Location, great restaurant and cleaning staff.
Old Sargassum filled beach, the weekend manager (don’t remember his name) was unresponsive and careless of issues that came up during my stay. Water pressure was poor and some times no water at all in the facility.

The room and location was great. The restaurant and food was awesome. I would have liked air conditioning, and a blow dryer in the room, otherwise it was great! I would come back.
No AC

Location
On the first day there was no warm or hot water plus the water pressure is extremely low and was very hard to shower. There was mold in the room and it was humid which Made it hard to sleep, the bed was uncomfortable. There were bed bugs and mosquito. The included breakfast was just bread, 2 or 3 mini croissant ,fruits and juices

Their food is always amazing, I used to live in Tulum and this was one of my regular spots I would come to. Very quiet compared to other places on the beach, typically a lot of Europeans that stay here which is nice. :)

The best part of this hotel is the restaurant. The breakfast is amazing and the pizza is one of the best in Tulum!
Room was a little small and dark. But overall fair for the price.

The beach is really beautiful and Violeta has its own private part of it, with sun beds assigned to each room. The place is small and quiet. The staff and management are really friendly and helpful. The food is fine.
Only select rooms have AC. Electricity and water in the whole hotel are turned off between 2 and 6AM. Included breakfast consists only of fruit and bread. Also (although it is not the hotel's fault), the whole strip has become VERY busy and noisy. At certain times, you literally get stuck in traffic.

I didn't realize how burnt out I was until staying at Casa Violeta and experiencing the wonderful hospitality and amenities this unique boutique hotel had to offer. It was a sanctuary in an otherwise bustling area of Tulum that happened to serve the best Italian food I've tasted in my life. I heard the Executive Chef is from Naples. But the absolute highlight of my stay was waking up early to watch the sunrise across the horizon over the ocean. Life has been hectic over the past few years and having that experience changed my perspective in ways that are too hard to describe in words. My family with small children truly enjoyed our stay here.
There is no AC in the rooms which usually isn't an issue with the cool breeze coming from the ocean and fans in the room. However, with little kids they are a bit more sensitive to the heat.

The restaurant, beds at the beach and room where excellent
Se only had one detail, we went out to a wedding and came back to a closed gate. It was difficult to access and nobody answered the knocks or phone

The location was great, and the staff was very friendly.
I found fleas in my bed and I had bites everywhere, and there was a lot of mold growing on the ceiling of my shower. There was no a/c like advertised too.

Casa Violeta is true Tulum and kept up with lots of love. We we’re so blessed to find a room for our last minute trip. We loved the staff, they were so kind an accommodating, we loved the restaurant which the locals seemed to love as well. The place was so quiet and the guests were so respectful. Everyone was at Casa Violeta to relax, disconnect and unwind.
There was nothing about this place we did not like.

Perfect, relaxed location for Tulum beach. Beautiful rooms + beach and relatively quiet. We stayed in Ixchel for 4 nights and really enjoyed everything. Gianpiero the manager was really helpful in accommodating our stay and the rest of the staff was very friendly. They serve really nice food at the restaurant and the atmosphere of the hotel is intimate.
We also stayed in the Iris bungalow for the last few days and think this should not be available with an extremely noisy generator and staff area / construction site right next to the bungalow.
Casa Violeta helped us in dealing with this, but we think this should be fixed or guests should make sure to not get this bungalow. Partying and drinking tequila until late proved to be a good remedy as well.
FYI the included breakfast included is simple (continental); eggs (like the really tasty huevos rancheros) are not included.

the food was excellent
having the air conditioner off at night was understandable for the environment, but having all of the electricity turned off each night was tough, because then fans don’t even work to keep some airflow. we must have misread the fine print, because it definitely caught us off guard, and made it harder to sleep than we expected.

Need A/C in the room.

In Tulum luxury isnt a pool or air conditioning - it’s service. This beautifully designed boutique property delivers that in spades. Each room is individually decorated incorporating large art works and natural elements to create truly relaxing design led spaces which respect the local environment. The beach front is on the best part of the beach, with privacy provided by the well spaced dedicated beach beds and a well maintained beach which is cared for through the day. A great restaurant, attentive and charming staff and an eye for detail make this my new favourite hotel in Tulum.
Nothing the hotel has any control over.

The concierge Salome is amazing! She’s the only reason the rating isn’t lower.
Well where do I start-
We had two rooms the Lotus and Iris. Both rooms are severely over priceda and not worth it due to the massive amounts of seaweed on the coast line..therefore there’s no one on the beach during the day.. The room had NO AC after advertising it did they had fans, the room had no microwave or fridge to store food from the expensive restaraunts in Tulum..all of the screens in the room are broken so there were sooo many bugs eating us up at night we slept with off on.. we also had to have a mattress exchanged due to possible bed bugs from the amount of notes my friend had on him which looked like bed bug bites..The electricity cut out in the room for an entire day and evening. as cool as it is having a room on the beach (Lotus) it was a pain because the rooms floor is covered with sand it gets all over everything and must be swept regularly ...The hotel restaraunt was horrible and also over priced..again the concierge was amazing however the room is NOT worth the price it’s better to stay in Tulum City and taxi in and out at night when it’s the only tim the Tulum strip is actually live.

I loved this place! It was comfortable and lovely. Decorations were so nice and the staff was excellent. I also loved that it was small so it was very intimate. The restaurant was tasty and healthy. The beach amazing! I would definitely come back!
