Named in honor of an Italian immigrant who settled in Napa in the early 1900’s to grow vegetables for his new-found community. Frank Massa built this mediterranean cottage as a wedding gift for his wife-to-be in 1930. The two bedroom, one bathroom cottage is listed on the historic register and fully restored to its original elegance & appointed with original furnishing and fixtures from the 1930's.
Enter this stunning residence through the garden courtyard bordered with potted plants and feel immediately at home. The formal living will welcome you with the sophistication of Persian rugs, built in shelves with books for your perusal, inviting fireplace, writing desk and comfortable sitting area. Continue through the French doors to the formal dining room that is certain to stimulate your appetite. Enjoy a bottle of wine in the garden over a game of Bocce Ball!
Take a short walk up First Street to the heart of the downtown where restaurants, wine tasting rooms and shops abound. St. Helena Hwy is just a few blocks away and will take you to any of the vineyards and wineries you have dreamed of.
The charming, refurbished kitchen, with its sunny breakfast room, is the perfect place to take pleasure in your morning coffee or afternoon tea. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished, one with Mediterranean style furniture and Adra’s dressing table, the other with Art Deco Waterfall furniture. A wonderful night’s sleep awaits you in these dreamy beds, complete with fine linens.
Let the last bit of stress melt away while you soak in the deep, cast iron tub. Admire the skillfully tiled floor and craftsmanship of a time past.

Wonderful stay as our base for trips in Napa and Sonoma. Historic home had wonderful charm and was well appointed. Walking distance to downtown Napa - enjoyed that in the morning to the Model Bakery for coffee and pastry!

This is a great house and I just have one complaint. There was no info about the password for joining the internet. This took considerable time looking, then contacting VRBO, waiting for the process to contact the property manager and get the info back to us.

It was a wonderful weekend away with girlfriends. The location was excellent. We would definitely recommend it to others.

We loved this property! The character of the place made it so much more fun than staying in a hotel. The location was fantastic too. I HIGHLY recommend this property for a Napa getaway!

My adult daughter and I stayed at this charming house for a few days of exploring Napa and Sonoma. It was wonderful. The home is decorated in period furnishings and we loved it. It had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. We were so happy to have a quiet place to come home to at the end of the day. The back garden was a great place to share a cheese plate and a final glass of wine.

Beautifully restored home with lush gardens. We only wished the weather would have cooperated so we could have spent more time outside!

We stayed two nights and loved that we could walk to Napa for dinner. The house was very clean and the yard was beautiful. We played bocce ball in the back yard. A perfect homebase for our day visiting vineyards in the area.

We came to Napa to be guests at a wedding…and this property (and the owner) rolled out the equivalent of a red carpet! So clean, so comfortable, so classic! It seems this home was built on love…we were honored to add to it!

The check in process, communication with owner, cleanliness (and I’m a clean freak), and overall experience was wonderful! It is a charming home that is very near to restaurants, shops and tasting rooms. It is a short drive to the area where the vineyards are (so a great location if vineyard visits are on your list) but hiring a driver is recommended for safety. The home is easy to find on a main street that runs straight to “downtown” Napa. Quite neighborhood and cute home that had all we needed for our stay.

Beautifully appointed and great location!
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Mazda house. It is a beautiful property that feels like stepping back in time but with all of the modern amenities. Communication with the host was pleasant and I felt like he was invested in us enjoying our stay. We are already looking forward to returning soon! .

The house is cozy and enjoyable. Some rooms are hotter than others. We enjoyed our time here.

The 1930’s home is absolutely lovely, comfortably furnished with many original touches. We all agreed that it would have been so nice to just spend a day enjoying the house and grounds but we knew we had to get out and about. It is a comfortable walk to the town center.

Short and sweet: This is not a house, it's a home. Restored to original grander. 4 of us enjoyed the multiple rooms, breakfast in the dining room and relaxing in the living room. Bedrooms are spacious for our luggage and clothes for the week. Host was fantastic with communication and ensured we arrived without any issues. Walking distance to downtown Napa. Supermarkets, Pharmacies, and UPS (to buy boxed for wine to ship on plane) were ALL a close drive. The air-conditioning works GREAT!!!! Highly recommended.
