No ha sido una muy buena experiencia

La entrada del hotel estaba muy bien decorada con cosas de navidad.

Llegar allí y que nos dijeran que había un problema con el sistema central y que no nos podían dar habitación. Para compensar nos pusieron todo incluido, aún así no fue suficiente. La calidad de la comida dejaba que desear, había mucho pero de lo mismo, es decir, poca variedad y mucha cantidad. La habitación era más pequeña de lo que parece en la foto y la bañera también. Llegamos y el baño turco no funcionaba. No disfrute de mi estancia allí. A parte a las 11.58h, ya nos tocaban a la puerta para irnos porque tenían que limpiar.

gediegenes Hotel mit Makel

Wir waren über Silvester dort. Gute Lage in der Nähe vom Strand. Trotz der Nähe zum Bierkönig, war nichts zu hören. Der Megapark hatte geschlossen. Die Anlage ist im Finca-Style mit schöner Außenanlage (z. Bsp. ältere Bäume). Das Hotel ist nicht zu hoch.und nicht so geradlinig gebaut, wie einige der umstehenden Hotels. Das Essen war i. O.. Das Personal war sehr hilfreich, die Zimmer weitesgehend sauber.

Das Hotel ist leider auch in die Jahre gekommen. Man hat versucht auf den Zimmern dies mit neueren Möbeln auszugleichen, jedoch passten diese nicht in das Gesamtbild und machten teilweise einen billigen Eindruck. Im Bad waren Rostflecken an den Fliesen, an einer Stelle, an der mal irgendetwas befestigt war. Auf dem Fußboden im Bad war immer etwas Wasser (nicht vom Duschen o. ä.). Die Tür zum Bad war eine Glasschiebetür, die keinerlei Geräusche oder Düfte abhielt und eindeutig nachträglich eingebaut wurde und überhaupt nicht in die Zarge passte. Im Speisesaal waren die Gläser für Saft regelmäßig dreckig. Der Boden dort wurde nur sporadisch gesäubert, teilweise war das Essen vom Vorabend noch beim Frühstück auf dem Boden verteilt.

Die Lage und das überwiegend freundliche Personal…

Das die Zimmer wirklich unfassbar hellhörig sind, man zehn Minuten nach Ende der Essenszeit auf dem Restaurant heraus komprimiert wurde! Dies sollte in einem ausgewiesenem vier Sterne Hotel nicht passieren ‼️ Bei Anreise habe ich sehr freundlich um ein ruhiges Zimmer am Ende des Ganges gebeten, da ich drei Wochen dort sein würde und ich mich wirklich erholen möchte… dies wurde mit einem genervten Blick und einem … das wird eher nichts beantwortet…. Weiter musste ich dann feststellen, das meine Badezimmer Tür nicht zu schließen was, da alles alt und marode war, außerdem lief mein Wasser beim duschen in der Badewanne leider sehr schlecht ab, so dass ich bis zu den Knöcheln im Wasser stand 🥺 sechs versuche das zu beheben klappen nicht, dann wurde mir nur ein anderes Zimmer angeboten ,welches in noch unruhiger Lage war… leider hat man als Gast oft das Gefühl zu stören und es kommt selten das Gefühl des willkommen seins rüber… dieses Gedankengut sollte in diesem Hotel unbedingt wieder hervor geholt werden ‼️

Tolle Anlage, ca. 200 m zum Bierkönig, 200m zum Strand Höhe B6, super Buffet/ Poolanlage/ Service

Wir waren schonmal in diesem Hotel, wo besonders die Poolanlage und das sehr reichhaltige Morgen- und Abendbuffet super gefällt

Das Doppelzimmer ist recht klein und nicht besonders modern. Im Bad dürfte mal die Duschtrennwand erneuert werden und ein Vergrößerungsspiegel wäre auch prima. Das die Zimmer sehr hellhörig sind, wussten wir.

Overpriced for the general condition.

Lovely staff. All very helpful and friendly.

Checking in was an abysmally slow process. Have never come across a hotel that slow before. Room was very dated and decor shabby around the edges. Restaurant and bar not far behind. Noise transfer between rooms was quite impressive. The hotel reception was the only smart bit.

Food was excellent, the pool and gym also. Like an oasis. Location is perfect, naer the sea (3 min walk to the sandy beach), but not too close because it can be loud in the night on the main street (party and a lot of people).

Solo traveller

All the staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was good, too. I loved the fact that you had a pool where you were able to swim lengths. I swam every morning 🌄. The rooms were spacious with a good-sized balcony.

The pool area and the air conditioning in the lobby

This was the worst place we had ever stayed. It was such a waste of a holiday. We had worked hard all year for this. The very poor AC in our room. Which didn't work on the last night. However, we were given a fan: the humidity at this time was 87% in our room. Basically, blowing hot air around. Kitchen staff with no sense of awareness or plight for their guests. Talking over us at the dinner table. Making gestures to hurry us up I paying. Horrible, bland, tasteless food with little or no description to what it is or what is in the food. Served grey chicken multiple times. We were not informed about the noise level of the obnoxiously loud and rubbish live performances e.g. "A Bee Gees one man band." Our room "cave" was located directly above the stage. The hotel wants to be eco-friendly. At the cost of their customers. They are cutting corners in all the wrong areas. If you go, take a sleeping bag, and sleep in the foyer. That is the coolest place on the site.

As a group of four friends we had an amazing stay at Occidental Playa do Palms and plan to return!

Our second time at this hotel and we couldn't fault a single thing. Our room was fantastic, staff were very friendly especially ladies in the pool snack bar. Food was good with great variety. Location is very good with no long transfers from airport.

Food could be warmer at meal times but only a minor fault.

This hotel is fabulous. Our 2nd time here and didn't disappoint. Staff are so friendly and helpful...nothing is too much trouble especially staff in pool bar. We booked 2 junior suites which were fabulous...v clean...towels changed everyday and cleaned too. We were all inclusive soft which suited our needs brilliantly no complaints. Pool towels provided and robes / slippers. Location is so handy to shops / bars and airport is only 10 mins away. A brilliant stay...well done Occidental Playa de Palma..we will hopefully be back next year.

Once you rebuild the walls and insert the soundproof layer, 99% of your guests will appreciate it.

- good location - decent food - decent gym equipment (Techn*Gym, Ma*rix)

- the walls in standard rooms are not soundproof! - you hear everything from the rooms around yours! - you do not want to hear very intimate sounds from other guests! - party on the room next to ours!

Not Worth The Price

Teresa at reception was very friendly and helpful. Staff in the restaurant at meal times were friendly. Easy walk to the beach. The area is extremely quiet in Winter. Reception can call a taxi for you and it arrives withing 5 minutes or they can help you book a car rental car. Only thing is the car is not booked in your name or room number. So when the stranger comes with a key, you have to find them or they find you. Thank you to Joey, the guest experience manager, and the staff who responded to our requests via the app. This was extremely helpful and useful.

The hotel is a large 3 star at best. Not up to 4 Star standards. Not very child friendly. They say they have a kids club but don't. Kettle in room didn't work, and shut off main socket when plugged in. Had to request a new one. Toilet was filthy the day we checked in. Nasty. They don't help with luggage when you leave or arrive, you have to drag it all the way to the outdoor pool area and to the back, then up a flight of stairs, as no lifts at the apartments. Awful. No structure during meal times, no one to help get seated, buffet looks big but actually it's the same food repeated on different stations. Lunch variety definitely better than dinner. Breakfast as normal. Lady who worked in reception on New Years Day morning, and on January 2nd in reception was rude to all guests including us. She's a bad representative to have at reception. She has a "not my problem" attitude and was rude to three people in front of us and to us as well. No value for money. I would never recommend this hotel or ever stay here again.

Lovely hotel

Common areas were kept lovely and clean. All the staff we spoke to were friendly, helpful and they always seemed happy. Food was very good with a nice variety of items on the buffet and cooking station. All the items were topped up regularly. There was also a microwave in the restaurant if, like me, you want your food very hot. I think the staff in the restaurant worked exceptionally hard. Sometimes we had to wait a while to get a drink but it was not the fault of the staff. You could see they were busy. Perhaps the hotel needs one of two more people in there at busy times. If we were in the area again we would not hesitate to go back.

As previously mentioned possibly one or two more staff in the restaurant at lunch/dinner. Especially at the start of service.
