it was beautiful setting, staff were brilliant…and the FOOD….very good products and portion size …. should be include in the hotel price
I am used to total quiet at night and I could hear the TV from the room next door…a little disappointing and the pillows were quiet firm

Room was very hot could do with air conditioning

beautiful, clean and luxurious, friendly staff
could have had a better stocked bar

It was very pretty, everything was clean and well maintained. The WiFi was good.
I cannot remember being at a hotel where there was only one socket in the room. My expectations are that there will be sockets near the bed so I can charge a phone and use it without getting out of bed. Here my husband and I had to share the socket. It is also very common to provide usb ports.

Friendly staff excellent food
No spa treatments available
6.0
Large reception area and space to sit in bar area with comfy chairs, large grounds to walk in. Friendly staff and good location to beach etc Gym, pool and sauna
Children can only swim 3-630pm and 1030-1130am so something to factor in and would have arrived earlier had we known. Rooms were dated but comfy. Ours only had one double socket in whole room and tv was in one so charging phones and making tea was tricky. Breakfast was extra unless book direct.

Overall a very nice stay
Breakfast was poor, sadly. Luke warm and partly uncooked

Great facilities and the staff couldn’t do enough to help

The location was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The whole stay was easy and relaxing. Just feels like the place needed a little extra care to things eg like light fittings to make it feel fresh .and updated.
We imagined with that extra touch the place could be a real winner it has a lot more potential
The breakfast was cooked well and there was a good choice
There was a fair bit of dust behind the bed, there was bird poo on the lamp over the bed, the towel rail I think needed an extra clean and the room had a distinct smell of old lady soap - apologies for description
In the pool area there was no shower gel etc so had to go upstairs and shower again

This hotel is pretending to be something it's not.
Horrendously over priced.
Extremely dated rooms.
Uncomfortable bed and pillows.
Sugar was rock hard in our room.
Paid over £50 for what looked like 2 school dinners.
DEAD RAT IN POOL.
Biggest disappointment staying in a hotel i have ever experienced.

the location, it is close to Durdle door, but specially the staff, they were all amazing
the indoor pool was cooler than I would spect, but still ok

The greeting upon arrival was very welcoming from Ellie, staff were lovely, rooms clean and tidy
The Hotel was empty, so no atmosphere, but on the plus side, we had the swimming pool, steam room, hot tub and sauna to ourselves and the bar most of the time, but this is no-ones fault, just one of those things.

It was close to the wedding we were supposed to go to.
On the morning of our stay I was pinged by NHS Track and Trace as a close contact. I was feeling like I had a cold but negative LFT. I was told to take a PCR test which I did at 9am. On my return I called the hotel immediately to cancel the booking as I didn’t want to risk infecting anyone. I was told the manager was back on Tuesday and they would let me know about a refund. I also logged this via the booking.com site.
On Sunday my result came back positive. I uploaded this to the site again.
A week later and no response so I message again, and again no response.
I am not expecting them to refund it all due to the short notice, but some offer of good will due to the circumstances would have been nice when I paid £148 for the room.
Still no response… but they keep asking me to review my stay!

Excellent dining

gorgeous surroundings and peaceful. staff were helpful and informative. breakfast was lovely.
took a while to get served at the bar and it got put on our room tab as the card machine wasn’t working but he didn’t tell us the price so we didn’t know the bill until checking out which was quite expensive when you broke it down per drink. couldn’t book a specific time for the jacuzzi so we didn’t use it as others were always in it. a booking system would be helpful to ensure some private time in there

I loved the location of the hotel. It was located on a quiet lane and charming rural location. The fields and forest around the hotel was tranquil.
The gym facilities was excellent. The staff were mostly very friendly and and there were plenty of them around.
The hotel room was a little tired but effort has been made to modernise it. Some services were unavailable due to the weather but it doesn't explain why lifts would be out of order.
The pictures online looked amazing but we did not a chance to properly look around but it did not look well-maintained.
Dinner services were excellent but pork belly was disappointing.

I don’t generally eat much at breakfast but I was very happy with what you provided
More meals to choose on the dinner menu.

Lovely hotel, staff were friendly, hotel was clean, grounds were beautiful would definitely go back and stay again.
Evening meals were not served until after 7pm which was a bit late for us as I was staying with a child, also the beauty facility was closed and I'd been looking forward to a hot stone massage

The pools are both lovely, not too busy and clean.
We were able to upgrade to a balcony room. The rooms were clean.
Sauna was great!
The food in the evening wasn’t great and was overpriced compared to quality. There were also two invoice issues upon leaving which if we hadn’t noticed could have resulted in us paying double for our stay and duplicating some drinks we had paid for at the bar already.
Most of the facilities are a little dated. E.g old fashioned TVs, lockers for pool area etc.
No cocktails served at bar.

Friendly staff, nicely kept Gardens and spacious communal areas. Spa and swimming pool were excellent.
The room door locks were annoying

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Dining staff were also very friendly and efficient. Food was excellent so hats off to the chef! We had dinner twice and breakfast on our final morning - no complaint whatsoever. The whole hotel was peaceful with some lovely features (lake outside bedroom window - we were on the second floor) and in essence, a lovely experience.
Covid restrictions meant that the rooms were not serviced. We were not informed this would not happen and when we asked for more toilet roll we were given a letter detailing Covid restriction information which we should have received when we checked in. This would have avoided much confusion as we had come from a couple of days in Portsmouth where our room was serviced. Wifi signal is shocking, very poor.
