Good breakfast, excellent location, staff very helpful.
Can’t think of anything!

Breakfast was very good. The location was also good. We were only there for 1 night as we were travelling to Caen.
We would have preferred a thinner duvet! Otherwise all was fine.

Great restaurant, they offer a nice choice of local food products (eco), spacious room, large bathroom with windows, pleasant staff of the hotel. Thank you for this experience!

it’s appearance and initial charm
not one member of staff even attempted to communicate with us in English. My wife and I are both vegetarians, we wish that our €64 dinner would represent value beyond 3 boiled potatoes and steamed beetroot on a plate. The starter was horrible uncooked lentils and a barely poached egg, that my wife was surprised by, as she is a strict vegetarian from birth.
we were also offered a squid ink butter as part of our appetiser. that move made us question what they were going to offer next.
The only positive, is that they have laid on a breakfast for us 30 minutes ahead of time, as we were on a tight schedule to make a dash for a ferry back home.

Very welcoming of my dog- not just tolerated, but welcome. Staff were all very friendly, every one of them and you feel that they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. Good restaurant. As a solo traveler I also appreciated being given a nice table for dinner next to the window (often when you’re on your own, they stick you on the worst table). It was great to have a relaxing swim in the pool after a day driving. Lovely belle epoque town too, with good walks. Parking also very convenient. It was a nice discovery for a stopover and I will go there again.
It was all good; maybe a little cramped at the breakfast buffet but no major problem as everyone was polite and considerate.

The breakfasts were very good as was the evening meal we had one night. The staff were very pleasant and efficient
We were disappointed with the room. It was at the back of the hotel and was permanently gloomy. The room was small and the bathroom rather cramped. The first evening there was an unpleasant smell of sewage, However the room was clean. The new swimming pool was a disappointment as around the edges it did not appear to be finished.

The staff at the hotel were superb, so helpful and friendly. The room (we had an upgraded room) was large, clean. We were offered a shower or bath which was nice. A cute Juliet balcony gave us some nice outdoor views.
We had parking, and although it was outside and not secure it was nice to park off road and out of view.
We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good, as was breakfast. We didn't use the facilities (pool) so cannot comment.
Better parking would be preferred, and perhaps slightly cheaper.

the welcome was warm & accommodating.
location perfect.
small point: machine-delivered hot drinks at breakfast time not ideal - service ‘to order’ would have been nicer.
otherwise, nothing to complain about!

Classic French Hotel, beautiful

Beautifully decorated room. Most comfortable beds, cosy and warm. Very large bathroom. Great value for money. Best sleep we had in days. Very clean. We booked it at the last minute late evening and sent a message to ask the reception to wait for us as we were going to arrive past check-in time. They replied within minutes and found them waiting and welcoming. The receptionist even suggested a restaurant with directions which stays open till late. We cannot thank the staff enough.
Nothing, it exceeded our expectations by far. We were a bit sceptical as it is a small hotel in a small town in the countryside compared to what I am used to but really, really beautiful little town and exceptional hotel.

This is a classy hotel in an upmarket location with great scenery and wonderful buildings in abundance. The staff work tirelessly to provide efficient and helpful service. The restaurant is of a very high standard and we enjoyed superb food and wine. The lift was very useful in an older property such as this and greatly facilitated access for senior visitors.
This hotel clearly functions like an efficient machine and staff are all good at their jobs whilst the management appear to play a supporting role. Some might prefer a more conspicuous presence of the proprietor. The centre of town is a short walk away but the view is still pleasant. The rooms could benefit from a little updating whilst retaining a touch of elegance.
