Comfort stay and excellent host!

We felt very welcomed by our host. Before arriving she contacted us and provided information how to reach the house as well as tips for beaches and transportation. The room was big, clean and quiet. There is a bakery just under the house wherefrom we could get breakfast and enjoyed it at the terrace. Within less than 10 minutes we were in the city center (though a small hike on the hill to return). In front of the house there is the bus stop to the airport and few steps further down the bus stop to the port.

The bathroom and shower are quite small. The shower curtain can be a bit bothering when showering.

A great location, comfortable and everything everything you need!

Apartments Biba is in a really good location- walkable to the wall in a couple of minutes and no need for public transport while you’re there. It’s also right next to the cable car entrance and also the bus to the airport, which was so convenient! Everyone was lovely, and we loved sitting on the terrace at night looking at the lights and the ships in the distance.

Room with sea view didn’t have any view - disappointing!

Good location to the old town. Nice „public“ terrace.

Okay, I actually have never left some bad review anywhere, but I’ve also never had a personal experience like this. So, the thing is, I booked a „room/studio with a sea view“. And I paid for that, if I remember correctly. And there wasn’t really any sea view, actually no view at all. I looked right into some kind of bush. The pictures here on booking.com weren’t adequate at all. I’ll attach two of mine. For me, it felt like a fraud. When I tried to explain calmly to the owner while „checking in“, there wasn’t really a will to understand or to clarify. My room was presented to me, short-mannered, almost like a prison cell introduction, I felt uncomfortable and unwanted from the very first moment. My impression was, as soon as she learnt I was a single male traveling, she had changed the rooms. Because there were apparently rooms with views upstairs. But that can be a personal interpretation of the situation. Besides, it was a -I don’t want to say a hard word like moldy, but let’s say- a wet smell in that specific room. I guess people can rent anything In Dubrovnik for the money they want. I would never come again.

Good location if you without car.

There aren’t any place for free parking, paid parking costs more than apartments. Very small and Uncomfortable bathroom.

the only good thing is the location, nothing else.

the location was really good, close to the old town.

the owner said there’s free parking, but actually there’s not. the “free parking” is just the random parking on a very narrow street, and far away from the accommodation. they shouldn’t put free parking on the description, it’s a lie.

the location and views were amazing. really friendly owners. air conditioned. comfy bed.

Some glasses in the room and a kettle/cups would be a nice extra - but there is a kitchen area outside.

Good Apartment.

It was a good personal terrace. The views where not that GOOD, as you had the cable car at front, but it was okay. The host was a very nice lady, organized and make us feel as home.

The shower is small, but its okay.

Great choice

Really well situated for the old city and transports. The daughter of the owner was super nice and offered us coffee and tea on arrival. You can make use of the beautiful terrace overlooking the city, and there is a bakery just downstairs.

Great place near old town.

Everything. Location is super, only few stairs away from beach and the old town. Host was super lovely.

Sadly we only spend two nights there but will surely come again.

Apartment was clean and nice. It also had a kitchen and terrace. Really close to the old town, about 3 minutes walking. Close to beaches also.

Only thing to point out maybe is that the room got humid. When the AC was working it was okay.

if anything, I’d say the bathroom is a bit small. still, I would return in a heartbeat.

Nice and family-friendly stay, with a few shortcomings

Excellent location - just across the cable car station and directly in front of the airport bus station (on tue way TO the airport). Good bakery just underneath the building. Very friendly and welcoming owner. Beautiful sea views from the patio. Very clean.

The excellent location had its price: sometimes very noisy with lots of car and bus traffic, including the occasional driver sharing his disco sound with the neighborhood for minutes around midnight. Of course, one could close the windows and use AC instead which we, however, refused to do as we wanted to enjoy the cool sea breeze at night. The equipment in the kitchen was rather limited.

We didn't like the steps or the fact that the whole apartment opened out to a public area. Steep steps was the big problem for us.

Location. Super easy to walk and wander the old city.

Be prepared to share your space with the family, and their little boy and his toy trucks. I did not expect this. Tiny bathroom.

Exceptional

Where do I start? I traveled for just under a month in Croatia and this hands down was the place that felt most like home. Mainly because of Biba (cute adopted Croatian Gran) and her daughter Nerma. Both really made me feel welcome and take pride in creating a warm home for their guests. My room was, cosy, very clean and a 3 min walk into the Old Town!! I really enjoyed my stay here and felt at home straight away. The communication with the hosts was awesome. Thank you both greatly for the hospitality!

The view

The owner would not reply to messages when arriving and waited for nearly an hour to get a reply. Make sure you yell “hello” to get the mother to hear you coming to let you in.

The host was amazing, we really enjoyed our stay thanks to her and her lovely family. The location was great, close to the cable car and few minutes away from the old city. This is the best you can get for your money.
