and excellent location but it is managed by the most professional and caring team we have yet met in our travels. We felt so much at home thanks to Eva, Aleka and Marina that we actually extended our stay three times. Totally recommended, looking forward to coming back!

This boutique hotel is absolutely delightful in every way! The location is perfect, the views are stunning and the property has a unique character and personality. The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly, nothing too much trouble! Chania port is stunning with many beautiful properties, yet if we were to return we would look no further than Alcanea Boutique Hotel! Would highly recommend, 5 stars from us!

Great location, beautiful hotel!

The location right on the harbor was why we chose the hotel and we weren’t disappointed! We had a wonderful view from our balcony. The hotel is a beautiful historic building with traditional furnishings but we were very pleased that the bathroom was surprisingly modern with a very large rain shower head and lots of hot water. The bed was comfortable and the room was was spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast outside with view of the harbor. The location was so convenient for walking around the old central part of Chania. We loved it!

Ok…the parking. If you arrive by car, be prepared to drive around looking for a parking space on the street somewhere, possibly some distance from the hotel. However, this would not prevent me from staying here again.
