This little cottage has character. Situated on the lake, it is peaceful and beautiful. There is a shared drive with the neighbouring cottages on each side. As described there are 2 cottages joined by a common covered sitting area and shared front door. We stayed in Koura 1 which was plenty of space for us 4 adults. Kitchen was well stocked. Communication was a bit of a challenge at first. We did not receive arrival instructions until 8pm so we ended up going to the neighbor who shared the caretaker Mike’s contact info. Mike was very helpful over the phone walking us through entry and basic instructions about our stay. Overall would recommend staying here if you want a quiet spot out of the busy touristy Rotorua, but easily accessible at approx 20mins drive away.

Hired both houses for our family and had the best Xmas stay right on the water front.
The houses are supplied with everything you could possibly need. Friendly owners and very helpful.
Plenty of room for boat and jetskis.

As advertised, nice property, good facilities.
Just a couple of very minor things - spices in space rack seem about a decade old and faulty wiring on one of the bedside lamps. But not worried about those minor things - Overall great stay, happy to recommend to others.

This is the second time we stayed here. It is so comfortable and very well provisioned. All communication with the owner has been easy and friendly. I would highly recommend this property. The launch ramp and jetty are great for everyday boating. And the icing on the cake is the lovely next door neighbour.

Enough beds and kitchens well stocked….2 families stayed across the two beaches and this worked well. We have a wakeboard boat and although it was easy to get it into the water off the boat ramp we struggled to get it out (due to the angles) so had to pull it out over at the public ramp. This would not put us off staying again…just a good to know for anyone with a similar boat.

Winter Family Holiday
A warm cosy spot to get away to. Although we stayed in winter with very cold and wet weather the house was warm and cosy, plenty of room for our family of 6. This would be fantastic in summer with the boat ramp right in front of the house. A great stay thanks.

Gorgeous relaxing peaceful getaway
What a wonderful stay, the house was a great size and very comfortable, great location only 15 mins in car from rotorua so was ideal because as soon as you got back to the lake house it was complete tranquility, peace and quiet.
Wonderful owners who provided everything from washing powder powder to toilet tissue and there were even tea bags and milk available for me to relax after a long drive!
Kids loved the location and fishing and canoeing was easy and safe as i could see the lake clearly from the house or garden.
