We had a junior suite which was lovely.
We booked a table for Friday night for us plus 2 friends and felt that 2 out of the 4 meals were a real let down.

Location
£20 additional charge for checking in at 14:10
£5.50 for a lime and soda
No flexibility to add baked beans to an omelette at breakfast
Dates feel of the place

Very large room. We were given the presidential suite as I think there weren’t many people staying at the time. This place served its purpose when needing a place to attend a wedding in the area.
It is very dated/ tired and slightly Faulty Towers vibes. It’s totally fine if you’re there for a reason, wouldn’t go to have a holiday and hang out there though. Looks better in the photos.

old. the room had mould and the window leaked dripping water onto the floor all night. kept us awake with the noise
poor value for money
1.5
Breakfast. Unless one ordered a cooked breakfast, the choice was very limited.
Room was awful, the window couldn't be opened ajar, no ventilation, a fan provided which obviously didn't provide cool air, light bulbs missing, had to ask twice for a spare toilet roll, carpet hadn't been vaccumed, furniture very "beaten up".
My room and limited breakfast.

A quaint hotel…pretty gardens offering outdoor relaxation space
Dated, room key was difficult / tricky. Air conditioning in room was not working.
Toiletries were limited and sparse for a spa hotel at this price range.
Very limited vegetarian cooked breakfast options.

Lovely staff, great location
Rooms very tired. Damp and mould around the widows, debris and broken equipment outside the window.

quiet
not told that the pool was closed (spa) before arrival or on check in…. only reason why I chose this hotel! the room was in need of updating but clean.

Staff are great.
Chef called in sick last minute, not the hotels fault but meant we had to cab it into town to find somewhere to eat.

Initial room was very nice.
Unfortunately no TV remote available and fridge not working in the original room- so offered and changed rooms to a smaller one with poor window outlook. Blocked by a metal screen. Hot water didn't seem to be available despite running it and shower head didn't work despite a modernised nice bathroom. Final problem was room wasn't cleaned and made up for 2nd night's stay. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast not good. Sorry we have never done a review like this before - we stayed before 3 years ago and all OK.

we had 2 different rooms one rather large one with a comfy bed and one smaller one with a very soft bed (too soft )
it isn’t new or modern but I like the vibe. hotel staff was most kind honestly.
location for me was perfect 42 min to Hyde park in London. lovely kettle coffee tea cookie nice soaps. you get what you pay for
ja my side table as bit dirty, not cleaned. but good price for nights sleep

Rooms were clean and comfortable at the price.
Not sure if south Africans likes colder rooms than the British people but the heat in the room were way to high and only the room radiator could turn off the bathroom radiator I could not turn off the tap. Had to sleep whit a open window to keep the temperature below 20 c. Mattress were way to springy and soft and needs replacement. Our room were also missing a bar fridge

Good location easy parking
A bit dated in need of refurbishment

The hotel has a generous parking and is very quiet. The room had a very good size, bed was large. Internet was good, and tea kettle/coffee maker was included. The location was perfect for my office, 5 min drive. Really hot in the room.
Very dated hotel. There was no way to lock the room from inside, so I felt nervous about my safety. The carpet is pretty hideous. Bed - while large, and with comfy pillows, had a very springy mattress, not typical in hotels. The bathroom was very dated, had some mould, and a leaky toilet. Breakfast was disappointing: not a great choice, but it was there. Second day was much better then first.

Spa
Room was not what we expected also bar staff not up to it spoke there own language while serving us whice made us feel uncomfortable

The spa facilities were really nice! Would recommend the spa for a day trip.
For what is meant to be a 4 star hotel, our fridge in the room didn’t work, and our friends fridge had a very mouldy salad from a previous user in their fridge, our fridge had also seen better days, the sockets in our room weren’t working so we could only charge phones in the car, the same problem my parents had in there room. Breakfast wasn’t included in the price which was already over £250 for 2 nights. Our room was ok, but needed an upgrade in the decor. There was a selection of tv channels but only 2 worked.
Thankfully we were only there for a minimal amount of time, but I wouldn’t have suggested this hotel deserves the 4 stars it has been given.
