The location and general facilities were very good. It's a great place to stay for the whole family. The apartment was well appointed, nicely decorated and a good size.
There was no contact from staff at all during our stay with the exception of check in...a simple text or call would have been nice. On check in we were shown the complex's recycling area before anything else which seemed very unusual...(imagine arriving at a hotel and the first place they point you towards is the dustbins) and, despite the building being beautiful, which we were desperate to see...arrived at our apartment via the garden door the route of which is quite muddy which caused us and the satff member to walk right through our newly cleaned apartment with dirty shoes as he seemed in a hurry without time to remove them. There was a bad damp smell in the hallway of the apartment which didn't improve and we reported it but there was no response at all from staff. The mattress in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable and when I made my final checks that we had not left anything I noticed that the area under the sofa looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. The water in the showers ran hot and cold.

great size for a family, clean, great location

The location. I loved that we had a yard with play toys for our toddler. Ft. Augustus was our favorite place in Scotland.
Nothing, other than the hot water was too hot. I’m afraid a child will scald themselves.

Very interesting unusual location - Rght by Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal. Former Fort, then Monastery. Lovely swimming pool!
Lots of beauty all around
There was nobody 'in charge' - and
our 'hosts' were very remote! (The Aonach Mor rep. was friendly when she eventually arrived)
The advertised restaurant was great, but misleading to say it was part of the setup. it was a long walk. The garden attached to our flat was awful! Glad we didn't have to spend any time in it.

Apartment was really nice and clean….but…..
As my mother is wheelchair bound we booked this apartment on the understanding it was wheelchair accessible unfortunately the rear door lock was broken when we arrived and it made it really difficult to get inside as we had to use the bedroom door/window access point which meant crossing the lawn with the wheelchair which resulted in dragging leaves and moss into the bedroom every time we entered the apartment, we asked if a repair could be performed but were told it would be unlikely, so this turned into a real nuisance and had a negative impact on our stay. I had e-mailed my concern beforehand when we returned home and haven’t receive any response which is quite frustrating and very annoying!!

The Abbey was fascinating. We spent a whole morning exploring. Kids loved it!
Taking the rubbish out, all though fully understand, was a hassle when leaving as the bins were quite a distance down the road..with wee Kids wasn't ideal

Stunning historic property albeit with some unsympathetic additions (I have spent too long in local government planning). Our apartment was well converted with all mod cons. Location next to Loch Ness was magical.
We were taken to our apartment through the garden door across wet and slippy grass. It would be so much better if the garden paving was extended through the gate to the existing public paved path from the car park.

Well equipped accommodation and facilities.
4.5
Location for village and local amenities plus good for longer distances.
Excellent facilities in the property. Everything you would want for a self catering apartment. Excellent access to the Highland club and all its facilities.
Nothing.

The location was fabulous Just a couple of minutes walk into town but in a lovely quite setting, Some nice walks in the ground and a BBQ station next to the loch.
Only thing was the second bedroom wardrobe was set out as storage cupboard so had to empty it to get cloths in 4 adults need 2 wardrobes

Felt mattresses needed upgraded.

Absolutely stunning location, on the Loch. The apartment had everything we needed, with a lovely spacious garden and BBQ. Free parking on site. The kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and if we ever come again in Fort Augustus, will definitely book to stay there again.
The only thing I can recommend is getting new high chair. The one in the property is quite used and the straps are very dirty. The wee table on the high chair is not straight. Maybe something like the IKEA basic high chair will be better as it's easy to clean.
Also prior to booking, there was no information about the pool and gym being closed due to Covid, we understand why this is, but it will be nice to have this information prior to booking.
