The location of this small hotel was really beautiful- set in a luscious valley. The rooms were furnished with antiques and were spacious. Pool area was lovely, staff friendly and breakfast good. The view from the breakfast terrace was really nice. Our bedroom was large and well furnished and bathroom good.
Car hire essential.
The access to the hotel needs addressed. Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We had the evening meal a couple of times-although not expensive, menu could be much improved.

Food was fair. Location excellent
Dinner was extremely poor. Apparently they had no chef and precooked food was brought in

The history and furnishings
Terrible food. Room cold and damp, bathroom window did not close, bugs fluttering in at night, damp towels, poor lighting, in general dismal atmosphere.

Lovely breakfast on terrace with splendid views of the valley
Beautiful setting in a lush valley - palm trees, orange groves, a cactus garden…
Building is a 19th century country house, elegantly furnished with antiques - the feel is of being a guest at a private house, much more enjoyable than an impersonal, characterless hotel experience. But you feel free to roam and use the gorgeous drawing room , reading room with vast windows and views all the way to the sea… yes, some of the furnishings are a bit worn - but such beautiful fabrics and original pieces!
The lane connecting it to the main road was narrow and bumpy
The dinner option could be improved

The hotel is in a beautiful place, the breakfast was really good (you can pick from a list what you want, and the staff will bring it to you)
The staff should speak at least a couple of words in english. Only the manager could speak english.

Little paradise in a green valley, next to the lovely Aegete village and a little harbor. Historic house, with a lot of charm, in the middle of a fruit garden. We had a large double room, totally calm and cool even during warm days (loved the decoration of the bathroom). For the breakfast (a la carte and prepared a la minute, with fresh products) you will face the wonderful valley and hear little birds. Staff is professional and friendly. There are not too many rooms and most of the time you feel you are alone in this big property and this is just perfect to relax (cannot describe the feeling but it just feels wonderful and relaxing). There is a swimming pool and e Bike rental options (did not try). In the evening, they offer dinner options, otherwise you can try one of the tapas restaurants in Aegete or the sea food restaurants from the harbor (highly worth the visit), and finish with a walk to the natural swimming pools on the sea side. I can only recommend this place (wish we would could have stayed longer).
Swimming pool is clean, though I would recommend to remove the little leafs this would look prettier (but I m control freak)

Perfect service from the management (Lourdes), atmosphere, location , peace and tranquility. Staff were all very curteous and under perfect management of Lourdes one would not expect otherwise.
We had a three course dinner in this fab hotel one night for only €17.. The main dinner was tasty but the pudding could have been much better. We think they should charge higher price but improve the menue. However this is only a constructive recommendation .

Nice old buildings with lots of character, free range chickens wandering around the grounds, orange juice from freshly picked oranges

We were excited to visit this hotel as we loved the fact that it was a beautiful old family home/finca, located on a plantation in a beautiful valley. We had a pleasant stay, but really the place looks tired and so much more could be done to make it amazing. It has so much potential, but you get the sense that it is underfunded and under staffed. Perhaps it's fallen on hard times due to the pandemic, who knows. We had a pretty bedroom, but our ensuite shower room was small and the loo smelt at times. We had dinner there one evening which was underwhelming (expect average home cooked food) although it was very inexpensive. There was no atmosphere in the dining/lounge areas which was uninviting. The communal areas look shabby, no one seems to make any effort to tidy them. There are various window blinds that are broken and just hanging unusable. The pool area was lovely and peaceful and the breakfast was good. The views are beautiful. The gardens and surrounding orchids are really unkept and look really sad. We felt the overall experience should've offered up more for the price we paid.
It looks underfunded and understaffed. It needs a jolly good tidy up, it's too shabby and unkept. Very little atmosphere. A pity as it's essentially a beautiful place that has heaps of potential.

Exquisitely located old Canarian working finca set in a beautiful valley amongst palm trees and vines. Great place to relax and friendly atmosphere amongst guests and staff. Feels more like a homestay than a hotel in its cosiness.
The downstairs rooms opened directly to the courtyard which gave them a nice sense of space.
Nothing to dislike really.
The diner is convenient and functional home cooked food. Adequate, but look elsewhere if you want a more indulgent feast.

We really loved the location and cactusgarden, along with the pool. The breakfast is also great! And the staff is super kind and speak English pretty well!
The part where you put the shower in our room was broken. So I think that needs some maintenance.
