Room was great, we stayed in the "Robert the Bruce" room, the room size was great, and the bathroom was great.
Kitchen facilities was great, the bar was great. No complaints here, staff were friendly and helpful.
The beds were not comfortable, and towels were not supplied to the rooms.
If those two things were addressed, that would make this 10/10. Everything else was great, from parking, to staff attentiveness, to conditions.

The location was perfect, easy walk down to the Loch and the rest of the amenities in the village. There was such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere around the place. So very easy going. Folks wandering around in their socks in the evening and at breakfast just gave it a lovely, homely feel.
The room was very spacious - for a family of 4 with all our luggage, we had plenty of space.
Can't fault the place. Some dodgy handwritten cards in the Uno deck in the bar, but can't blame the staff for that!!

It was so refreshing experience to stay at the lodge. The location of the lodge is excellent - just 2 mins from Loch Ness centre at Fort Augustus. The staff is super friendly, cheerful and energetic. The breakfast is quite fulfilling, worth every single penny of it or even more than that. The beds were very comfortable in the room with very clean, tidy and suitable sized room. The en suite bathroom was also big and super clean.

The staff here were super nice and the dinner that you could order was also fantastic. Very tasty and a great value for money. The breakfast was buffet style and also a good value.
Parking is a bit tight if you arent there early in the day (we arrived at 7 pm), but we managed.

Very well organised and comfortable, considering that it is a hostel.

Another excellent stay at Morags Lodge - very comfortable hostel accommodation with good facilities. Fort Augustus is a pleasant town with plenty of pubs and cafes all close by - but the in house bar is also a nice spot for a drink
hard to fault the stay - good value, comfortable hostel accommodation

location in Fort Augustus was ideal! it is right on the great glen way hike. great place to meet other travellers. the kitchen and complimentary breakfast was nice. was great that they had lockers to store valuables in. they had charging stations on every bed.

I liked the location. The room was comfortable. The only thing to improve on would be facilities to make a hot drink.
Lack of kettle in the room.

The property is well-situated, and clean, with spacious rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. The shower is amazing. I was there during off-season, and was therefore not met during check-in, but given complimentary make-it-yourself breakfast.
I liked this property a lot. The only minor complaint... the WiFi could be better as it is quite slow, but then again, you are supposed to be site seeing and exploring, so it should not be a major issue.

clean and spacious
saw no one til end of our stay, didn’t feel very safe as there was no staff presence whatsoever, asked for milk from a staff member on the Sunday morning and ended up walking to the village to buy more, private function on at night ( Halloween) but on arrival on the Friday night bar area , lots of dirty glasses and empty bottles, which were added to at the Halloween event! staff member totally disinterested in anything I had to say regarding this, didn’t receive a message to say no food available til the night we left, however on the Thursday night there had been food, so bit strange! Had a response back but wasn’t really helpful regarding our issues, we came with a dog and no one pointed out dog waste bins , so we stored any poop in our boot til we got to a disposal area, Wouldn’t stay again

The location was fabulous!
The staff were very helpful.
The value for money!
A very expensive stay, when you have to do your own washing up, linen stripping, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, bar not open etc.

Another good stay at morags lodge. This is a hostel but with rooms and facilities a cut above the average. The rooms are simple - but clean and have nice touches like courtesy lights and chargers. Most have en suite bathrooms. There is lots of space in the dining room, plenty of comfortable sofas and a nice bar if you don't fancy the walk into the village.
The self catering kitchen is a bit small, perhaps because they also provide breakfast and dinner - but its perfectly adequate

Proximity to town, super clean, great self catering facilities, friendly staff, pet friendly, general atmosphere
We were a group of 7 and had a 5 bed private dorm and a 2 bed room. The 5 bed was the same size as the 2 bed and was pretty cramped for 5 people.

Location good staff good
Very noise fire alarm going off doors slamming people in and out all night
