Nice large room with view over the village. Clean. Owners pleasant and helpful. Nice bar and choice of drinks.
The Macerators (ours and the noise from other rooms).

Owner Elaine & her staff could not have been any more helpful
I had a couple of requests which they responded to and met brilliantly
A clean & tidy room - I got a great nights sleep in
The room met my requirements well - The only point to note was that the shower riser rail was broken ( which had been broken by the previous nights guest) and the owner was in the process of getting a new one - but I didn't find it an issue during my stay.

Friendly, homely, very warm and helpful owners. Great food and comfortable beds.
Location was ideal - under 10 minutes from EuroTunnel. Lovely quiet village. Great to be in an independent hotel with a personality. Would highly recommend!

Very clean and good location for Hayne house wedding venue

The cooked breakfast was good and the staff were kindness itself. We were perfectly located to attend a St Leonard's Church Christening and family gathering.
But oh the plumbing! The shower cubicle was very snug and frankly the mattress not overly comfortable. We do understand that the owners are quite new but there is still much investment needed to bring it up to date. Is it a pub, an inn or an hotel?

The bed was lovely
Warm and clean
The shower was lovely and bed comfortable.
Decor plain and simple
Pub was beautiful and breakfast was lovely
Lady when we came in was lovely and welcoming and the lady who did our breakfast was lovely and helpful too.
Great value for money!!
Walking up to the room, patches of plaster on the ceiling and also painted areas before the stairs. Nothing huge but just be nice to be painted same colour.

Hosts were very warm and welcoming. They made a big fuss about our two girls, who enjoyed the place very much.

Lovely staff. Room was spacious (good size for a family) and clean and had comfy beds and good facilities for hot drinks.
It was a little noisy (doors slamming and very loud toilets). The food was nice but quite limited menu.

Arrived in the evening to a very nice welcome. Had a good value meal that night and Elaine and family went out of their way to make sure we had a good breakfast early next morning before we travelled on to Europe. Good clean accomodation in a peaceful location. and very convenient for Eurotunnel. Thank you
Elaine and Ian.
We found bed a little hard but could not find any thing else we didn't like .

Did not have breakfast. Location was convenient for the wedding we were attending.
Extremely rude staff, very confrontational at check in and then outright accused me of “hoping to get one over on us” and not pay. This accusation was despite the fact I had paid in person, only to be informed my balance had been paid online already so I was refunded the in person payment. This culminated in threats to lock me out of the property as I was unreachable at a wedding.
Upon reaching the room it was extremely damp, beds were uncomfortable, and the ceiling in the hallway was leaking.

Breakfast was particularly enjoyable - food excellent and with only 5 rooms in the hotel, a cosy experience to chat with other guests and with the friendly chef/hostess. I discovered on arrival that there is a new Michelin star restaurant just opened up - literally just across the road - so likely to bring me down for another visit.

We had to live early and a take away breakfast was offered.
The rooms would require a renovation.
We arrived at 8pm and the host let us wait for the room for quite a long time. Apparently there was a personnel shortage to run the pub at the same time with the hotel. We were quite disappointed with the rudeness of the host. In addition we had a 8 y.o. with us- she was clearly tired- we had to wait to get our room. Would not go back there again.
