nice rooms with shared kitchen
caring and accommodating host! thanks a lot for the nice stay!

We have a two room’s apartment under the roof with big private terrace and with possibility to use garden, barbecue and inside parking. It was absolutely great, everything was clean, new and modern. Excellent staff, José is helpful and is able to share a lot of useful information. The location is very good if you want to explore whole parts of island. We were absolutely satisfied.
Maybe the entrance to the yard could be easier for drivers :)

The house is in a really good position for visiting the island. The apartment was clean and the kitchen was really well organized. The parking is comfortable especially for small cars.
Unfortunately the structure is made by stones and sometimes could happen to find some insect in the room.
Except this, everything it's really cosy.

The house was very clean, spacious, we’ve loved the bbq and laundry service. Thanks to Jose, who was very kind with us and helped a lot with suggestions to improve our visit of the island! The position it’s a 20 minutes from all the main tourist place!! Thank you

Our stay at Stonewood Lodge was great. To start with, the staff was really helpful and answered all our queries and requests before and during our trip. We stayed with our baby at la Casa Verde, a 1 bedroom accommodation overlooking a lovely green garden. The apartment has all the basics for our week long holiday, and we were able to cook breakfast and dinners for our little one. The location is fantastic to explore the island by car, only a 15 min drive from Ponta Delgada, and very convenient to get to and from the main sites. Stonewood Lodge also has customer parking, making it even easier for us to travel with our baby.

The property is really nice, very well located. From here you'll be able to make the most out of the west side of Sao Miguel and the capital.
We were given a whole house in a complex with garden, parking spaces and a nice view. Really suitable for long staying.
Our host was kind and informative of the area, really talkative with lots of suggestions.
Cleanliness was also good
The parking space was too narrow. We had a Smart and had some issues on the first day parking in the last and only parking spot left. The second day we had more luck with the space but the car became a target of the pigeons of the tree just above the car.
Although the house was nice and lovely, the environment was rather humid and damp. We could feel it on our clothes almost immediately after we moved in

Locazione with nice garden
Roma a little bit humid

Very cute facilities, not far from anything, even by taxi.
Host and care staff were great.
Lighting was not great, room had a smell to it like it may have had a mold issue (we didn't see any, but I can't think of a better way to describe it.

A compound with several properties and an inner yard - birds singing, some ocean view. We had plenty of space and an extra bed was provided on request for our large family. The hosts were very responsive and reacted to our questions and requests quickly. Provided useful information and tips, maps and guides - thank you! Parking for a larger car is difficult in the courtyard (and space is limited when all units are used) - we found a nearby municipal parking lot near the church - free - and walked from there instead. Our host Jose was amazing, friendly and responsive which was really appreciated!
I would provide more basics in the kitchen such as paper towels, salt & pepper, extra garbage bags. In our unit, not all windows had an insect screen. All little things that could improve the property.

Modern appartment, spacious bedrooms, clean, good showers, very friendly host, extra cleaning during our stay, parking facilities, small supermarket and restaurant around the corner, nice view, close to Ponta Delgada.
Matresses are too hard, no oven (only a simple microwave), livingroom is a bit small for 6 people (fits only a small 2p couch and 2 chairs), laundry service was good (9 euro) but I prefer doing the laundry myself. No comfortable chairs in the shared garden.

I liked the privacy, location, cleaning every 2-3 days.

the guy who received us was very nice. Also the garden is cool!
We didn’t get new towels or cleaning in the room. the seaview is very very far away. public transport to this place is impossible. the water stayed cold when taking a shower.

Jose was there to greet me, but also to help me start my hiking treks and to explore Sao Miguel. Casa Verde is a beautiful cottage right on the garden.
The neighbours' dogs are undisciplined and poorly trained, barking constantly at all ours of the day, and sometimes during the night, too. It's hard to appreciate all the tranquility of the garden and the birds with neighbours like that. Jose says he is unable to change the situation, which is too bad.

The environment is so beauty and well prepared; very clean. We enjoyed everything.

Spacious terrace
WiFi is very poor, works only in one room. The kitchen is very small and poorly appointed.

We loved that Fernando was waiting for us even if it was a bit late, to give us the keys and some tips and recommendations to improve our experience on the island. Also, the apartment is very clean, so it was very comfortable.

The hosts are really nice and friendly. We arrived really late at night, but they had no problem to wait for us to give us the keys and explain how everything worked; the morning after, they gave us a map and very thorough and detailed explanations about the island, what to see, how to get to the different spots, etc. and they even offered to help us book tickets to some places.
The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The lodge consists of several independent houses with a nice garden area. Each of the houses has its own kitchen, so you will only be sharing the kitchen with a few other rooms (in our case, one kitchen shared by three rooms). Besides, each room has its separate kitchenware and kitchen storage space assigned.
It's located in a small village with only a small supermarket, a couple of cafés and a restaurant nearby (O Rei dos Frangos, which I recommend!), so you will need to plan ahead for your meals and grocery shopping. It's quite conveniently located to explore the island by car, as it is well communicated with all the major towns and tourist/hiking spots. Overall, we found it a quite calm and pleasant place to stay in.
The mattress was a little too soft, not too comfortable. Other than that, the room was perfect.
Payment with card is not available, but they warned us about it beforehand so that we could have enough cash with us.

The appartmant was very big and also the garden. The sound of the birds in the morning was wonderful!
The couch in the appartmant had a bad smell.
9.6
Clean, comfortable and really liked the village. Easy to get anywhere on the island.
Jose was very helpful and knowledgable.
Nothing other than barking dogs at night. Realize this is not within your control.
