Too small for recommended occupancy

Esme on reception was exceptional. Staff at leisure centre were unfriendly and unhelpful.
Other than the pool, there wasn’t anything to do inside. Kids were bored

Absolutely gorgeous apartment in stunning grounds the views were to die for! Amazing value for money staff on reception were lovely pm & am highly recommended 😀
I do have a couple of minors the fact you can't check in till 4Pm which in my opinion is late and I've never stayed anywhere with that late of a check in and also a 10am out the next morning again very rare to have to check out that early!! Also there is no on site bar or restaurant which is really a shame as the facilities are there on site! I do have to stress these are minor 🙃

Lovely, clean and spacious ☺️
4.3
We loved the size of the apartments and the fact that they were so clean and well equipped.
We liked everything about it. A restaurant onsite would be excellent.
4.3
The apartments were large and the swimming pool was lovely.
Use of the bar area even though the bar isnt open, made a good space to meet up and have a drink that we brought from the shop at the reception
Its a shame they don't have a bar and restaurant anymore.
Could do with a booklet in the apartments explaining the facilities , local eateries etc.
No soya milk.
4.3
Location was excellent and close to where we needed to be
Decor very dated, multiple creaking floor boards, hob was unusable due to a filthy filter and the room/suite was very cold due to minimal electric heater
4.3
Perfect base to travel to where we wanted to go to accommodation very large clean and quiet
Pity they did not have a bar or eating facility
4.3
Good facilities but restaurant and bar closed
Roadworks on A38 making it impossible to reach

I stayed here with my partner and two kids who are 9 and 12 for the weekend while we went to Alton towers I was over the moon with the apartment we stayed in it was a home away from home there wasn’t anything they hadn’t thought of and perfect for a self catering get away and the size of the apartment were brilliant so spacious and added bonus of a en suite in the master bedroom! The grounds were beautiful peaceful and the on site activities were an added bonus for a family stay.
The only downfall to our visit was there was road closures when we stayed which made things a little tricky but these things happen and we didn’t let it affect our stay.

Everything you could possibly think of in the kitchen!
Size of rooms, beautiful bathrooms and own garden .. amazing views over garden
That I couldn't stay longer!
And the issue with A38 (not your fault) but a little note could have been put on the booking, as it was very difficult to get to (and the fact that satnav takes you to a route that is not for vehicular access! Surely this happens to everyone so a note should be on the website for best route

We were 4 in log cabin 14, 1 double bed and large sofa bed for 2 in the lounge. Very comfortable. Beautiful country view with many chances to see squirrels. We used the kettle, microwave, toaster, washer/dryer. Did not use dishwasher. They supply washing-up liquid, 2 washing machine tablets and 2 dishwasher tablets. Shower liquid soap/shampoo. Towels are changed once, mid-week clean.
Staff at reception are very helpful and polite.
Note that check-in is 16:00.

great staff, accommodation and facilities
little bit out of the way but that’s fine - a bar / restaurant would be great.
4.3
The pool facility was good and enjoyed the experience there. The main Reception at Wychnor always very helpful too.
Location very nice and the cabins are situated in a lovely area too. The grounds appeared well tendered too.
No restaurants or bar faculties on site and not been for a several years which does make staying at Wychnor for us very limiting. Plenty of places to visit externally but a car is needed which limits the enjoyment of the holiday. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, so sleeping was not good. Cabin decorations and room and bedroom furniture very dated but serviceable.

This is a great place to stay but my colleagues had a needlessly onerous time checking in. The receptionist treated them with so much suspicion, demanded to see ID and credit card details and refused to let one even check in because his name wasn't on the booking (despite the booking being for three people).
Reception service, check in too complicated
4.3
Lovely view from the cabin
Plenty of parking spaces
Helpful staff and pool
Restaurant closed and non working hot tub - not mentioned when booking; advised when it was too late to book alternative accommodation

This is the second time we have stayed here and once again cannot fault the place!
Staff were always friendly and helpful and we wouldn't stay anywhere else when coming to the area.
The ability to contact reception through text makes any queries very easy to manage.

beautiful setting and grounds. Lots of activities to do. Manor House was lovely and shared the history of the place. Lorraine was excellent and helpful as was Tracy in Reception. Text messages from reception were helpful and was fun to do the quiz night. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and perfect for our stay. Was nice to have tea etc in the property as well.
little to find disappointing - the crazy golf area could be tidied up a little and unfortunately the jacuzzi remains out of action but this is due to repairers being unavailable
4.3
Lovely room. Great setting and things to do on site
No Bath. Golf course was a bit tired. No bar/ restaurant in use which was a shame as we would have liked to have used the facility more

I loved the apartment, a 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms little house in an old stable block. The 2 bathrooms were big boon when travelling with grown up sons, one of whom has Crohns Disease. The area was lovely & quiet with fabulous views. We were visiting family in the area so didn't use the leisure facilites and I'd love to come back to enjoy the whole package.
The single track lane to get to the property was a bit of a scare when we first drove up, thinking we were heading into the back of beyond especially with the traffic light!! But after the first time it was much easier.

Perfect location for our business trip. It was very clean and the staff were lovely and friendly.
It had been snowing and no heating had been turned on in our cabin when we arrived after 10pm so we a very cold arrival. The duvets were so thin (a summer duvet at best) with no extra blankets provided. When we called down to ask for extra blankets and were told there would be a £25-30 extra charge per extra duvet/blanket!
I had also stated that there would be 3 adults staying in the 1-bedroom, 1 sofa bed cabin so had expected that the sofa bed be made up for our arrival. Unfortunately it wasn't so we were also making up beds at 11pm.
