Liked the views. Excellent bed in main bedroom. Quite location.
No downstairs bathroom for the bedrooms. Had to climb stairs to bathroom at night. Queen bed in second bedroom is very soft/roll together.

The views were amazing. It was clean and warm. The host Stacey was excellent. Our whānau loved our time at Top of the Bay.

Location to the main centre. The view of the harbour, sea, Russell and surrounding area. Very quiet and secure to parking our car.
Heavy condensation on the inside of the windows. Mold along the join between the sides and the shower floor, and between the glass frame and the floor. This needs attention now, with a good dose of chlorine and wet and forget to get rid of it. It looks unsightly, although the shower works perfectly well and is large enough to move around in.
The bed needs to be increased to either a queen or king as there is enough room to do so. The edge of the existing bed slops down and your elbow or body can slip off the mattress.

The view was extraordinary and the beds were comfortable. the garden was lovely. The location was quiet
The only bathroom was upstairs and all the beds were downstairs. The tap water smelled and tasted terrible like dirt and/or mould. Take bottled water with you.

The view was awesome! The apartment was very clean, quiet & comfortable. Location was very good but be aware there is a steep hill to climb when walking from the town.
Power points near mirrors in the 2nd bedroom & bathroom would be useful for hair drying or shaving.

Fabulous views of the water. Very comfortable stay! We didn't want to leave!!
Although it is quite close to Paihia's restaurants and the Marina, it is a very steep walk up the hill to get home, but the view is worth it!

Tucked away at the top of the hill with 180 degree view of the bay. Really lovely setting and very peaceful and quiet, and yet only a stone throw from the main township. The property has been kept super tidy and clean. We arrived at Christmas Day and received a Christmas card from the host which was a very nice touch. The host Stacey also assisted us with booking a cruise to the hole in the rock, we received 10% discount and loved the cruise. We saw a group of dolphins. Thank you Stacey
I highly recommend the owner to install flyscreens to all the openable windows as at night time there were mosquitoes and we couldn’t open any doors or windows. There was no air conditioning at all inside the house. It became quite stuffy and uncomfortable for us which impacted our sleep. It would have been really nice if we could have opened the windows to let the fresh air in then there wouldn’t be any issues without air conditioning. There needs to be curtain or blockout blinds at least to the main bedroom downstairs as the morning sun gets through the vertical blinds and woke us up way too early than we needed too especially so when we were on a holiday. I believe if the owner can do a few improvements to the property it would make it an even better place to enjoy the Bay of Islands

Beautiful view. Part way up a hill yet centrally located. Very comfortable. Lots of outdoor living opportunity. Hands off management ie no 10am check out - Yay! Kitchen facilities sufficient to do basics and I liked the coffee selection.
It was slightly damp but possible to control with heaters.

The location overlooking the bay. The lounge and the balcony is quite good. The dining and kitchen is clean and tidy.
We couldn't sleep a night because all the rooms are too hot no aircon nor electric fan. We complain and the next day they provided tower fans for both rooms. The bathroom and toilet is upstairs and it is so inconvenient as all the rooms are in the ground level.

super clean and comfy and we arrived super early as there were no car parks in town and they let us check in right away!

Beautiful views of the Bay and good setup for our family
A number of minor things weren't quite right which on their own weren't biggies but added up affected our review scores

The view was beautiful
Curtains are needed down stairs especially when owners having gathering, coffee was hard

Location was good. Lovely view, clean and quiet.
A bit dated but then I think most units of this sort in Paihia are a bit dated - were all build in the same era.

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We had everything we needed and were close to town, with a fabulous view! Good value for money and would stay again….

Location awesome, view awesome, host lovely to deal with.
WiFi was patchy, and squeaky floor in the bathroom.
